If there's anything the online reaction to Takopi's Original Sin has proven, it's that people cannot handle abuse victims behaving realistically instead of like Perfect Victims.

If you think a 9 year old victim of severe abuse deserved to die, that says more about you, to be honest.

Anyways. Marina is a bad person and deserved consequences for her actions, but she didn't deserve to die. She deserved to be helped just as much as Shizuka deserves help.

Can you guys be normal about abuse and trauma victims please.

That's impossible for some people it seems unfortunately. If you did not feel an ounce of sadness or sympathy for Marina or even understood how fucked up her situation is... just... how? How??? That's on you not on Marina or any real life children like her.

No she should not have been taking out her trauma on Shizuka, but what else was she supposed to do? When no one taught her to act differently? When she was likely taught that abuse was a normal way of dealing with your emotions? When no one ever taught her otherwise how was she ever supposed to know???
