Jude haven’t had free time lately to spend with @lovelyriah. The both of them got caught up in business. Her with Graduation, and then him with new signages and music. Truth be told….He missed her.
After wrapping up the day, he thought about what his mind kept repeating throughout the day. This man was missing this girl to the point where his thoughts of kissing her when he saw her came into play. Jude respected Mariah though, he didn’t want those rumors spreading to actually turn out to be the whole damn truth.
It was a struggle.
“Riah…we should talk.” He parked the car at the sea shore. The two decided to meet to gets some ice cream and catch up.
Mariah was busier than she ever thought she would be. The show was picking up a fan base, she switched majors, disappointed her father, got cut off, and still managed to graduate. Jude was on her mind majority of the time, but she understood that friends let life take their attention.
The distance even made her realize that Jude played a major role in her life. When she first came out to Long Beach for school he was the first one she grew close to. "This sounds bad." She had no idea what to expect.
What You Afraid Of? #RHLB
Confessional: I don’t like when people switch up the way they behave on account of what people think. I don’t want Mariah to fall into that category. Today, I made sure she was alone, no other friends around, no “daddy” or brothers.
Jude stirred his coffee and watched as @lovelyriah finished her breakfast.
“How was the cook out with ya friends?”
Confessional: The cookout was a mess, my brother practically called me a homewrecker, and to go from FBI director to wanting to be a news anchor doesn't sit right with my dad, so I'm not feeling life these days.
Mariah didn't want to even talk about her weekend. It was chaotic start to finish. She finished her last piece of bacon, and wiped her mouth. "The cookout was a mess. The ladies got into it, Versace threw a drink at Gizelle, and it was just classless and tasteless. Then my night was followed with a day full of disappointments." She swallowed hard as her eyes got watery.
"My family thinks you're clouding my judgment and that dealing with a married man on any grounds is a bad look for the family." Mariah looked straight across at him. "And I told them things just look weird but we're not that, but you know what the public's perception can do to a senator during an election year." She shrugged as a tear fell, letting her action speak louder than her words.
Confessional: Family above all, right? (She patted her eye)
Confessional: And there you have it.
Jude didn’t want to see Mariah cry or be upset. He wasn’t expecting that emotion from her and before he decided to speak, he made sure he would respect her at all cost.
“I care about you. So much that I’m not going to allow you to put this type of pressure on you when you don’t need it at all Riah.” He shrugged. “So what, your family don’t think I’m a good example let alone fit to even be around you because of my background and my personal life. I get that, I do...but you a grown woman, and it’s your maturity that caught my attention from jump. It wasn’t your face or your rep. I don’t need that kind of exposure. I’m self made.” He made that clear first.
“If my personal life if going to get in the way of you makin ya family happy then imma back off, but not before sayin this first...you got to make your own decisions cause your happiness means more to you than to me or them. When are you going to live your life for yourself? The fuck are you afraid of? You made it so very clear to me that you were in charge of ya own life. Remember that? Remember when I shunned you? You let me know quick that you weren’t that kind of girl. Now look at us. You got me at your every call. I’m right here.”
Confessional: Our connection was deeper than sex could take us. We understood each other on a mental note which made having these moments with him so real.
Mariah reached over abd grabbed his hand. "I can't do it alone." She stared in his eyes. As long as she had him to catch her, being without her family would be easier to handle.
“Just tell me what you want to do and you know I got you. “ he assured. “It ain’t gonna be easy. What’s the worst thing that could happen tho? What do you really got to lose? Cause from what I see, your dreams are right at ya feet. You just got to reach and take that shit.”
"Just a little encouragement when I'm feeling down, and to never let me stray away from the goal; be my person."

That Feeling
Confessional: I have majority of the women feel like I don't bring much to the group, because of my age but I think I fall in the same boat as a few unmarried women here. [She chuckles] Nonetheless, the purpose of me being in Long Beach is to finish ny degree in forensic science and carry on the family name in the law and political career. It's very stressful when you're a girl who lives for everything, but politics.
"I don't even know why my dad is coming down by himself, but if it's one thing my dad loves it's BBQ food." Mariah was at Home Depot with Jude looking for a grill for her patio. The Senator was coming to drop in on her, and this was an unscheduled visit so her nerves were shot.
"How was your day with the little ones, yesterday?"
Confessional: With jude going through a divorce and our relationship being as close as it is I see the comments, but the shit doesn't phase me.
@lawbyjude
Jude had no issues with meeting the Senator. What Mariah failed to realize is that Jude was heavy with politics. He had a close relationship with Obama himself, so in his eyes, meeting her father was more of an honor than something to feel nervous about. His age and maturity had a lot to do with it. He was a grown as man who knew how to handle himself and well. Jude did much of everything in his power to have her understand that everything would be good. He and Mariah were good friends, and its not like they crossed the line. They never had sex, never had been intimate, they just enjoyed each others company. Even though Jude had broken up with his long time girlfriend, rumors were already circulating that him and Mariah had been an item. It was just rumors that he didn't mind setting the record straight on, especially if her father had questions about it.
"He's okay. Babies are happy most of the time. I was able to take him and spend time with him before I left." Jude, during his relationship with Jayde, had one son. Jayde was also currently pregnant with his twins.
"Far as the twins go, the doctors appointment went well. So you seem like you're still nervous...we been strolling around home depot for an hour without picking a grill out. Whats wrong?"
Confessional: I love my father down, but being a vet and then going into politics meant that he had to run a tight ship. Even now, he's paying for school so keeping daddy happy is top priority.
Mariah was conditioned to keep her personal business to herself, because of who her father is. It wasn't on purpose for her to be guarded, but the way her life was molded. People would kill to have any information against her father and his legacy.
"What's wrong is that he never does pop up and not to mention I told my brother I was thinking about changing my major, the tabloids talking about us, and then the reality show. He's going to lose his shit." Mariah was a daddy's girl and keeping him happy was the main goal, plus he made sure she didn't have to work.
Confessional: Being on the show is a great opportunity for me to explore all of life options, but my father is old school and the depiction of black people on reality tv hasn't been the best.
They stopped in front of the same stainless grill with an attached smoker that she continued to stop at. Mariah was really trying to figure out how she was going to get thru this one. "Ohh, and I hope you being on the show in a few scenes with me isn't messing with your kids and wife." Mariah was going to address Jayde as such, because against public opinion she did respect their union.
“Ahh my EX GIRLFRIEND, has no say in what I do. My kid is a baby, I’m sure he’s okay.”
Mariah chuckled and shook her head. Jude was a man's man for sure and made sure he was the lead in most situations from what she picked up. It reminded her of her dad a little. "I think I'm going to go with this one. Now if I have to call you over to help get this thing started don't be shocked." A small giggled exited her mouth.
“It’s smart to play around with it before the pop up.” Jude suggested. “You need to cook on it first. Shit looks too new and ya dad gonna know you frontin.” He chuckled.
“Far as school and majors go, why not be honest? I think your father will respect you more if you upfront about how you feel and let him know what you been doing. Shoot all that shit down quick.”
Jude believed in being transparent. He was almost too transparent himself. Everyone on the outside looking in, just knew he and Mariah were messing around, but they were wrong. Jude was transparent in how he treated her in public. He held her hand, he showcased his manners by opening her door, closing it, and they were playful; so yea, anyone could get that idea, but it was innocent.
“Tell the truth about us too. I’m sure he has questions.”
Confessional: Tell him the truth? First off there isn't any truth and shockingly he hasn't asked about the chatter around my name.
It was evident that Jude had no idea what it meant to be the daddy's girl, or a daughter period. There were certain things that were expected out of a daughter that wasn't expected from a boy. "Just mentioning that a guy is being friendly might get him to pull me out of school, and with you being way older he's liable to figure out how to get you locked up. You're a new age daddy, this man is traditional through and through." Mariah smiled and patted his chest. The age jokes circled between the two of them normally. "I will take your advice and throw a little cookout for the girl's this weekend to bang it up."

Quick stop Ep 1.
The RHLB scene opened up with Jude Law standing outside of his car. He was awaiting @lovelyriah to be done with her class sessions for the day. Jude met Mariah at one of his album signings. The two instantly connected and linked up on a few occasions. Today, was just one of those days.
Mariah was drained from last night, and when she was done filming she still had to study. The one thing she couldn't slack on was her grades, because her parents held education above all. It calmed her mind to see Jude waiting out front. "You convincing me to try out this new venture, draining." The woman chuckled as she gave him a hug before getting in the car.
“It’s all new to you right now so it’ll feel like that for a while. Soon you’ll start to fall In it.” He convinced and encouraged her.
Mariah looked over at him, and rubbed the back of his neck. “How are you doing? What’s new in your world.” She needed to talk about anything other than the stresses of her life.
“My nigga Brim Taylor retiring from music. We gonna celebrate with him and his fam soon. I was gonna ask you if you wanted to come with me.”
The rapper turned to look at her. “Good opportunity to network.”
“I’m down, only if you come with me to the winter ball.” Mariah looked back at him with a slick smile on her face. They both knew the other would agree regardless, but she was waiting for the right opening to bring it up,
Ep 1
Jelena had talked to her man, focused on some business, and was ready to step out and shop for this upcoming event that Versace was having. It seemed to be for a fundraiser and that was right up Jelena’s alley.
She needed a dress for the event and what better way than to invite @lovelyriah out to get to know her better. She officially knew all the girls besides Mariah and she wanted to make nice. Jelena had really turned a new leaf from her past life. She just wanted to get along with the girls and enjoy sharing her life on the show.
She walked into a clothing boutique in downtown LB. She had rented out the space so they could shop in peace.
Confessional: I decided to invite Mariah out to shop while we get to know each other better before Sace’s event. I don’t want to be on bad terms with any of the girls.
She walked into the store. “Hi, I’m just waiting for my friend. I guess I will start looking though.” The owner handed her a glass of champagne as she began to look through some dresses.
@rpgrhlb
Confessional: When I got the call from Jelena to meet up, and go shopping I was a little apprehensive. At the dinner I didn’t like that she found a voice after Versace left, but since she extended an olive branch I thought it was the right thing to do to accept.
Mariah was impressed that Jelena actually bought out the entire store for them. She was used to her dad having to do it, because he was a senator but it showed that Jelena was a boss in herself. After she grabbed the glass of champagne she found Jelena in the store.
“Hey sweetie.”
“Hey, thanks for joining me. I figured that we could shop for Sace’s event and get to know each other a bit better. I know that the other day was a lot.”
Jelena didn’t want to come off like a bitch when she first met people. She could tell that Mariah probably didn’t agree with how she handled the situation and that was fine. She wasn’t tryna impress anybody.
“I do want to apologize for what happened. I never thought it would get out of hand like that.” She sipped her champagne and started to pull a few dress options to try on.
“No problem.”
Confessional: Now when I first agreed to meet Jelena I hadn’t gotten popped up on by Sace, so here we go.
Mariah wasn’t involved in the drama, but just wanted the girls to be able to get along. She respected that the two had a different opinion, but she still had no ill will in her heart. “I accept, and appreciate it. I just hope that we can all do better the next time we’re around.” Mariah took a sip of her drink, and looked through the dresses. She was never the type to beat around the bush, so she wasn’t going to waste Jelena’s time.
“So I actually talked to Sace the other day, and told her that I was meeting up with you. She wanted me to let you know that you aren’t invited.” The younger lady peeked over at her, not sure how she would take it. “I asked her why, and she said you should know.”
