I was blinded. Blinded by the love I received and replaced it with the love I deserved. Around our friends you were a saint. You showed me a love that was like a fairytale. You danced with me on sidewalks at midnight, told me I was a princess, & made all of my friends love you. I fell in love you with you because you showed me a love I always wanted. By the time I was in love with you it was too late to turn back. I began to see your love behind closed doors. The manipulative, lying, yelling, hurtful person you were came out. You would tell me I was worthless and I believed it because I loved you. I believed that I could turn bad to good, but all that happened was you were good until you had me wrapped around your finger and went back to the same hurtful you. I'd confront you and you'd blame me. I'd say no and you'd say yes. But once I realized that I was in love with only one side of you I left. Because no one wants a I love you infront of their friends to be you're not good at anything when you're alone.

It's scary giving someone your heart. Because you have to trust them when they say they'll take care of it. When there's apart of you that knows they could drop it at any time, repeatedly hurt it, or neglect it. But you choose to allow them to have it because the possibility of having their heart too and falling in love is better than the reality of them throwing your heart to the ground and it breaking into a million pieces and you laying on your bathroom floor unsure of where to start repairing it or if you even want to. Because once your heart is broken you can never repair it the same. So next time you look into those baby blues decide if you want to allow them to throw your heart to the ground.
