I was salivating for this chapter! Oh my goodness, the yashisato domestic bliss ignore the kidnapping. I wonder if this would echo a consensual yashisato relationship: Yashiro treading carefully not to spook Satoru, while also loving the fact he gets to pamper him. Satoru blushing and understanding Yashiro maybe with some wariness in the early stages of the relationship. Again, I love how whipped Yashiro is for Satoru. Not to bring something dark but the difference how Omega! Satoru is treated compared to Reconciliation!Satoru is what caught my attention. The Yashiros are different too. Alpha!Yashiro is so much more caring and allows him to go out. He gives him space and doesn’t chain him up.I love seeing Satoru noticing how the house is giving the appearance of a cozy and warm place, when it’s not. Kenya in reconciliation noticed that too. Just like the owner, it only appears that way.
Thank you for another wonderful chapter! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it!!
Honestly it's something I'm glad you picked up on, cause it was something I was thinking about a lot while writing!! I was thinking about all the reasons I think Yashiro acts the way he does, and then it was like: "okay, but if he had this base primal instinct, how would that change things?" and really working it back from there.
In Reconciliation, Yashiro just wants to keep him by any means necessary. Meanwhile, alpha!Yashiro wants to be mates, and all that entails. He's coming from a perspective more like: "I'm going to take care of you, no matter what (positive and negative)." So in that sense, he does want Satoru's affection and approval, but even if Satoru isn't on board, he still finds that co-existence satisfying.
And yeah, I think a consensual Yashisato would work in a similar way! Yashiro being still too obsessed/possessive/scary, but generally falling into this house-husband mode. And like you said, Satoru being wary and not entirely trusting it but... willing to give it a try, because he knows he's holding Yashiro's leash.
In that sense, Satoru would be in control of the situation cause Yashiro doesn't want to lose what they have -- but Yashiro is always one step from just flying off the handle. (And probably would, occasionally, go overboard in that possessive side.) At least, that's what I think!
