lovvesimon·:
For a good while, Simon was quiet. He wasn’t ignoring Harry, he was just trying to reply in the best and most honest way. “He is…” lifting his head to look toward the ocean, Simon fiddled with his fingers. “Just me and my brother are very different people. He’s definitely the stronger out of the two of us…maybe even fearless.” Simon shrugged, dropping his head.
“Maybe because I’m more like my mom and Rich is more like my dad…he was born first.” The young man brought his legs under him, sitting Indian style beside Harry now. “There’s also something I kinda haven’t told anyone….ever.”
Harry listened. He had also met his other brother, Richard if he remembered correctly. Yes, he could tell that the other was different than Simon. He seemed like he knew what he wanted in life. Something Harry couldn’t say for himself. “I wouldn’t say he’s stronger. He just stands on both feet int he world. He knows what he wants. Something I never really figured out.” he admitted. Sometimes, he wished he would’ve been as brave as Donna back then. Starting a new life in a place that makes you happy.Â
“I don’t know your mother. I just heard a few things.” he said. That she and Sam got divorced a few years ago, that she was the reason why he had left Donna back then. But that was none of his business. “And what is that?” he asked. Harry didn’t want to come off as too curious. But he figured out, maybe since he had mentioned it that he wanted to talk about it. And he was the one to stay silent if he needs to be.Â
With a roll of his eyes, Simon just let out a huffed breath. That was Richard, the favorite, the one who was following in dad’s footsteps. Unlike himself, Simon was the one who wanted to be on his own path, not be tied down to an office and stay still for 40 some odd years. He didn’t know how Rich was even gonna do it, but he was the so that could do no wrong. “Guess you’re right.” Even though he knew Harry was right.
And then the young boy shrugged before he leaned back into a lying down position, really staring up at the stars and the night sky now. The roof wasn’t as uncomfortable as he thought, but the beauty of the stars made up for it.
“I’m gay,” he blurted out. And then his cheeks blushed brightly because Harry was the first adult adult that he decided to say that too. Sam didn’t know. Richard didn’t know. But Simon confided in his friends and they all knew.
Richard had stepped off the ferry and into the island his father disappeared a few months ago. What he wanted here? Well, he said something about a reopening of a hotel. That was to come. And now, it was still int he making. And since Richard was going to follow his father’s footsteps, he was on his way to be a great architect, just like his father. And even if it took him a bit longer than his younger brother, Richard finally made it here. And the sun was already burning his skin. When he looked around the island, he finally spotted a familiar face that was going to pick him up.Â
“Hell, what is this place, it’s beautiful.” he said with a little smile as he walked towards his brother. “Good to see you, mate.”
@lovvesimon
The day was hot, as it usually was out here, and even though Simon’s only been here for a few days already, he never wanted to leave. Maybe that’s how his dad’s wife felt. Donna. For the short time that Simon’s known her, she was a fantastic woman. She did so much for this island, for the people here — they all loved her, and Si understood why his dad loved her, too.
Simon was outside helping Sophie with putting up a banner. They’d finished just in time too, because Simon had taken one of the small cars to go and pick his brother up.
“Hey!” He called to him as he gave him a slight wave before he hopped out of the car and went to greet his brother. It had been a while since the two had last seen each other, since Simon was as living on his own in New York City these days. “This place is amazing. And the people here are just the same.”
lovvesimon·:
Simon looked down, taking his hands into his own lap and let his eyes fall onto the horizon. That was until Harry mentioned his dad and the young man looked down into his hands that were in his lap. “I just…” he let his shoulders slouch a bit as he tried to think of something. And then he lifted his head to look at the man beside him. “Didn’t think it mattered.” Simon’s blue eyes flickered away from Harry to look back out to the ocean. “He’s a good dad, but….we have our differences.”
Harry listened to his voice. And he felt like the young man understood him wrong. “I didn’t mean to say that it made a difference.” when it actually did. Ever since the two had been there for the reopening of the hotel, Harry couldn’t help but to feel attracted to the boy. And since he found out it was Sam’s son, he felt like keeping some distance between them.
“Why is that? I thought Sam was close to his children. You have a brother, right?” he asked him.
For a good while, Simon was quiet. He wasn’t ignoring Harry, he was just trying to reply in the best and most honest way. “He is...” lifting his head to look toward the ocean, Simon fiddled with his fingers. “Just me and my brother are very different people. “Maybe because I’m more like my mom and Rich is more like my dad...he was born first. Richard’s the one that’s following in my dad’s footsteps, not me...” The young man brought his legs under him, sitting Indian style beside Harry now. “There’s also something I kinda haven’t told anyone....ever.”
continued - @lovvesimon
Harry smiled. Those night were doing something to him, he felt relaxed and just like himself. He could once more understand wyh Donna decided to stay here. But bringing his eyes down to the other, he gave him a little smile. “You could’ve told me that Sam’s your father.” he said with a little grin. “Did you think I wouldn’t find out?” he asked him. That was indeed an information that made everything a little harder.
Simon looked down, taking his hands into his own lap and let his eyes fall onto the horizon. That was until Harry mentioned his dad and the young man looked down into his hands that were in his lap. “I just...” he let his shoulders slouch a bit as he tried to think of something. And then he lifted his head to look at the man beside him. “Didn’t think it mattered.” Simon’s blue eyes flickered away from Harry to look back out to the ocean. “He’s a good dad, but....we have our differences.”
“you okay?” (From Simon to Harry)
send “you okay?” to find my muse sitting alone on a roof at night.
Harry moved his head when he spotted the young man coming closer. “Yeah, just taking in the few of the night.” he smiled. “Greece still does offer the best nights of all. Just look at this sky, the stars. It’s breathtaking.” he said, looking up at the sky again.Â
@lovvesimon
Simon had a seat beside Harry, leaving some space between the two. “Yeah,” he agreed. There was no other word for the night sky that hung above them. Just like Harry, the sky was gorgeous.
lovvesimon·:
Simon swallowed hard. “No,” he said with a shake of his head that was clearly a lie. How could he tell this man who he’d just met one of his most silliest fears? Because it was just that, wasn’t it? Opening his eyes, Simon looked at Harry and took in a steady, trying breath. Just for peeling them away for a moment, he noticed there was a door in the back.
“Maybe there is an office?” And without wasting time, he grabbed Harry’s hand and led him to the door to open it. When he walked in, Simon knocked his knee into a bucket, falling back against the door and closing it. Apparently this wasn’t an office. But it had no windows. And he and Harry were practically standing so close their noses were touching.
The young man chuckled and his face turned bright red as he scratched the back of his neck. “Sorry, thought this was an office.”
Harry could tell the other was afraid. And so he just followed the other without asking him about his fear again. “There are a lot of things that scare me.” he said, trying to make the other feel a little bit better. “I mean, I am very much afraid of heights, or open waters. Do you know how hard it is to get on an island when you’re afraid of taking a ferry over the open water?” he chuckled as he suddenly got grabbed by his hand and pulled into the room. It wasn’t an office. It was more like a chamber. But it had no windows.Â
“Jesus, this is even smaller than the chamber Harry Potter lived in.” he said as he tried to search for his phone to light up the room a bit. When his phone finlly spend them some light, Harry just realized how close they actually were. “It’s okay. No one knew this room would be that small.” he said. “At least, no windows. That’s an improvement.” he grinned, looking down at the other.Â
While Harry spoke about his own fears, it made Simon feel all the more relaxed in his own skin.  It even caused Simon to give Harry a little bit of a smile. “You’re afraid of things?” Simon couldn’t believe that. A man as good looking and pos as Harry? But then again... No one’s ever tried to calm him down before.  “So, you’re afraid of water?”  He asked, but it wasn’t to poke fun at him, he nodded a little.  “My grandmother almost drowned when she was a kid.  She doesn’t like open water either.” He tried for some conversation.  Though, Simon was very grateful that he wasn’t having a full blown panic attack right now.
Blue eyes flickered up to meet Harry’s seemingly darker ones, and just the light of the older man’s phone,Simon just realized how close the two were.  The younger freaked and lost his balance, falling back against what felt like to him a pile of wooden crates.  “Yeah,” Simon muttered as he tried to get out of the crates that he was now stuck in.  “No windows.”  But Harry was right, it was an improvement for sure.
lovvesimon·:
Being with Harry, just in that short amount of time, the younger man was starting to realize something – that he enjoyed looking at the Englishman… especially the way he held himself. And then there was the way that Harry laughed. Simon swallowed as he reached up and tugged at his collar. Was this how Juliet felt when she first saw Romeo? Was Harry his Romeo?
“Uh, he’s kinda back and forth a lot...” Simon said with a shrug as he turned his gaze elsewhere – anywhere that wasn’t Harry. “But he lives here mostly.” Simon nodded, reaching up to run his fingers through his hair.Â
Rain poured down hard against the walls of the church and just as Simon opened his mouth to answer Harry’s next question, the brown-haired younger man glanced to the stained-glass window and his blue hues caught a glimpse of the lightning striking down – which to Simon seemed very close to them. He gasped, “Jesus!” hissed through his teeth before he was standing with his back to the wall, and his eyes shut tightly, the look of fear plastered on his face.
Harry waited for his answer and as soon as he recieved one he could only nod. “Yeah, who can blame him for living here. It’s a wonderful place.” he smiled, his gaze still laying on the other whil ehe was talking. But before he could continue, a lightning striked and even Harry needed to jump slightly. He first didn’t notice the other was scared. So he just continued. “Well, except it’s being stormy outside.” a light chuckle followed his words before he looked at the other and saw how scared he was.Â
“Oh god, you’re afraid of thunderstorms?” he asked. It was stupid to asked a question like this because the answer was obvious. “Maybe we should try ot find a room without windows?” he suggested to the other. He was sure there must be a room where the storm was not visible. And otherwise, he would to distract the other.Â

For a moment, it took a bit to sink in, and then he took the picture from her. “Oh, Donna!” He leaned over and gave her a hug. “I’m sorry. My brain wasn’t registering at all! Like I said, it’s been a long day.” He chuckled a little before he pulled back and handed her the picture.
Donna was taken by surprise by the hug. She hugged him back before looking at him as he pulled back and handed the photo back to her. She placed it back down on the desk and then back at Simon. “It’s okay. I didn’t even realize either. I have no idea I didn’t realize. I mean…you look like him.”
“A lot of people say that.” Simon gave her a smile as he leaned on the counter, readjusting his bag again. “I guess that’s a compliment?” Simon chuckled but didn’t see it though, no kid wanted to look like their parents when they were younger. “Thanks. I’m glad you’ve been keeping Dad busy. It’s nice that he has a place as cool as this to actually call home.”
lovvesimon:
Harry was right. It looked and felt as though no one had used this church in a really long time. Cobwebs were even growing on a few of the pews. It was a little church — maybe big enough to seat fifty at the most. Slowly, Simon decided to walk around. “It’s gorgeous,” he said in a hushed tone, but even he heard the thunder roaring outside. Stopping when he stood next to Harry, Simon placed his hands on his hips and looked at the older man in his brown eyes. “I actually came to meet my dad here. Supposed to be having dinner with him in...” Simon looked down to his watch. “Now.” And then he sighed.
Harry decided to walk a bit further into the church, Not that it was very big. No, small and a home feeling was there even if it looked so shabby. But Harry couldn’t help but to look at the other again. “It does looks very dusty, that’s all I can tell right now.” he chuckled. But then, the hotel Donna build looked shabby as well when they arrived. And see what she had done out of it. “You dad?” he questioned. “Does he live here on the island?” he asked further. And then he asked the more important question. “Who’s your father?” he asked him.Â
Being with Harry, just in that short amount of time, the younger man was starting to realize something -- that he enjoyed looking at the Englishman... especially the way he held himself. And then there was the way that Harry laughed. Simon swallowed as he reached up and tugged at his collar. Was this how Juliet felt when she first saw Romeo? Was Harry his Romeo?

“Uh yeah,” he said with a nod, his blue eyes gazing around once more before they landed on the blonde woman. “Yeah, Sam’s my dad.” He smiled a little when she introduced herself. “Do you know him?” Clearly she did if she asked about Sam being his dad. And then Simon shook his head. “Sorry, I’m a little out of it. It’s been a long day.” But he still smiled. “It’s nice to meet you, Donna. And the hotel really is amazing.”
Donna realized that he didn’t know. “I should hope so.” She said. She reached for a photo she had on the desk. It was a photo of herself and Sam looking very happy on their wedding day. She showed it to Simon. “I’m his wife.” Donna told him. She hoped he was okay about this.
For a moment, it took a bit to sink in, and then he took the picture from her. “Oh, Donna!” He leaned over and gave her a hug. “I’m sorry. My brain wasn’t registering at all! Like I said, it’s been a long day.” He chuckled a little before he pulled back and handed her the picture.
lovvesimon:
“One, two, three…” And as he held a breath for a moment, Simon pushed with Harry behind him. Just on three, Simon did just that. He hadn’t expected their strength together to shove the door open and completely fall into one another.
Simon let out a gasped breath as Harry hit the ground with himself now on top of the older man. Simon lifted his head from the other’s chest and pushed himself to a now hovering position to stare down into Harry’s darker eyes. Simon could feel his heart racing in his chest as not only Harry spoke to him, but his laughter and that was when Simon knew something in his heart fluttered.
And it was because of Harry.
Feeling the blush creep up his cheeks, Simon pushed himself to his feet before he helped Harry stand as well. Long fingers slicked through his drenched hair before his hand fell to his side. “Are you okay? That was a pretty hard fall you took. I should’ve been on the bottom.” And then he snapped his mouth shut and realized the way that sounded - like a sex pun, and Simon felt the blush rage against his cheeks more.
Harry took his hand thankfully, getting up on his feet. “I’m good, don’t worry.” he assured the other, trying to get the dirt off his clothes. After all he was wearing his suit from his previous meeting. All he took off was the jacket. At his next words, he rose his brow and for some reason it caused him to smile. “Don’t worry, I can handle a fall like that.” he said with a simple grin. He then let his gaze wander around the old church. “It seems like no one has been here in ages. But it will work until the storm is over.” he said before his eyes landed back on the other. “You’re new here, right?” he asked as he wondered if he was living on that island.
Harry was right. It looked and felt as though no one had used this church in a really long time. Cobwebs were even growing on a few of the pews. It was a little church — maybe big enough to seat fifty at the most. Slowly, Simon decided to walk around. “It’s gorgeous,” he said in a hushed tone, but even he heard the thunder roaring outside. lovvesimon:
Awestruck eyes filled the hotel as he walked through, following her into the office then. It literally took his breath away — again.
“Simon.” He said with a smile, and then he shook his head. “Sorry, common name I know.” He readjusted the shoulder strap of his luggage that hung over his shoulder. He wasn’t even staying for long, hell his dad didn’t even know he was here.
“Carmichael. With a C, not a K.” Simon still smiled softly at her.
Donna typed in his first name. “It is. But you don’t get many Simon’s here. Unless they are guests.” Donna told him. She smiled. She was just about to ask him for his last name when he heard the name.
“Carmichael?“ Donna asked. ”Sam is your father?“ She asked. Either that or it was a coincidence that someone with the same last name was looking for Sam. She typed it in any way. “I’m Donna.“ She said, wondering if Simon even knows of her.
“Uh yeah,” he said with a nod, his blue eyes gazing around once more before they landed on the blonde woman. “Yeah, Sam’s my dad.” He smiled a little when she introduced herself. “Do you know him?” Clearly she did if she asked about Sam being his dad. lovvesimon:
Pushing one of the bags further under his arm, and trying not to juggle it too much, Si reached for Harry’s hand and shook it.  “Simon.”  And as he felt the bag slipping, he quickly released Harry’s hand and got a better grip on it like he had before.  When Harry suggested they open the door together, Simon glanced over his shoulder to take in the door before he looked at Harry with a nod - “Yeah!” Walking down into the rain was a mistake.  Simon’s white shirt was now soaked, sticking to his chest and even exposing the outline of his lightly toned chest, and his dark brown hair was sticking to his head.  He was a mess.
Walking back to the steps, Simon bent over and placed the bags down before he reached to the handle.  “On three we’ll push?”  It was again a suggestion, but perhaps with the help of Harry they could get out of this rain and stop shouting at each other.
Simon. A name Harry hadn’t hear much in his lifetime. But he liked it. And it suited him. But for some reason, he felt like he knew the boy from somewhere or at least he reminded him at someone. But he knew no one witht he name Simon, no one he could remember. Maybe it was just a weird feeling of him. When Simon agreed on pushing the door together open, Harry made his way up the stairs, his luggage placing down and bringing his hands towards the door. “On three.” he nodded, waiting for the other to start counting.Â
One, two, three..
Harry pushed with all his power against the door until he flew open. That was rather unexpected. Harry was much taller than the other which caused him to fall directly to the ground, the younger man landing on top of him. Just now, Harry hadn’t mentioned he was gay, and also that he felt rather attracted to the other. How couldn’t he when he saw him with his white wet shirt clinging to his body. Itwas hard.Â
“I-I’m sorry… but at least, we got the door open.” Harry let out a small laugh. Maybe he was trying to make a joke to hide his awkwardness.
“One, two, three...” And as he held a breath for a moment, Simon pushed with Harry behind him. Just on three, Simon did just that. He hadn’t expected their strength together to shove the door open and completely fall into one another.

The moment they reached the hotel, Simon bellowed over and rested his hands to his knees as he concentrated on his breathing. He hadn’t walked this much in years — he hoped he wasn’t going to pass out. After he felt less lightheaded, Simon reached into his bag and pulled out a glass water bottle. Popping the top open, Simon drank some as Donna spoke to someone about his dad. Apparently he’d just left.
“Oh yeah, that’d be great…. thank you.” He smiled at her. “This place is incredible.”
Donna noticed him get his breath back. She smiled. “You get used to it after a while.” She said. She led him to the office where she would usually check in the guests. “It is. Even though it could do with a revamp at some point.” Donna said.Â
She went behind the desk and clicked on something on the computer screen. “Can I take your name, please?” Donna asked, realizing she hadn’t already asked him this. She looked over at him.
Awestruck eyes filled the hotel as he walked through, following her into the office then. It literally took his breath away — again.

Climbing the steps seemed like such a chore. But, he didn’t give up. “Uh, New York.” He nodded to her. She seemed nice enough, even though Simon had no idea who this lady was, had everyone on this island been helpful like her? He’d hope so.
“Well, no, I was actually in Toronto for a project I’m working on.” Take some photos for his book that he’s going to have published, that was his goal. Well, his goal was to be a photographer, this book that he was going to create was going to help him get out there, be known in the world.
“Yeah, actually.” He didn’t like being around a lot of people too much, but it was fine.
Donna listened to him. “Oh. It has been a while since I was in the USA.” She told him. It was before Sophie had been born. So over 20 years ago. She smiled at him. “Everyone is pretty friendly here.” Donna said. When they reached the hotel, Donna looked around, she couldn’t see Sam anywhere. “Has anyone seen Sam?” Donna asked someone who was walking past her. She was told he had just popped out.Â
She looked back at Simon. “Seems like we just missed him.” She said. “You are booked to stay here?” Donna asked. “If you are, I can check you in if you want. You can freshen up then if you want.”
The moment they reached the hotel, Simon bellowed over and rested his hands to his knees as he concentrated on his breathing.
