Hey, I really want to go vegan and I've done a lot of research, but I have a soy/peanut/wheat allergy, so I'm struggling to find some vegan recipes that won't kill me (and was wondering if you knew some). Also, my family isn't very supportive of veganism, how can I convince them that it's a good choice to be vegan and that I'm not harming my health by becoming vegan?
sadly, I'm probably not the best person to help you with this, as I don't have any allergies that "restrict" my diet any further than veganism. however I do know that a lot of brands make foods that are free of all the common allergies, such as dr.lucy's and enjoylife. I would try looking into those, and try shopping more at health food stores such as trader joes, sprouts, and whole foods. as for your parents I had the same problem. just do your research! inform them of why you no longer with to consume animal products, and about how it's bad for both your health, and the animals. look into vegan doctors, who will be able to supply you with scientific research. read books such as the China study, 80/10/10, and watch documentaries like forks over knives. if you inform yourself sufficiently, you will be able to contradict any mainstream bs that comes your way!
