I like making fanarts but I also love drawing my own oc's, something some spicy things, crackships and characters from my childhood, so I'll post a bit of everything ๐ โจ
I also do commissions, so if I have any open slots I'll announce them here and on my other social
I'm open to socializing! So if you want to talk to me, if we have common interests and want to chat about them, I have no problem with that
REQUESTS ALWAYS OPEN :b
(but Iโll draw only when I actually feel like it)
I gave birth to this guy today, just in time for Art Fight. ๐๏ธ
I'll leave the link to my profile if you're interested! I'll do my best to revenge attack anyone who decides to draw him. I'll also be attacking more Sea of Remnants OCs!
Here's a bit of his lore (though it might change later, I literally came up with all of this today while drinking my coffee)
He's an apprentice cartographer covered in barnacles, and he's missing part of his right arm and part of his left leg.
He spent a very long time unconscious underwater and has no idea how he ended up there because he completely lost his memory. A merchant ship found him after he got tangled in one of their fishing nets, and among the crew was a cartographer returning from a long expedition who was planning to get off at the next island, where he owned a map shop and lived upstairs. Since he was staying there anyway, the merchants ended up leaving Alden in his care, and the cartographer couldn't exactly leave someone in that condition to fend for himself, so he took pity on him and let him recover in his guest room. Once Alden woke up and regained his strength, he wanted to thank him by offering to help around the shop. The cartographer agreed to give him a chance as an employee, and over time he trusted him enough to leave the shop in his care whenever he went on expeditions. He also taught him the trade, gradually taking him on as his apprentice.
Although he was most likely the victim of a shipwreck, Alden has never wanted to look too deeply into it. In fact, he doesn't even want his memories back because he's terrified of finding out how many people he may have lost while he was underwater. What if he had a family? What if he had friends? What if he was the only survivor? He'd rather leave that door closed, and whenever he starts overthinking, he buries himself in his work, checking maps, routes, and notes over and over again for even the smallest mistakes. Strangely enough, he never tells anyone about his amnesia either, so it's a mystery to both the Voyager and R.S. At first he doesn't even know that the Voyager also lost their memories and that the entire journey revolves around getting them back. When he eventually finds out, he feels a strange mix of empathy and discomfort. He understands that emptiness better than anyone, but seeing someone willingly walk the very path he's spent years avoiding also scares him.
He's reserved and self-conscious about his appearance. He once tried pulling one of the barnacles off his neck and found out the hard way that it hurt like hell, so ever since then he's simply empties them out, leaving them dead and hollow... all except one. There's a living barnacle attached directly to his right eyeball, not because it's special or anything, but because after what happened with the one on his neck, he's way too scared to even think about pulling that one off lmao. Over time, that little barnacle became his constant companion. The two of them can communicate telepathically, and it even helps him with his work.
Since moving around takes a lot more effort for him, he prefers to stay seated whenever he can. Around the shop or while traveling he uses a crutch to get around more easily, while at home he usually uses a wheelchair. He had never gone on an expedition by himself until the Voyager's group needed to cross a completely unmapped region. Since no map of the area existed, he offered to join them and chart it along the way. His plan was simple: go there, make the map, and head back home. Instead, the trip spiraled into something much bigger, and he ended up getting swept along with the rest of the group.
During long walks, the Voyager sometimes offers to carry him on their back. Alden almost always refuses because he hates feeling like a burden, although every now and then he gives in and accepts the help, still feeling pretty embarrassed about it. He also tends to stay behind on the ship to rest once they've finished exploring an area, while everyone else keeps adventuring.
By the time he finally has the chance to return to his island, he's grown much more confident in himself. Before leaving, he hands all of his notes over to his mentor, and when everyone asks if he's really going back, he ends up saying something like, "Without me, you'd probably be lost somewhere by now," half-joking and half-serious before deciding to stay with the group. By then, he'd also grown attached to the routine they'd built together aboard the ship.
I'm still debating whether to ship him with the male Voyager. I think they'd be really cute together, and I feel like they'd be able to empathize with each other because of the whole memory loss thing.
Anyways thanks for ur time <3
