Today I shut my cat in the fridge.
Okay, so hereâs the deal. Â Tali loves the fridge. Â I donât know why, but every single time we open it, she bolts for it and jumps in. Â She crawls into the back of the fridge and nestles int the smallest little corner she can. Â Now naturally, my biggest fear has been that Iâll close the fridge without knowing sheâs in there. Â And of course, today I went to go grab my Brita filter to pour myself some water. Â I wasnât really watching the fridge, and I just opened and closed it really quickly to put the Brita back while I was looking somewhere else. Â And then I looked around and realized that Tali had been in the kitchen, and now she was nowhere in sight. Â So immediately, I throw open the fridge door, and there is is, hanging out in the back, content as can be.
Fridge cat just got weirder.  Today Tali got into the bathroom while I was showering, which of course made me a little nervous.  I didnât want her to freak out and hurt herself or go on a scratching spree.  But evidently she loves water, so she jumped in and just splashed around for a while and got back out.  But then she kept whining to get back in, so my boyfriend put a cooler down so she could get in and out with ease, which she took great advantage of.  Sheâs soaking wet now, and very content. Â
I told Tali she was famous. Â She and her stuffed husky celebrated.
âOne of the hardest lessons in life is letting go. Whether itâs guilt, love, anger, loss or betrayal, change is never easy. We fight to hold on and we fight to let go.â
â Lessons Learned in Life
Get the old version of you out your head. You are no longer your old self. You are who you want to be.
how do you tell someone "I'm not ignoring you, I'm just disconnected from reality rn and the days are all blurred together and I feel completely apathetic towards everyone/everything around me so it's really hard for me to maintain a conversation" without saying that?
âWhen youâre finally able to say âyes, I still miss him but I donât want him to come backâ, thatâs how you know youâre healing. Even if it still hurts sometimes.â

âThe ones who hurt us cannot heal us. Thatâs not the way it works. Thatâs not the way it ever works.â
â Ashleigh Catibog-Abraham, Thereâs Nothing Left to Save
âDonât give them a taste of their own medicine. They already know what it tastes like. Give them a taste of your own medicine. If they lied, let your medicine be honesty. If they played with your emotions, let your medicine be maturity. Donât be afraid to be yourself, even if it means removing yourself from lives that you want to be in. You are, no doubt, worthy of being valued for who you are. So be who you are.â
â Najwa Zebian
âYou couldnât have changed him. Your love is powerful but you cannot change a man who doesnât want to be changed. There was nothing you couldâve done so donât blame yourself, you done enough. You done the right thing by walking away because you cannot spend your life chasing a man who doesnât want to be caught.â
â sometimes you have to walk away because you know heâll break your heart if you stay.

âIt takes a lot of courage to walk away from someone and not go back to them.â
â - excerpt from a book Iâll never write #52 // @loveactivist
So much has happened in 2020 and it figures that my five year relationship would end in the final month. It took me a long time to come to my final decision to walk away from him, but i had to.
I just had to.
âIf you have been brutally broken, but still have the courage to be gentle to others, then you deserve a love deeper than the ocean itself.â
â Nikita Gill
