i wanna add more to this and say obviously this isnt outright stated and should be taken with a grain of salt but. its very interesting how its spoken abt, especially since fausts final file reveals he essentially left his family (and i suppose family name to start life anew?) after his father died and victoria says that shes the only member of the family now / the only one not weak despite not implying at all that her brother is dead and only says their relationship was strained in the past.

worth noting to say as well; victoria and faust do come from the same place (varaki town), and victoria seems to view faust as her equal.

alchemy stars' plot isnt anything special so far but the character convos are so fun because the MC's character consists mostly of being very weak and easily scammable but also theyre going to have an attitude about it
