Digital collage, Photoshop. I made a version of this over the course of several hours yesterday and put that much more time into it today. The funny thing is, I like the original more now than I did yesterday. They're both good. I could add a QR code to the previous version. AI helped a little with the cast gold shape, but I don't think it saved any time after are all the hand painting I did before/during/after that step. I picked up this mysterious art object at Portland Arts Collective. It looks 3D printed, but it's filled with some kind of liquid and embeddings, like an artificial gem. The woman told me the strange symbol was a nautical or aeronautic symbol that represents the Northern Lights. I used AI for the material conversion of that shape into gold, but it took a LOT of handpainting. I passed it between Gemini and Photoshop three times over about an hour, so please don't give me shit about AI, haha. http://dlvr.it/TMGVRB
