I didn't figure I'd have the time or energy to do many edits for pride this year, so I picked a few of my characters to focus on. Specifically wanting to focus on my OCs that are some version of 'fuck you, I gender how I want' given the whole... [gestures vaguely at everything].

Amie being a trans woman isn't a thing I bring up about her a lot simply because she's been a woman so long now that her trans-ness is about as noteworthy a quirk as her hair color.

Varrien went through several different flavours of experimentation with his gender before realizing he was a trans man, and was blessed with two moms who supported this self-discovery journey the whole way through.

Preda had to extricate themselves from their narrow-minded family to be able to live as they pleased, and at this point is proud to be the 'family disappointment'. They've seen what makes their family cheer, and all that.

Asher doesn't give much of a hoot what people refer to them as, and when raising their siblings after their parents were gone, her youngest siblings especially seemed to embrace the idea of referring to them with whatever gendered term suited their fancy. He's a bit disappointed the outside world was less enthusiastic about it, but they'll live.

(I'm gonna shamelessly @freezerbnuuy cause I know they wanna see Amie so I'll make sure they'll see her 😂)

okay so i've been thinking about Thorn being in CoT and it works p good in that he could be the pc or an npc (just haven't figured out a title for him yet)

so. he's a science major tho he really wanted to be a dance major, but that's not an offered course, which is how he ends up joining the cheerleading team. He works at the river rat sun-tues. he had tried working at the fast food place but the manager was too annoying for him to endure (which. Get that man an award for being able to drive Thorn up the wall to the point of quitting) and summit market didn't pay enough to make it worth it to Thorn despite the convenience of it being on campus.

anyway. some sort of Incident happens at an away game. Football team lost, and lost Badly. The whole cheer team except for the captain looks really spooked, and walkin on eggshells around Thorn, who got. Roughed up. and he is fuckin Livid, but in a quiet rage kind of way. ends up cutting his hair short that night (RIP his long beautiful hair 💔). No one talks about what the fuck happened except that the cheer captain basically "threw him to the wolves." and everyone thinks he's gonna quit the team, but he doesn't. Because the cheer captain has triggered his Spite response. (If he's an npc and you can help him get revenge 👀 or sabotage him if you want but then he'll be focused on ruining you so uh. Watch Out lmao)
