I have been so stressed out these last few weeks, and I did not want to say why because I didn't want to jinx what was going on. But I have not been able to focus on anything else because of this.

But I have been interviewing for a job and everything was finalized today, and I have signed the contract. It pays significantly more than my current job, and is in a better location, with more amenities, so I am SUPER happy, and suddenly feel like I can breathe again.

I hopefully will be able to come back to writing and will be around this weekend now that I am not stressed out of my god damn mind

With how unexpected it was to see Shane with a tattoo - Ilya didn't properly think through how the other would react to his response. "I understand, is ok. I am sorry for not being more direct. Is just big surprise, good surprise I love it." He smiles encouragingly pressing a light kiss to the side of Shane's face. "You were nervous is normal but you are very brave for even getting it. Show you are good person who does not back down when they things get difficult or not go their way. I admire that about you Shane," he smiles running a hand over Shane's back. "Fine I will not tattoo my dick." He replies with a playful roll of his eyes. "You are always sexy but we do not have to have sex right now is ok We can just sit, I will hold you and kiss you and tell you how I love you. And that world will know I own your ass."

"You didn't do anything wrong, my brain just likes to convince me things are bad when they're not sometimes." Shane stated, letting out a soft sigh, he knew his anxiety could get the best of him, but he hated to see it happen in front of Ilya the most. "You admire my ability to lose a bet?" He questioned with a little snort, pulling his head back from where he was hiding it in the crook of Ilya's neck. "I can think of some other places you could tattoo instead." He mused, slowly letting his nerves ease out of him. "Carry me to the couch and I'll consider letting you own my ass this morning."

"I prefer 100, is nice even number." Ilya whispers in reply as he nuzzles their noses together. "I am only few weeks younger than you so it won't be hard." The sweet words Shane shared only made Ilya whine with happiness again. "You are so good with words Shane. I love when you are so good to me." He whispers pressing their foreheads together. "Yes ring on my finger and imprint of you on my heart, is perfect." He whispers aware of the jealousy that rolled off Shane when he even suggested the idea of marrying Svetlana so many years ago. "Fuck I do not remember what I even said I was so distracted by cute freckles. I said something about beating you or I'm not sure but I melted in that moment for you. Just took longer for my brain to catch up to my heart." At the mention of their kids learning French in school Ilya scoffed rolling his eyes. "Please they will be fluent before they start. Then they will show off to class. Especially when they throw in some Russian too," he smiles at the idea of their children growing up. "And you will always have me Shane." He whispers kissing him again before settling himself down into his neck. "Ok I think I am ready to sleep again. No more nightmares about Rose Landry having beautiful babies with your freckles." He murmurs kissing Shane's chest, "You are all mine." He adds possessively lightly nipping at his neck in an effort to leave a hickey behind.

"Ambitious, but I'll agree to it." Shane hummed, bringing his hand up to gently card through Ilya's curls. "Lucky for you, I'm always good to you. Even despite the fact you won't drink my breakfast smoothies." He teased lightly before letting out a quiet little laugh into the space between them. "You were this stupidly cocky and arrogant Russian hockey player, but you were the only person I'd ever met who could keep up with me. I thought I just had a hockey crush on you, and then you went and changed my whole world." He continued. "Maybe we teach them Japanese first instead, turn them into real polygots." Shane couldn't help but smile into the kiss, settling back down against the pillow, more than content to fall asleep like this. "Yours." He confirmed, playfully swatting his husbands shoulder as he felt the teeth on his neck. "I thought you were going to sleep."

"Oh sweetheart," Ilya sighs before turning Shane around so they can have proper eye contact with each other. "You are thinking too much about words. Jersey just, I don't know I like my name on you and to grab it and is just uh what the fuck is word, semantics? Is not serious baby please," he whispers pleadingly cupping Shane's face in his hands. "I love it, if you get rid of it I will be sad." He whispers softly leaning in pressing their foreheads together. "You will see it. Is good enough for me and I can post on Instagram if you wanted. Shane I will do anything for you you know this. Now do I get to bend you over or no," he whispers into Shane's ear as he reaches back to grab his ass.

Shane always knew his brain was wired a little differently, but he'd never been able to explain why. He tended to take things literally, social cues were never one of his strongest suits, it was a part of himself he had never been fond of. "I can't help it, I was anxious to show you." He admitted. "I built the moment up a lot in my head, maybe too much." Letting out a sigh he just leaned in to rest his forehead against his husband's shoulder. "Do not post your dick on Instagram, and do not tattoo your dick." He mumbled letting out a quiet laugh. "Give me a minute here, I'm still recovering from my embarrassment, I need a second to feel sexy again."

"Wow excuse me. There is so much history I was not aware. Congratulations though on being able to keep it up so long and a secret. I am sure that was difficult." Sergei nods knowing that a relationship itself is hard to maintain let alone with another man, especially for Russians. When he thinks of that stretch of time he remembers the Olympics and how that must have made things even harder. To see his cousin so happy made Sergei smile. "I am very happy for you cousin," he smiles reaching over to clap his shoulder. "I hope to maybe meet this boring Canadian someday." He laughs imagining how that would be an interesting meeting. "Yes now two best players on same team is very bad for me but if I remember you have not scored on me yet. Hollander has though so maybe that makes him best player," he smirks giving his cousin a wink. "Here have another drink with me please." He offers pouring each of them more vodka. "Is the good kind from Russia I drink nothing else."

"It was not always easy, I was scared of my own feelings for awhile, I pushed him away at times. I didn't know what it would mean for me, for my life in Russia, and for us, for our career as hockey players." Ilya admitted, not always proud of the way he treated Shane when they were younger. "But I realized I loved him, and it had always been him. He is why I traded to the Centaurs, why we started the charity. That big beautiful brain of his came up with this whole plan on how we could make it work, and I knew then I was never looking back." He couldn't help but smile, so endeared by his husband even when he wasn't present. "You will meet, perhaps we will have a family reunion this summer, you bring your family and I will bring mine, It would be nice." He mused, sure they could figure out the logistics somewhere in there. "Is very good for me though, we were already strong at the end of last season. Now we might actually win the cup now that Shane and I are playing together. We can thank the Metro's for being such pieces of shit they fumbled the only good thing they had going for them." He spoke Shane's old team name with an evident disdain. "Yes please, I might be a Canadian citizen now, nothing beats Russian Vodka. The North American crap is like sewer water over here."
