Please DO NOT PLAGIARISE my work, just a bit
of a shitty thing to do
If you enjoy the content and feel like supporting in a small way, I’ve set up a donation/tip option for anyone who’s feeling generous. Of course, there’s absolutely no pressure—your support, in any form, means the world to me!
Also, commissions will be opening soon, so if you've been thinking about
getting something custom where you are personally put in the story, keep an eye out for more info coming soon!
Thank you so much for being here and for all the love and support! 💖
Firstly and the most important, knowing that it is a contested issue, please remember that if I have written about real people (the f1 drivers), please remember that they are exactly that, REAL PEOPLE. These fics are works of fiction and is in no way actual representations of them, it is made up, for all in intents and purposes, they are fictional characters with how far detached these fics are from the ACTUAL PERSON! Please respect them as such. They do not know us, they have lives and friends and girlfriends and wives and absolutely all must be respected at all costs! IT IS ALL WORKS OF FICTION LOOSELY BASED ON THE FACT THAT THEY ARE F1 DRIVERS! because realistically, it's about the fact that they are drivers, and not them themselves. I do not own them, they are not objects I can do with what I will. This is incredibly NB for me to out out there. Please respect them as people! If any of them come out saying this stuff makes them uncomfortable or freaks them out (if it already exists please let me know) then the fic will automatically be deleted.
Secondly, I will not write smut, especially about real people.
Thirdly, Please mind the warnings on the fics. I have been entrusted with writing about incredibly sensitive topics and I always strive to do them justice in such a way that does not romanticise the topic, but instead shows the reality of such and allows those people to be seen in the face of what they struggle with. With that being said, you are 100% in charge of what media you choose to consume, that is on no one but yourself.
Fourth, please always be respectful. I am a person, it is not hard to be kind in the way you comment or approach me with concerns. I will always strive to be kind and respectful and if you cannot afford me the same curtesy, please remove yourself from this space. It is meant to be a safe space for all, and I expect that to be upheld.
Fifth, I may or may not write your request. I am not obligated to write what you request (everyone so far has been so respectful of my time and choices). Please respect if my requests are open.
Lastly, I will be moving away from writing about real people as often as I have, this is kind of a personal feeling I am having, all current fics will remain up but new types of fics are gonna come out like Top gun fandom etc etc. These are meant to be for me to practice being a writer and I will start writing work that is completely original so please feel free to request fics (when it is open) about scenarios that you want to see but with original characters <3 i love writing fics about little everyday moments we dont always have the luxury of seeing in main media <3
Im sorry if this isn't what you want to see, but this is what it is <3 Have a wonderful day my loves <3

This would be the third birthday Feyre would witness where Azriel had to suffer without his mate. They had worked tirelessly to try and find another shadowsinger to replace Eris’s own, in order to bring her home to her mate. But after two years, even Feyre was starting to give up, and it had only been two years. What had nearly 200 years done to Azriel. She shuddered at the thought of knowing Rhys existed, knowing the love that was shared between them, the love etched into their very beings, was denied because of a bargain born of cruelty.
You were a stronger female than she was because she knew there was no physical way she could have done what you did. The nights where she sat up with Nyx, her thoughts drifted to you. She wondered what kind of female you were now. Wondered what the choices you made in love had done to your soul. She prayed you were still hopeful, but then she thought of Azriel and she knew there was no way you still held out hope for any of it.
“Does she ever tug on the bond?” Nesta startled Feyre out of her thoughts with the question. She hadn’t even realized Nesta even remembered. She had to stop thinking of her sister like that. Nesta wasn’t the female she thought she was. She was kind, she cared, Azriel was her friend and she wanted the best for him, just like everyone else did, even if she didn’t show it in the same way Feyre did.
Cassains locks shook as his head did, brushing the edges of his shirt collar. “Asked him once,” a haunted look overshadowed his face, “he said she had blocked him out so completely, he wasn’t even sure she was still on the other end.” Feyre thought she was going to throw up. She had once and only once, not felt Rhys on the other end and that was the day he had died. There was no feeling as hollow as that. There was no pain she had experienced as when her bond went silent.
She had an entirely new found respect for Azriel. She also felt a new ache for him. The kind of ache where she felt her chest was being carved open. He knew his mate existed and yet, he couldn’t feel her, couldn’t even take solace in the bond that connected them to the other.
“Are you alright?” Rhys sent through their bond, curling around her in all her despair for her friend. Attempting to provide any comfort to her despite the distance between them.
“Cass said that Azriel cannot feel her bond.” She curled up in the feeling of him wrapping around her, giving thanks again and again to the love she got to experience from her mate.
There was no other response other than “I will fix this. I promise.” Feyre knew Rhys was meeting with Azriel as her, Nesta and Cass got ready for dinner. They had come to an agreement this year that instead of allowing Azriel to suffer his grief on his own, they would instead celebrate your life. Whether you were with them or not. This was where their high lord currently was, informing his spy master that he was expected at dinner, whether he wanted to be there or not.
_____
“No.” Azriel's voice was sharp, a bit through the air. A tone very rarely directed at his High Lord, but one always used when it came to discussions regarding his mate.
“I was not asking. You will be there. Consider it part of your job.” Rhys knew he was being unfair, but allowing Azriel to wallow in this sadness was all consuming. He didn’t need to be isolated, he needed to be among those who loved him. Rhys needed him at dinner tonight.
Rhys was halfway to the door, returning to his own work that needed to be completed before tonight, when he was stopped in his tracks by the strained voice of Azriel, “I knew you were cruel brother, I just didn’t realize that cruelty would ever be directed at me.”
Rhys slowly turned, ready to defend himself, ready to explain his entire thought process and explain just why this was going to be so good for him, but all words died in his throat the second he saw the tear slide down Azriel's cheek. What could he say to a male broken by his own hope? How would he ever convince him that things were going to be better and he would have you and have Azriel believe his words? There wasn’t. He knew a broken male when he saw one. A male without hope.
“I’ll see you tonight.” and with that, he left Azriel to face his own demons until they could all rally around him this evening.
_____
The tension was thick at the table. With Mor away and Amren doing who knows what, it left only Feyre, Nesta, Cassian and a very solemn Azriel at the table, all waiting for Rhys to join them at the dinner he insisted on.
Not a word was spoken as they watched Azriel down his fourth drink at the table, too scared to ask how many he had beforehand. Too scared to take the bottle away that lay next to him.
Not Rhysand though. He sauntered in, his hand only removing itself from his pockets as he made his way around the table, grabbing the bottle as he moved behind Azriel and placed it in front of his own seat instead.
All except Azriel looked to him, urging him on to get the dinner started before the tension ate through their bones.
“Good evening all,” it was all very formal considering this was the inner circle, “I understand that this evening was meant to be about celebrating Azriel,” a scoff came from the showdowsinger, one that the high lord chose to ignore, “but there are two pieces of business we need to address first.”
“God, now, really?” Feyre shot down the bond at lightning speed, but apparently Rhys was intent on ignoring everyone this evening.
“Firstly, Azriel, after dinner, you will be going to the cabin for a week. Consider it a much needed holiday.” Azriel didn’t even bother to lift his head, didn’t bother to even address the instruction given to him, only curling his shadows to pull the bottle away from Rhys instead, needing to fill his glass up again. The scraping along the table made by the bottle chaffed everyone's very soul as it moved past them.
“Secondly, we have a new member joining the night court, they will begin in a week.” Azriel might be content on ignoring Rhysand, but the rest of the dinner guests shot a look at the high lord standing at the head of the table. Before a single question could be asked, Rhys powered on, the arrogant smirk telling them all that he was having far too much fun with this very large secret he had apparently kept from everyone. “Azriel, they will be working directly with you, so, welcome to the newest member of the night court,” there was a momentary pause and if to add insult to injury, as if he couldn’t help himself, Rhysand lifted his glass, “And lastly, happy birthday.”
Azriel wasn’t sure why this was what threw him over the edge. The anger spilled from him as he swung his head up, eyes fixed on the High Lord, ready to hurl insult after cruel insult if need be, ready to make his brother feel how he was feeling at this exact moment, but when we tried to meet his glare, he noticed Rhysand's eyes were fixed above him, towards the door. The gasps were near silent, but not missed in the silence of the room and before he could even whip his neck around to look at just who Rhys was addressing, a plate of food was placed solely in front of Azriel. His eyes flowed up the elegant fingers, up your hand, raking over your arm until he met your eyes.
You.
All time had stopped. It couldn’t be. You were with Eris. He wouldn’t let you go. This was another cruelty enacted by his friends. Maybe they thought the hallucination would help him. Give him a moment of reprieve, but he felt his heart crack just that much more. It couldn’t be you.
“I made it myself.” That was your voice though. His shadows bristled at the sound, hesitant to reach out and touch you. To confirm you stood before him. To mingle with the shadows of your own, and as if you knew exactly what fears were warring behind his eyes, you reached out a hand and slowly grazed your fingers along his wing as you made your way behind him, taking a turn around the table to your seat, directly opposite him next to Cassian. Azriel had never had to exercise this level of self control before, the groan festering in his throat, begging him to spill out at just that small touch from you.
And it only increased as he realized what you had said. You’d made him a meal. His mate had made him a meal. His eyes darted between you and the plate in front of him and before he knew it, he had lurched forward in his seat, the sudden tug on his rib bones forcing him towards the table in front of him, hands gripping the arm rests so tightly he could almost hear the wood complain from beneath him.
His eyes shone with tears, it was the first time he had ever felt you tug on the bond, you’d reached out to him. And with the cock of your head, a glance down towards his plate, you were silently urging him on, two more tugs had him praying to the Mother that he could withstand every urge coursing through his veins to climb over the table and have you right there, be damned who was in the room. It would be up to them to get out fast enough.
“You can leave for the cabin the second you’re done with dinner.” It was as if Rhys could read his mind. The only word Azriel could use for the way he was suddenly scoffing down his food was animalistic and he only ate faster as he felt as he felt your unadulterated joy down the bond. You were happy with him.
He needed to feel this forever. You. His mate. Proud of him. But there was something else underneath it all. Under all that joy, it was love. He nearly choked on the feeling. His mate loved him. After years of barren empty nothingness between the two of you, he finally got to feel the bond between you and all the love that it brought. The love he had tried to suppress for 200 years.
He vaguely registered Feyre talking to you, he growled when Cassian leant in closer to welcome you home, even slightly heard Rhys give him a warning at that, but none of it mattered. He simply couldn’t take his eyes off of you, and he wouldn’t, for months. He made that promise to himself right here and now that he was not going to take his eyes off of you for months. After 200 years of not being able to even catch a glimpse of you, he refused to miss even a second from this point on.
All conversation halted as Azriel's chair scraped across the floor. He noted how your breath had distinctly stopped as he stalked around the table towards you. Only once he was a few paces from you, did you finally rise. God, everything you did reminded him of his own shadows. Every movement from you flowed effortlessly.
Azriel was distinctly aware that this was the exact moment that would change his life forever. He didn’t care that you were in front of his family, he didn’t care that they would all see him in his most desperate form, all he cared about was you. His hands slid across your jaw, gently cupping your face, he felt your hands grip the shirt lying taut across his chest and he kissed you. 200 years worth of waiting was poured into that first kiss. 200 years of yearning and pain and isolation from his mate was obliterated as he felt your lips kiss him back. The blond flaring to life, as if it's its own entity, begging you both for more. Begging you both to fully commit to each other in body and soul so it could snap into place between you.
There was no want in this moment, there was only need. The very blood in his veins belonged to you.
It took everything in him to pull apart from you, the satisfaction that bloomed in his chest was indescribable as he watched you lean toward him, chasing after him. The need in you is just as great as it was in himself.
He grabbed your hand, a giggle leaving your lips as you were pulled towards the door, throwing a wave goodbye to your friends, old and new, no one missed how Azriel didn’t even bother glancing back towards them. Bags be damned. You were leaving for the cabin that second.
“Azriel.” It was only the tone of the High Lord that could have stopped him in that moment, and even then it was barely. Azriel turned, bound only by his loyalty to his friend, the urgency in his eyes was not missed. “Any and all furniture will be for your own account this time.”
The grin overtook Azriel's entire face, crinkling his eyes, his shadows playing with your own, wanting to consume every part of you whole, he couldn’t even pretend he wasn’t about to ruin that cabin as thoroughly as he was going to ruin you, “I advise you don’t pay me my salary for this month.”
The bark of Rhysand and Cassian's laughter accompanied by the flap of Azriel's wings filled the room, only making room for the tangible happiness that was felt rushing through the house of wind, a happiness that could only ever follow relief from a male who had never entirely lost his hope.
“You found a shadowsinger.” Rhys felt the bond receive kiss after kiss, a thank you from his own mate at the ease he had provided his brother.
“Finally.” At the ease he felt himself, finally seeing Azriel succumb to the happiness he finally deserved.
Before they could begin to discuss just how he had managed to find one, their conversation was interrupted by Nesta, “can Cass and I have a turn in the cabin for a week? Since you know, everyone else has gotten one?” The question was laced with innocence when every single person in that room knew it was anything but. None more so than Cassian.
It had taken Cassian less than a second to remove himself from his seat and throw Nesta over his shoulder, a loud squeal erupting in the dining room as he made his way to the doors towards their private quarters, hands already creeping their way under her dress. “Rhysand, for the sake of your mate, get the hell out of my home before she hears just how good I make her sister feel.”
Feyre was out of her chair and heading towards the balcony before they had even made it through the doorway, “Rhys, get me out of here now.” The demand was filled with giggles, and Rhysand gave himself a second longer in that dining room by himself. The dining room he was convinced would never see this kind of joy when he was under the mountain.
Now, he looked at it differently. Now he knew each home they each occupied needed extra rooms, more space, more chairs and food as they have the privilege of holding more and more joy, more love, and soon, children from each of them.
“They can only have children that will grow up with Nyx if we give them the space to do it. Let's go!” Feyre was growing frantic, Cassian had long legs and their bedroom was not far.
He dipped through the large doors and picked Feyre up, wings spreading wide as he fell into the night sky, laughing at how she begged him to get her as far from the house as possible, to get her home. Rushing to get home as quickly as possible for his own deviant reasons himself. Knowing he was going to answer a lot of questions beforehand and not wanting to waste a second
Rhysand and Feyre finally walked through their home, hand in hand, promises attached to each kiss they gave each other, promises of what was to come as soon as they had checked in on Nyx. They moved through the foyer and there on the entrance table lay a note. No doubt winnowed in by Azriel before he had been completely lost to the bond and you.
“Thank you for the time off with my mate brother, but make it a week and a half.”

“You have a letter.” Rhys casually mentioned, dropping a deep green envelope between Nesta and Feyre. The Autumn court.
It had been days since they had written to Eris in the hopes of arranging a meeting, and truthfully, their hope was dwindling that he would be willing to meet with them at all. Feyre had opted to leave out the reasoning for the request, but Rhysand had assured them both that he without a doubt already knew exactly why the High Lady of the Night court was contacting him around this time of the year. Rhysand knew because he had done this dance for years. It had started out as every year, he would try a new negotiation, and the answer was always the same. An unwavering no. So he tried every 10 years instead, and without fail, it was always still a no.
Cassian and himself had tried to prepare the females for the inevitable outcome, but they would not hear it. Holding onto whatever hope they could. They’d come up with game plan after game plan, exhausting every option, trying to find the perfect way to convince Eris to let you come home to your mate. And now this was it, after hours of thinking through every possibility, your answer sat in front of you, neatly kept secret in a little green envelope, addressed to the High Lady of the Night court.
“Open it.” Nesta was done with waiting and if it was going to be a no, well, she didn’t see the point in waiting for it, nothing was going to change that outcome, it only changed their own plans, which were adjustable. Cassian had only laughed when she had explained that adjustable plans simply meant walking into the Autumn court and dragging you out regardless of what Eris said.
“You open it.” Feyre had yet to take her eyes off the envelope, nerves suddenly swimming through her veins. Even as she felt Rhysand down the bond, his attempt at calming her and giving her whatever strength she may need.
“I’ll open it.” Cassian's hand had dipped between them and plucked the envelope off the table between the two females. His voice carried an air of casualness, as if this was all still fun and games for him. He wouldn’t admit that he had just learnt how to block the hope out. After nearly 200 years of the same thing, you get used to the disappointment. He had become so used to it, that he even stopped asking Rhysand what Eris had answered. He already knew.
Feyre and Nesta were deadly still as they watched Cassain rip the envelope open, only the ruffling of the papers made a sound.
After a moment that had left everyone wondering if Cassian needed reading lessons as well, a confused looked etched itself on his face, his brow becoming more and more creased the more times he read over the admittedly short letter.
“Spring court.” He specifically directed the statement to Rhysand. Breaking eye contact only to turn the letter over in his hand, scanning the back for anything more. Any sign that this was a joke.
“What do you mean Spring court?” Rhysand quickly made his way over to Cassian, the letter being shared between them as they both read over the reply and there, clear as day, was Eris’ answer to their request “Yes, we meet tomorrow at the Spring Court. Bring your High Lord for the negotiations.”. After reading over the response himself a few times, he was now looking at his mate, “How did you get him to meet with us?”
Feyre couldn’t quite place what emotion she could detect in his voice, but absolute awe might have been as close as she could get. Maybe some shock in there as well, because that was what she was feeling in heapfuls.
“He agreed?” Nesta had reached her hand up and grabbed the letter, it was now her and Freyre's turn to analyse the letter.
“You think he said yes because they asked?” Cassian nudged his head in the direction of the females scanning the letter, and suddenly Rhysand felt uneasy, and if the look on Cassian's face was anything to go by, he felt the exact same.
“Should just you and I go to meet with him? Just in case?” Rhysand had barely finished his sentence before Cass was nodding his head.
“Just in case. This is the Autumn court we’re talking about. There’s no way he just changed his mind.” Because why would he? This was Eris they were talking about.
“You are NOT leaving us behind. We arranged this meeting, we will be holding negotiations with Eris.” Both males flinched as Feyre's voice filtered through their minds, only Rhysand daring a look at her, throwing a cheeky grin in her direction, an attempt to ease the scowl currently being directed at him.
“You are the boss.” Rhysand leaned down to place a kiss atop her head, quelling whatever storm may exist if he had chosen to put up a fight. He knew he would lose.
“When do we leave?” Nesta had finally drawn her eyes away from the letter, looking towards her mate for guidance, still getting the hang of the politics between the courts.
“At 11. Rhysand will winnow us in.” Feyre gave no room for objection, a firm hand to inform everyone exactly who was in charge of the situation. Cassian and Rhysand only spared each other a concerned glance. Both mentally preparing for whatever game Eris had up his sleeve this time.
__________
“Ah, so you brought the High Lord of the Night court along with you as requested I see.” Eris sauntered through the trees, joining the four who had winnowed in only minutes ago.
“And why were you insistent that I come?” There was not a single bone in Rhysand's body that trusted Eris and now more so than ever. This had been a centuries long mission for the Night court, and a centuries long game for Eris. There was nothing to trust when it came to this situation.
“We’ve been negotiating this little prize for so long already, how could you not join?” The grin was devilish. “Interesting though that this time it was your mate who sent the request.” The tilt of his head reminded Feyre of being hunted. She wondered if she had ever shown the same look in all her years hunting for her family, or while trying to survive in the Fae world. She would deal with the guilt of that later.
Feyre only nodded, acknowledging her role now in this, sparing only a glance towards her sister who joined her, shoulder to shoulder, to show a united front, while their mates fell back, happy to let them take the lead, ready to defend if anything went wrong.
“So ask.” Eris casually leant against a tree, not sharing the seriousness of the situation as the other four had.
“Ask what?” Nesta did not enjoy political games, she did not enjoy games played with people at all. She wanted to get right to the point and she wasn’t going to allow the Autumn court to play around with something so precious.
“As per your letter, you want to enter into a negotiation with me, which means you want something that I am currently in possession of. Which means you need to ask me for it.” Nesta dropped her hand back in search of Cassian, feeling the rage seeping off of his very skin as how smug Eris was. If anyone deserved to kill him, it was Azriel, but it was taking every ounce of self control of the warrior to stop himself right here, right now, from ending it all now.
“I want your shadowsinger.” Feyre’s voice was clear, direct, there was no room for error, and Rhysand couldn’t help as he began to reach for her, a comfort as the inevitable was about to come.
“What do I get in return?” Both Nesta and Feyre stopped, feeling as if a wall had been built behind them. Turning their heads to search for their mates in their peripheral, it’s as if there was a new confidence in them, their chins were up, heads no longer bowed in defeat. Both pairs of eyes locked onto Eris. He had never allowed negotiations to get this far. Never asked for anything in return. Only ever told them no.
“What do you want?” Rhysand made his way next to Feyre, now taking full control of this meeting. Not to overshadow his High Lady, instead wanting to take the brunt of any deal that they would need to make in order to get what Azriel deserved.
Eris did not take his eyes off of Rhysand as he mulled over his options. Nesta had now taken hold of Cassains hand entirely the moment she had heard his wings start to ruffle, knowing that clear sign of annoyance too well from him.
“She will need to be replaced, and they need to be just as good.” A shadowsinger for a shadowsinger. Fair was fair. They all knew what they were asking of Eris. Having one as part of your court was an invaluable asset. They would know. “So find me someone new.”
Rhysand didn’t even have to think about it before he shot his hand out towards Eris. There was no way they were ever going to get a deal this good with Eris again and he wanted that bargain made before there was a moment for him to change his mind.
The second Eris fingers wrapped around his own, he felt the thin line etch itself on the bottom of his foot. An identical one no doubt formed on Eris’s if the grimace was anything to go by. “We have a deal.”
“The second you provide me with a new court member, she is yours to do with as you please.” Despite how much Eris tried to make the statement menacing, Rhysand could not help but smile at the tone lying at the very bottom of all the cruelty. He meant it, there was a kindness to this all, in Eris’s own way, he was doing the best he could in whatever situation he had found himself in. Rhysand stepped back, a slight bow of his head, not to another authority, but instead a thank you, a moment of respect between the two high lords.
Eris simply nodded, not wanting to be caught meeting with the majority of the Night court in the Spring courts territory, but as he turned to make his way home, Feyre could not help herself but ask, “Why now? Why make the negotiation with us instead of them?” She indicated to Nesta and then to their mates. Hoping she could understand some of the insanity that lay in his head.
“It was never about negotiating with any of you. It was about who the original bargain lay with.” Eris felt no need to hide the secret anymore and so decided to share one of the many secrets he had been forced to endure for all these years, “Her parents came to our court and we would have paid whatever they asked for the shadowsinger, but in all of the discussions, they had made a statement about how they saw their daughter serving the Autumn court for the rest of their lives and magic has a funny way of striking a bargain sometimes.”
“So why now?” Cassain needed to know why they had been rejected again and again, why his brother was made to suffer all these years knowing his mate was right there and never being able to even see her when the bargain lay with her parents all along.
“Her parents became collateral damage in the battle against Hybern.” His grin was sinister, but somehow each and everyone that stood before him understood exactly what a kindness it had truly been from Eris. Nothing more needed to be said and they each watched as Eris turned his back and sauntered back through the trees, before ultimately disappearing from view altogether.
“How the hell are you going to find a shadowsinger?" Cassian was the first to ask, fully aware of how difficult this task truly was.
“How are we going to find a shadowsinger.” Rhysand corrected him with an easy, before turning to the two females, the smile dropping as he addressed them. “We keep this from Azriel.”
Nesta immediately made to argue, but was stopped by Cassian before she could even get a word out. “Azriel does not find out.” The look Cass had conveyed to her was a command and every single person who knew Cassian knew he would spend the rest of his immortal life on his knees for her if she asked it of him, so this unwavering command from him was nothing short of a plea from him to her.
“Az could help find one though?” It might have been a command to Nesta, but Feyre was not his mate.
“Shadowsingers are rare, and I am not sure if we will ever find one as good, or even find another one at all. I cannot get his hopes up.” Rhysand knew that look, knew his mate was poised to fight him on his request, “Please Feyre, you were not there the day his heart was broken. What you witnessed the other night was him on one of her better birthdays. Please, trust me. We cannot tell him.” Snippets of memories slowly drifted into her mind, to not overwhelm her. First, Feyre saw her, saw the hollow look that had penetrated her entire being as she made her way past Rhysand and Cassian, then, it was the fight to get him out of the Autumn court, the sheer power she felt Rhysand have to use to prevent Azriel from leaving that room, next was the pain that flowed through her as she saw as his brothers shut him behind the cabin door, unable to escape, unable to do anything other than feel his rage, she heard the cabin being ripped to shreds, heard the roar that ripped through Azriel and carved itself into the mountain side, a monument to his grief. The final memory was like a knife wound to her chest, she saw the trashed cabin, as she saw, there in the middle of all the wreckage was Azriel, sobbing into his hands, begging whatever greater being that lay out there and would listen to help him, Feyre felt the sorrow cascade down him in waves, felt his body shake as his cries moved through his very bones and blood, felt the grip on her own body where Azriel had gripped onto her mate like he was the only thing that could ever keep him tethered to this planet in his grief.
Rhysand tilted her chin up and kissed where her own tears had slid down her cheeks, “We will not tell him.” It was a whispered promise between the four of them. They would shoulder this burden between them only, and spare any pain from Azriel.
“Thank you.” the sincerity in Cassains voice was like nothing Feyre had heard before, but judging from the look on Nesta’s face, she had also realized just how deep this pain for their friend and brother had dug itself into their very souls if this was how Cassian had responded.
The enormity of their task had now settled between them, each aware of the bargain that had just been struck and at their near impossible mission that lay ahead, and yet, despite it all, the smallest giggle found its way out of Nesta, shocking them all back to the beauty of the situation that lay before them. Suddenly, a joy bubbled up between the four of them and each of them were laughing in their own right as a wonderful thought was shared between them, they were going to get Azriel his mate.

“Is Az alright?” Feyre asked as she sat next to her mate, his arm instantly wrapping around her exposed shoulders, dragging her in tight. Her slender hand drifted towards his chest, two fingers tucked under the black material of his button up where his bronze skin was exposed, as she moulded her own body against his. Both letting out a content sigh as “home” rumbled down the bond to each of them.
“It’s a tough time of year for him.” Cassian mistakenly let out, too engrossed in the glass of wine and staring at his own mate to even notice what had wormed its way out of his maroon stained mouth. Rhys hadn’t though. His body had become rigid as soon as the words had left Cassian's mouth, and, although the tension in his body was easily missed by everyone else, it hadn’t been missed by Feyre.
“Something to do with his family?” As Feyre asked towards the two males, Cassian suddenly had become acutely aware of the box he had just opened, a box with no way to shut it knowing the females him and Rhys were currently sitting with. And there he and Rhys sat, both with their mates, the two females who knew them probably better than they even knew themselves and now they had to somehow lie to them in order to save face? To preserve their brothers secret, or at the very least, ensure that Nesta and Feyre didn’t get involved in Azriel's life where he refused to give himself hope of a positive outcome.
Cassian’s wide eyes met Rhysands, who was already staring him down, eyebrows perched high on his brow, a mocking question filtering into his mind “Now, how do you suppose you’re going to get out of this one?”
Cassian couldn’t help himself as a grin crept over his face, “You mean, how do we get out of this one, High Lord?”
“There is no ‘we’ in this” Rhys immediately countered in a flat tone, leaving no room for discussion. Both Feyre and Nesta’s eyes shooting him as he heaved out a sigh at the error he had just made. He never entirely understood how Cass had always been so good at getting under his skin that he made slip ups like the one he had just made. God, he had to remember to keep it in his mind when Cass riled him up.
Rhys now knew that there was one of two ways to deal with this shitstorm in the making. One, he could either tell the truth or he could take the diplomatic approach. “It’s Azriel's story to tell, and he will share it if he is ever ready.” Cassian nodded along, always knowing Rhys would get them out of this.
“Bullshit. We’ll never find out then. I’m not even sure he knows how to talk at all. Now spill.” Nesta had apparently decided against the diplomatic approach on behalf of all of them anyway.
Cassian spared a glance toward his brother through the large floor to ceiling windows as he stood with his back to them, overlooking Velaris from his spot on the balcony. After a second or two he had mulled through his own set of options, knowing that there was still a game to play in this very room. A game involving a High Lord and a High Lady and all he needed to do was ensure the High Lady got her way. With one glance at Feyre, he knew exactly what his next move was. He couldn’t help but chuckle at his own genius as he turned his body entirely towards Feyre, his unwitting pawn. This was why Rhys had made him general of his armies, because he was an excellent strategist. “No, it’s not his family,” a sly grin was thrown in Rhys’s direction, “It’s his mates birthday.”
A grunt sounded throughout the room as Feyre pushed herself up against her mate's chest, her entire weight being pressed against him to haul herself up. The second the word ‘mate’ had left his mouth, both Nesta and Feyre had bolted upright, eyes near the size of saucers at the bomb that had just been dropped so casually in front of them.
“What exactly do you mean Azriel's mate's birthday?” The females eyes darted between the high lord and the war general and the questions came barralling out of their mouths so quickly the two Illyrians could barely pinpoint one to answer.
“Who is she?”
“Since when does he have a mate?”
“Where is she?”
“Is she dead?”
“Why doesn’t he visit her?”
“Why didn't he tell us?”
“Why doesn’t he talk about her?”
“Oh my god, did she reject the bond?”
“Don’t be silly, who would reject the bond against Azriel? Look at him!”
Neither of them missed the last comment though. A questioning glance thrown between the two of them, a particular type of jealousy shining through, which they both quickly tried to temper down. The bond truly did bring out sides of themselves they never thought they would witness.
As if Rhys had found his evening's entertainment, the second he found a gap, he added another tidbit of information, one that only further complicated the matter. “There are many reasons Az hates the Autumn court.” Him and Cassian only chuckled louder as he watched their eyes widen even more, a feat he wasn’t even sure was possible. He was knowingly digging the hole deeper for them both, but they were having far too much fun to care.
A second round of answers came flying at them, their laughter only growing louder as the confusion weaved itself deeper into their mates voices. Even Nesta’s face had become more animated than usual.
“Is she betrothed to one of the brothers?”
“Is she MARRIED to one of the brothers?”
“Did they murder her?”
Usually not ones for gossip, preferring to be as respectful as they could be towards their friends, they couldn’t help themselves though when it had come to this. Azriel had a mate.
“Caludren, did they kidnap her?” Both Nesta and Feyre knew that had to be right if the distinct shift in the air around them was anything to go by. Both Rhys and Cassian shot a nervous look towards the balcony, silently watching their brother as he took a long sip of the wine bottle he had claimed for himself, opting to forgo a glass completely.
“Not technically, but she was sold.” Cassian had begun to explain, voice solemn. He had met you, had known you. He was there the second Azriel had felt the bond between you. He watched the shift on his friend's face as the realization dawned on him and he had seen his friend happy before, he had seen Azriel happy many many times, but this moment was different. It was as though Azriel had finally looked at the world like he actually belonged in it for the first time in his existence.
“She’s a shadowsinger too.” What could only be described as alarm had broken out on the females faces. Each clutching their wine glasses that much tighter. Rhys couldn’t judge them, he had reacted the same. There were two of them, and nearly equal in skill on top of it.
“Sometimes the cauldron makes a bad match, and sometimes it makes one so good it’s almost comical.” And it would be funny if it hadn’t been some cruel joke on Azriel. Cassian felt Nesta’s hand crawl over the fist he had unknowingly curled his hand into at the rage he felt, knowing what his friend had been forced to endure. Although with some effort, he softened the rage inside him, enough to allow her room to slip her fingers through his own, grounding him back into the moment, stealing him from his grief and rage and memories that haunted him on behalf of his friend.
“Her parents knew she was a shadowsinger and her parents are cruel. They knew what she would be worth and so they paraded her to Autumn court when she was a child.” You could hear the air move throughout the house, the ruffle of their wings, the blood pumping in their veins as the implications had set in. “The Autumn court bought her. A gift for their own general. She specifically works for Eris.” Feyre could hardly believe it. She wasn’t dead, she was right there. They had seen Eris numerous times. It was her birthday, and he had no way of celebrating the female he loved, other than drowning himself in his High Lord's wine.
“She hasn’t exactly rejected the bond, but she won’t accept it either.” Cassian had filled in the missing piece after a moment of silence, allowing everyone to sit with the information. For those just learning it, and for those who needed to be reminded. “Eris won’t let her go, bond or no bond. She won’t accept him as her mate. Not when she knows how much it will just hurt them both.”
Rhys didn’t need to look into Cassian's mind to know he was replaying the same memory as he was. The struggle they both went through, hauling Azriel to the cabin. Trying to get him as far away as possible. You had just told him. You had explained it all and Azriel had fought you on every point, but he knew you were right. You had walked out of the room, only giving Rhys and Cass a sad smile before disappearing. The last time they had seen you. As you turned the corner, they looked through the doors and there Azriel was, head bowed, on his knees. They could see the shake in his shoulders and wings. Tears mixed with rage. A rage that was going to kill if they did not get him out of there immediately. And they were right to. They winnowed to just outside the cabin, wrestling with all their might to get him into the cabin, to lock the door. To allow him to do what he needed in order to get through the initial grief. Rhys had to replace nearly every piece of furniture in that cabin after Azriel had finally calmed down.
“Why won’t Eris let her go?” Nesta’s voice was sharp, they could nearly taste the venom dripping off every syllable. Every single day, she had a greater understanding as to why each of them hated the Autumn court the way they each did.
“Money was exchanged and a bargain was made. We don’t know all the details but apparently it is a difficult one to get out of.” Rhys watched the cogs in his mates head turning.
“Well?” Feyre eventually asked.
“Well what?” Rhys responded just as incredulously as she had.
“Well, what the hell are you going to do about it?” Nesta had supplied in lieu of her sister, her and Feyre moving eerily as one as both their brains had come to the same conclusion.
“You think we haven’t tried everything?” Rhys might be a little scared of Nesta, but Cassain loved a good little verbal sparring. He had almost been offended at the insinuation from his own mate. She knew he would do anything for Azriel.
“Clearly not everything.” Feyre scoffed, taking another sip of wine.
“That is where you would be wrong, darling. Literally, everything.” Rhys tried not to sound offended himself, he had failed miserably. “We’ve tried bargains, deals, payment, allyship, shit, we have even tried kidnapping her ourselves.” Rhys ran a hand through his hair at the memory of just how badly that evening had gone.
“So let me get this straight, the greatest shadowsinger, the most formidable war general and the strongest high lord in existence are unable to kidnap a female from the Autumn court?” Both the males' brows furrowed, none too pleased about the insult that had just been thrown in their direction, each had now sat up in their own right, ready to defend themselves to death if need be.
The words were about to tumble out of their respective mouths just as the large doors had opened and Azriel had stalked in, swayed in, how many bottles had Azriel had? All eyes watched as he made his way to the bar, swopping the now empty bottle with an uncorked one. Only lifting the bottle in the direction of his friends as a form of a goodnight before he made his way up the stairs. No one missed how his fingers gripped onto the wall to keep himself steady as he made his way closer to his bed where hopefully the memory of this day would be clouded in a haze of shadows and wine.
The collective held their breaths until they could no longer hear the uncoordinated shuffle up the stairs, looking for any sign that he had fallen and needed help. But the second they were sure he was out of ear shot, both females stood, making their way in complete silence towards the library.
“Going to read some love stories after that fairly abysmal one?” It was meant to be a joke, but even as Cassian said it, he knew it was in bad taste. The look his mate threw over her shoulder confirmed it.
But it was Feyre who answered them both, “No, we are going to write to Eris for a meeting. Expect one with him in the next few days.”
There was no room for argument. They had decided. Azriel's mate was coming home. There was no other option and if the males were unable to manage the situation, well, then the females were sure as hell going to.

_______
“What exactly do you mean by ‘she’s fair game’?” Lando had sprinted to meet up with Pierre, finding him standing next to Charles, and quite frankly not entirely caring that Charles was there at all. Instead, he immediately barrelled into an explanation. Not much unlike how he had handled the explanation to Carlos.
“I mean, there’s a plan, and you are now a key part of the plan, and the plan for now is, when she comes and flirts with you and asks if you sent the flowers, you say you did and you very publicly flirt back.” A smug grin crept across Pierre's face.
“You mean I finally get to have Max’s girl?” Lando felt a little sick at the implication and what it all meant but found himself nodding along anyway.
“Yes, you get to have a shot at having Max’s girl.” Lando couldn’t help but believe that this was only going to last a week, tops, and that wasn’t even factoring max into the equation.
Pierre shot his hand out, ready to shake Lando’s hand, “consider it done.” As Pierre's hand wrapped around Lando’s own, a nauseating feeling overcame him. Yes, you were someone he had always wanted a chance with, you were beautiful, funny, determined, strong-willed, witty, but you were also Max’s. He knew you would hate the fact that this is how they all saw you, but it wasn’t like you were Max’s like he owned you, instead, you were Max’s like Pierre's blood was his own, Max needed you to survive, Max needed you so he could be Max. So, despite the excitement Pierre felt, it was a thin layer over the anxiety and fear he felt simmering below the surface. There was no way Max was going to give you up without a fight, and Pierre knew he was going to lose to the most feared driver on the grid.
As Lando walked away, Charles was backing Pierre away from the media's prying eyes.
“Are you insane? You cannot go after Max’s girl! He’ll kill you.” Pierre's facial expression didn’t budge, because he already knew Max might do just that.
“Probably.” It was too non-chalant, too calm for Charles to feel at ease. No one felt this, lack of anything, when talking about you, especially not when discussing how they were going to take you away from Max.
“You can’t do it. You have to tell Lando no.” Charles couldn’t help but notice the small smile that was creeping up on Pierre’s face, “What are you scheming?”
Pierre let out a laugh that reverberated through his chest, he didn’t entirely understand everything, but he was slowly starting to piece together the plan that the guys had come up with. “Charles, she isn't fair game, we’re just pawns, all of us.”
The puzzled look on Charles' face only made Pierre laugh again.
“Max is in love with her, and let’s be honest, she’s in love with him too. We all know this. The only ones who aren’t openly admitting it are them, to each other. They both need a nudge. They both need to be pushed far enough that they finally admit it to each other.” Pierre said it as if it was the most simple plan in the entire world.
“And how exactly do you intend on getting her to admit that?” Charles knew Max wouldn’t, especially if there was an entire convoluted plan to get you both to admit it to each other, clearly Max was a lost cause.
“Make her realize that everyone else just kind of sucks compared to Max. Make it so bad for her that Max becomes the only viable option.” The plan was falling into place from Pierre’s side and Chales was starting to understand the repercussions of that.
“If you’re bad enough, she might complain to Max, and if she complains to Max, he’s going to do everything in his power to make it right.” Charles and Pierre were suddenly sporting identical grins, the same ones that they couldn’t help but exhibit when they were children and they knew they were doing something that their parents would disapprove of, but god were those times fun.
And this was going to be fun.
“Who knew you were such a romantic?” The boys began to make their way to each of their respective garages, needing to get ready for the race.
“What can I say, I’m French.” With a final nod, Pierre and Charles parted ways, ready for this new game they got to play.
—--
“Oi!” You turned at the familiar voice, watching Daniel and Carlos jog up to you. Despite the nerves from you after your and Max’s confrontation, you were excited to see them, even after your confession to Daniel.
Daniel engulfed you into a hug you didn’t realize you needed, a silent promise that he wasn’t going to abandon you, despite how rocky things were between you and Max, and that he wasn’t going to spill your secret, well, to Max at least.
“We think we know who sent the flowers.” Carlos lied as he pulled you into a hug of his own. He didn’t miss how your body tensed up at his words.
“Oh, you did?” The boys gave a knowing glance towards each other, both clocking the disappointment in your voice, “Who should I be flirting with next then?” You giggled, trying to ease the tension from your earlier dejection.
“We have pretty good intel that it was Pierre who sent them.” Daniel kept reminding himself that lying to you was going to help you and Max. Did he feel childish in all of this? Yes, of course. If he didn’t know you and Max as well as he did, he would have just come out with it and told you the truth, but the chances of you believing him were next to nil and Max was a coward who would never believe you loved him just as much as he loved you, unless you both heard it from the other, and even then, Daniel was sure there would be some doubts from the both of you. So yes, he felt childish, but he also knew this was for your own good. He had to believe this was for your own good.
Your eyes widened at hearing it was Pierre who sent the flowers, although, it oddly did not surprise you that he was the one to blame for all of this commotion.
Carlos clocked your surprise at the admission. “Are you not happy?” Their plan kind of fell to pieces a little bit if you weren’t.
And truthful, you weren’t happy at all, because despite it all, you had hoped it was going to be Max who sent the flowers. Even as you tried to push it down, there was always that little bit of hope.
“How could I not be happy? A hot frenchman wants to send me flowers? I could probably get used to that.” You could get used to it right? He wasn’t Max, but he was good looking. You two got along whenever you had to interact, and clearly he was interested in you, and if he was the only man who was interested in you, you could get used to that.
Daniel felt a sadness wash over him, you’d meant that. You genuinely thought you just had to settle for the things that you didn’t want. You might not have to say it, but he knew.
He just had to remind himself, he was doing this for the greater good.
“Yeah, you should probably go and find him before the race you know, I’m sure he would love the extra luck from you.” Daniel was calculating where Max should be right about now, hoping he wouldn’t see you and Pierre talking. The story about how Max had responded to Charles simply being nice to you had struck a very particular fear within Daniel and he was nervous about putting Pierre in harms way, then again, if Pierre had agreed, he knew who Max was, he knew the risk he was taking. Max wouldn’t though, he knew better.
“Okay, yeah, I should go, he should be at his garage, yes, okay, I should go.” There was a frantic energy about you, a nervousness that neither Carlos nor Daniel had expected. You turned to head towards the garage, but suddenly turned back, a shift in energy, from nervous to shy, “Do I look okay?” Your eyes cast downwards at the question, almost too aware that this lack of confidence was abnormal for you.
Daniel recalled a memory from ages ago, as always, you all were away for a race weekend, Daniel sat in Max’s room, not entirely sure what exactly they were all doing, but suddenly there was a knock at the door and Max swung it open to reveal you. There you stood in all your glory, hear up, skin looking tired from all the travel and the lack of sleep there was no way to avoid, pimple patches on, what he can only assume were the oldest pair of sweat pants you owned and there was definitely something staining your shirt, but it didn’t matter, certainly not to you and without a doubt not to Max. You walked in with a smile, making up an excuse not to stay because of all the work you still had to get done. Max tried to pull rank as your boss, but you had shut him down as your friend, and soon found yourself leaving the room. What Daniel had remembered though wasn’t the interaction, all of that was nonsense, it was Max’s response afterwards that he remembered. You had walked in there completely confident, it’s like you knew Max would never care, despite him now knowing how you felt about him, and Max. God does Daniel remembering teasing Max over how he had stared at that door after you left, like you had left pixie dust all over and it was still lingering in the air. You were always confident around Max. You were always yourself around Max. And Max, god, Max loved you for exactly who you are. Always, no exceptions, every version of yourself and he had proved it again and again.
You were always safe to be confident around Max, yet here you were, shy, about how you looked for someone you didn’t even like.
Maybe that was always what it was about, the people we love make us feel confident because, well, they treat us like we’re magic because we are brave enough to be ourselves around them.
Maybe this is why, even after Max had treated you like shit, you still cared, you still loved him, because Max was brave enough to be vulnerable to be himself at that exact moment, even if it was a horrific version of himself. It was still a part of Max, a scared part of Max, but we still love the complicated versions of each other, because we love the human. And you loved Max.
And you were scared if you looked good enough for Pierre.
It was for the greater good.
“Of course you look good. It’s you. And the man that sent you flowers will always think you’re beautiful.” There was no lie in Daniels words, and Carlos could add nothing but the nod of his head, urging you towards the Alpine garage to wish Pierre good luck for a race he was most certainly going to need it in.
And so you went, despite the nerves and shyness, despite it all, you walked with your head held high, towards the man that had sent you those flowers and he could do nothing as you walked past him as he stood off to the side, knowing exactly where you were headed. Max caught Daniels' eye as you turned into the garages and all his friend could do was shrug. If he was going to be a coward, what was anyone else meant to do about it?
As you rounded the corner, you bumped into something hard and before you even had a moment to re-orientate yourself, there was a hand guiding the loose strand of hair behind your ear. You glanced up and there were the unmistakable blue eyes of Pierre Gasly.
“Hello gorgeous.” You wish the sharp intake of air was from excitement, from the butterflies that you had expected to feel in your stomach at finally finding the man who had sent you those flowers, but instead, all you could think was ‘I’ve got to get used to this.’

Reminders for fanfic writers who think it “doesn’t count”
✦ Your writing counts. like, a lot. If someone felt something because of what you wrote, then it matters. That scene you almost didn’t post? Yeah. Believe me, someone out there bookmarked it for a reason.
✦ Writing existing characters doesn’t make it “less than.” You’re building arcs, crafting dialogue, emotion, pacing. You’re studying character psychology like a scientist. That’s not “just fanfic,” that’s storytelling.
✦ “but it’s just fanfic” ...no. STOP, it’s craft.
It’s understanding tone. It’s hitting emotional beats. It’s layering theme and backstory and prose into something people feel. You’re doing the work, you just don’t get graded on it. (Which, honestly is a blessing.)
✦ Writing fanfic means you love stories enough to live inside them.
You care, deeply. You care enough to reimagine, to explore, to add something of yourself to a world you didn’t create and somehow still make it feel brand new.
✦ Someone out there rereads your fic like it’s their favorite book.
Maybe they’ve saved a line to their notes app,or they quote it to a friend. Maybe they just think about it when they’re having a bad day. That little fic you almost deleted, it’s comfort now.
✦ Your comments section is real. Every “I needed this” and “this made me cry in a good way” is proof, you don’t need a book deal to matter. You don’t need a publisher to have an impact, because you already do.
FANFIC IS WRITING! Fanfic is yours.
You’re not “just” anything. You’re a writer, own it. Be proud of that.

“So, who do we think should be the one to make her believe they sent the flowers?” Lando casually leaned against the wall next to Daniel, Carlos standing in front of the two of them, all three pretending that this wasn’t the most important conversation they could be having right now.
“Charles?” Both Lando and Carlos swung their heads towards Daniel after that nonchalant suggestion. A silence grew as Landos grin grew alongside it and before long both him and Carlos were in a fit of giggles as Daniel could do nothing but stand there, looking more and more annoyed at the increasing laughter.
The suggestion was a good one in his opinion, so he didn’t entirely understand the ridicule.
“You want to use Charles to make Max jealous?” The question flittered out between the laughs, only causing Daniel more frustration at his lack of understanding.
“Max will kill him.” Carlos has finally
“Max is not going to kill Charles.” The laughter only increased.
“It will be in a race. The one mistake Max ever made, and it will look convincing, but Max will kill Charles if he even looks in her direction.” Lando eventually explained once the laughter had died down.
Daniel felt concerned at the absolute conviction that Lando had explained this, like it wasn’t the first time he had ever heard it before.
“Charles once flirted with her in Monaco.” Carlos had filled in the gap for Daniel,
“Could it even be classified as flirting? It was more like, he was simply nice to her” Lando interjected.
“Exactly, all he did was be nice to her really, next race, both Max and Charles went out from that massive crash. Nearly sent them both to the hospital. “ Daniel looked on stunned, there was no way that accident was on purpose, was it?
“Can’t use Charles mate, trust me. Pick someone else.” Lando refused to put Charles in any kind of danger and you and Max getting together was not worth that level of drama. If you went up to him and flirted, then that was on you, but they were not about to try and convince Charles to get you to believe anything.
“What about Pierre?” Daniel had been wracking his brain about just who could pull this off and Pierre was seeming like a really good option.
Lando and Carlos mulled the option over, and the more they thought about it, the more realistic it sounded in their head. He was good looking, french, but not someone Max would feel particularly intimidated by. Actually, Pierre seemed like an excellent option.
“Pierre it is. Who's gonna speak to him?”
The question was ignored as the next one filtered through from the very unwanted participant.
“Are you debating who is going to call me a dick?” Max shuffled into the circle, his way of an apology to all involved.
“I’m thinking of words a hell of a lot stronger than that.” Lando was still livid at his friend's behaviour towards you, from the very start of this all. He had done nothing but mess you around and play with your feelings and slowly but surely he was becoming more and more of a villain in Landos eyes.
In all their eyes.
“I deserve that.” Max shifted from one foot to the other, hoping one of them would hurl out any form of abuse, anything other than the awkward tension that hung in between the four men.
“So who's the next guy on her list?” Max had completely forgotten about the list. Were you even going to carry on with it? There was no way you could move forward with this? Maybe the only positive of him being an absolute dick to you about everything was the fact that maybe, just maybe, you’d drop the list.
“I am pretty sure it is about to be Pierre.” Max had completely missed the look all three men had given each other. A silent conversation between just them. Lando had questioned Daniel about how he had known that the next one would be Pierre, the man they had just decided on your behalf and Daniel had indicated back that he had it under control.
He hoped he had, but surely you’d take his advice.
God he hoped you hadn’t given up just yet.
“Pierre? You’re sure about that?” He was currently the best driver in the world, he had the best car, the best team, he best fans, the best of absolutely everything, and the mention of you actively pursuing Pierre of all goddamn people, the one man who he knows would not hold back, it made him finally feel like he had nothing. Everything he had worked this hard for was now worth none of it because he had officially lost you.
“Dead sure, should probably go and find him to warn him.” Daniel couldn’t help but notice how adrift Max suddenly seemed. He watched as the blood drained from his face. He almost thought he saw Max give up, but there is no way he would. Max didn’t even know how to give up. Let alone give up where it came to you.
“She’s smart, she would never go for him.” It was the last thing Max offered up before he walked away, shoulders slumped, head down, dejected. He had hoped he would have been reprimanded, told how shit he is, hoped they’d help him fix this. Instead, he was forced to realize that he lost absolutely everything that could ever mean anything to him. In the space of 10 minutes he had completely lost you.
To goddamn Pierre. How was he competing with the frenchman? To the Frenchman that hated him no less.
Daniel, Lando and Carlos only watched him walk away for a moment longer and then we’re instantly huddled together again.
“Lando, you run and explain to Pierre, you explain absolutely everything from start to finish. Tell him to expect her later today and we will see him this evening. Me and Carlos are going to see y/n. Got it?” The orders were barked out at lightning speed before Daniel was dragging Carlos away in an attempt to find you.
“WAIT!” Lando looked bewildered at all of the information that had been passed on to him, “What exactly am I telling Pierre, like before we see him this evening and explain it all to him?”
A smug look creeped across Daniels face as he thought about the chaos that was about to ensue.
“Tell him that she’s fair game.”
