“forests” = minuscule form of what trees on Earth can be, basically saplings “mesas” = not landforms, but petrified ancient tree trunks IIRC the theory goes that all forests on Earth were destroyed ages ago and it takes them ridiculous times to regrow, with those giant mammoth redwood trees just being the oldest ones that have grown the most

Mendigo and Hugo Headcanons!

I haven’t read the books in years so forgive me for being an idiot. These are a mix of mine and Admin Crow’s HCs by the way lol

- Hugo often tries asking Kendra and the faries to help him make flowercrowns

-Mendigo likes to climb onto the roof and be a lookout (and to be tall lol), but that didn’t happen as much after Seth shot him off the roof with his slingshot and into the pool.

-Seeing as Mendigo is shorter than Hugo, he often times is found climbing onto the golem’s shoulders just to be taller.

-HUGO LIKES TO CLOUD GAZE 

-With Mendigo being much smaller & weaker than Hugo, he has the gift of speed, so whenever he wants to join Hugo anywhere, he’ll rush ahead to the destination and when Hugo finally gets there Mendigo just turns his head towards him like ‘About time. What took you so long?’

-Mendigo sometimes gets jealous of Hugo having flowers and the fairies being super colorful so Kendra occasionally breaks out a huge thing of paint and just paints little flowers and stuff and it’s all just really soft and adorable.

Okay so Mr. Mull made a mistake. Near the end of the fifth book there’s a sentence, “Seth was currently off watching TV with Hugo, Mendigo, and the satyrs.” But then near the beginning of the first Dragonwatch book where they get Mendigo back for the first time. That is not my point right now so I’ll stop ranting!

But you cannot convince me that Hugo and Mendigo don’t cuddle while watching TV okay. I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise

OKAY SO Headcanon that Seth likes Minecraft - hear me out here - so he somehow manages to, I don’t know, smuggle in a laptop with Minecraft on it or something? Don’t question me. Anyway, he shows Hugo the game and just. Remembers that iron golems exist. And shows Hugo the iron golems. 

Cue happy dirt boi. He has blocky metal friends now.
