Some bands should NEVER quit their day jobs and commit to music full time. Lowdive is not one of those bands. Breaking the current hipster, weirdo, Athens mold, Lowdive delivers a full tilt, powerful punch that even makes the ladies dance. Lowdive has all the pop essence with the underground intensity, and the knowledge of what people want on a Friday night; a good freaking time. Longtime friends and Athens music scene staples Jay Rodgers, Tonka Green, Dede Giddens, Josh Perkins, Scotty Nicholson, Colin Hatmaker meld a three guitar/keyboard attack, a funky bass line, and thunderous drums with a happy, shake your ass disposition that has skyrocketed them to the top of the Athens music scene. Lowdive follows that ska/punk/ reggae line that everyone knows and loves, putting their own spin on the predetermined style creating a genre all of their own. Lowdive without a doubt is meant for the stage to entertain rookies and seasoned musical veterans alike, never failing to do what live rock n roll was meant to do.
