Doing some more coding. The finite state machine turned out to be more of a hassle when adding new characters. So after doing some more research I am switching to a component system.
Been doing a lot of restructuring code and cleaning. Made a game manager to handle the different game states like this crude main tittle screen

Still doing some color tweaks to the night city theme, but at least I have it in game now. This is an ingame shot and not just a photoshopped mock up, yay! I updated the tileset and my custom tile editor which now includes an option to load in custom color palettes.
