I’ve been sick since Monday and it make brain no worky.
There’s certain conversations that are impossible in text, but luckily there are certain people I can trust not to misunderstand me when I barely understand myself. It’s taken so long to figure this out, and now I’m terrified.
A split second of eye contact has haunted me for almost fifteen years. It started my rapid descent into alcoholism, but now I’m sober and honest with myself. It still makes me want to vomit. I still hate myself for things I can’t control. I’d almost let it go until yesterday. Prickles. Prickle city.
Yet I remain inspired. I’ve lost 19 pounds since the beginning of the month, continue to interview for jobs back home, and I’m so eager to live my own life (but with my delightful cat, Tito) for the first time in a decade.
