Well, thank you. I’m glad if my personal clarity inspires respect. I just feel sad that meanness and bullying gets to win so often in this world. It’s not in my DNA to sit silently when people are lying and being hateful. Most people on the planet are doing the best they can. Life is hard enough without cruel harassment.
Combine that with my tendency to think for myself and I guess it’s inevitable that I’m going to stick to my take on my own blog. As I often say, I have absolutely ZERO factual basis for doubting the love, respect, and bond between Tessa and Scott. If I ever see an actual FACT that they have separated and/or are with other people, that is the day I will react. (I might add that even if they were with other people it does NOT automatically mean they no longer love and respect each other.) Meanwhile, thousands of hours of recorded and printed materials reveal again and again how solid, kind, professional, and loving Tessa and Scott are to each other and everyone else.
I do hope that the people who aren’t crazy continue to stick together in the fandom, no matter how informally. And, again, to be clear: Being crazy does not mean someone disagrees with me. There are a lot of people in the fandom who don’t ship who I respect and like. Being crazy in this context means being a psychopath and a narcissist who actively taunts, humiliates, lies, and bullies other people to attain a perverse (and fleeting) delusional sense of dominance.
In honor of this subject matter, I’ll share my own Lesley Jones moment (that is the moment that I said to myself, “Uh, that’s not just performing. Those two are a couple!”). When I saw this moment in replay and how intensely they were looking at each other:
So, you know, I could be wrong. It’s been known to happen. But as fitslikeakey says, even if we are wrong, the crazy bully/anti-VM narrative is still a load of hot garbage. 😂
