This piece is made from various medias including acrylic and oil paint for the main painting. I used handwoven silk from Thailand which adds a lot of softness and charm whilst the genuine SWAROVSKI crystals and vintage mirrors add a fantastic outburst of colour, encompassing and reflecting the days light to create a room full of sparkling colours. The bed which the mandala is lying in is made with 24 carat gold leaf. Size: 1 m x 1 m

Alhambra Dreams

"Getting knocked down in life is a given. Getting up and moving forward is a choice."- This painting is inspired by my visit to the Alhambra in Granada. I was fascinated with the highly complex geometric patterns. I used a mixture of medias including acrylic paint, 24 carat gold leaf, mosaic mirrors and oil paints. Size: 80 cms x 80 cms

This piece is made from various medias including acrylic and oil paint for the main painting. The handwoven silk from Thailand which adds a lot of softness and charm whilst the genuine SWAROVSKI crystals and vintage mirrors add a fantastic outburst of colour, encompassing and reflecting the days light to create a room full of sparkling patterns. The crystals really help the Sri Yantra symbol explode the energy from within.

Sri yantra is known as the mother of all yantras because all other yantras derive from it. In its three dimensional forms Sri Yantra is said to represent Mount Meru, the cosmic mountain at the center of the universe. Together the nine triangles are interlaced in such a way as to form 43 smaller triangles in a web symbolic of the entire cosmos or a womb symbolic of creation.  - 1 m x 1 m

This piece really excited me as the technique I used was completely new to me. I wanted to create a dreamy effect with the Flower of Life emerging from the background.

I used water colours, acrylic and oil paints.

The crystals are genuine SWAROVSKI crystals which add a rainbow effect,24 carat gold leaf and turquoise gemstone known as a symbol of wealth in many ancient cultures. Strength, protection from harm, psychic sensitivity and connection to the spirit world
