Yes, and if they say they wouldn't be upset that Tiana would be whitewashed then they're liers. I mean I would be angry about it. As I stated in another post before.

The little mermaid was written as white, was white in the film, is based in Denmark and based on a European fairytale, but is cast as black. How is this not racist and cultural appropriation? I mean what do they want, culture appropriation or racial diversity?

It's simply race bending. Taking a iconic Disney character and changing her look completely different. Plus due to many of the live-action Disney remakes they went to such great links to make the actors and actresses look almost actually like their animated counterparts. This choice for Arial is just pandering to a different demographic. I mean there are so many Africa folklores, stories, legends, out there that I and a lot of people out there would love to see. It's like saying "You're not worth the time or effort. Here's a white hand me down." That's insulting. Plus the people who don't like the change are simply pointing it out and being attacked and called racist for it. Well I guess I'm a evil racist because I don't want black people to have white people sloppy seconds. And wanting them to have their own ideas, stories, legends and folklores be heard and enjoyed world wide.
