Geeking Out about the Amarna Pavement and Amelia Peabody
Time for an Ancient Egypt geek-out!
I’ve been rereading the first Amelia Peabody book, Crocodile on the Sandbank (you can read through quotes from this book I love dearly in my “quote all the AP” tag), and I’m legitimately excited to get to the section talking about the Pavement in Amarna.
Why? Because I’ve seen some of the Amarna Pavement, and I’m going to share my pictures and info with you!
(also, moment to say how cool it is that the Amelia Peabody books talk about real Ancient Egyptian artifacts and features that you can see; sure, it’s historical fiction–fabulous historical fiction!–but you’ll also learn some super sweet stuff)
