Obnoxious picture time feat. my waist and absurdly long arms. This is a 20 inch corset and I had at least a 3 inch gap between the lacings. I don’t find this fit particularly great for significant reduction (the shape doesn’t dart in enough) but it was extremely inexpensive and I look forward to breaking it in! My previous smallest corset is a 22 inch by What Katie Did which I can very comfortably lace shut. -I am a nerd about this and I’m not sorry-

I’m wearing my 22" Cs-201 in mesh at about an inch gap. you can maybe juust see the flossing I’ve put on the boning channels to stop the spiral bones popping through. One came through last week which I was less than impressed with because I’ve only had the corset maybe two months >:( well, at least it means pretty flossing.. hah.

I originally thought this post was going to be about hip fit, as I noticed the flaring over this slender client’s tummy, but then I realized in fact, that it was a matter of proper corset placement. The first three photos are taken with the corset about ½" too high on her body, which meant that it couldn’t be laced tighter comfortably, and therefore flared at the bottom and didn’t support her lower abdomen well. I loosened and moved the corset down just a touch so that the waist of the corset snuggled into her waist more comfortably. I was then able to snug the corset in just a touch more, and the whole thing fit better and far more smoothly. Correct placement and careful lacing is EVERYTHING ! So much so that I often recommend that taller people lacing shorter people sit down so that the corset doesn’t ride up. Corset by: darkgardencorsetry
