People forget this when writing Maria Hill

I find a lot of people when writing fanfics about Maria (and I’m guilty of this too, no hate) don’t realize that Maria has military training and how that impacts her. Military training makes people more disagreeable! So yes, while she is a kind person, she is stubborn as hell. I don’t think she’d often lash out in anger, but she starts arguments. She can come across as over harsh or critical, and I think people (myself included) write her a bit too understanding in the moment especially in BlackHill fics. She’s quite intelligent, so I think she’d understand in retrospect, but in the moment I think she’d be harsher than she’s often written.

I had this thought the other day and like you cannot tell me these two are not the same person in like very slightly different fonts. One’s in italic and the other’s in bold maybe.

Older siblings who drink to drown their demons and who are a general mess who work in some sort of law enforcement role because neither of them can really hold down any other jobs.

Not to mention both were in a love triangle

I feel like they would be best friends too because they would understand each other’s fuck ups and there would be no judgement.
