That's right, after teasing the idea for ages and ages, I'm pleased to officially announce AceNico Week 2026, taking place from October 25th to October 31st.

Rules:
This week's all about focusing on the relationship between Ace Markey and Nico Hakobyan. This can be defined however you want; friends, enemies, lovers, enemies to friends, enemies to lovers, enemies to friends to lovers, queerplatonic, or something else entirely! Other characters can also be included so long as the focus is primarily on Ace and Nico.
Any sort of artistic contributions to the week are allowed, be it art or fics or any other creative medium you can think of! Only things not allowed are straight-up plagiarism and AI. I realize it's mildly redundant to mention both (given how most AI in our current day tends to involve plagiarism), but it's worth saying anyway. Also no pre-existing works; only new works will be included in the week's contributions!
Suggestive/NSFW content will be allowed, but please tag accordingly and do not contribute works of that nature if you are not 18+ (we will not reblog anything of the sort if this is not confirmed on your blog somewhere). Darker content including things like blood, violence and similar topics are allowed from people of any age, but please tag everything accordingly! We will be granting the same courtesy and tagging everything as best we can, but also please feel free to let us know if we missed anything and a post needs any specific tags!

Prompts are there to help spark ideas, but honestly, don't feel like you HAVE to stick to them for the week. Let the creativity flow and create whatever you want!
This is less for any participants and more for any sort of ship-haters who might try and pop up during the week to spoil anyone's fun; you will be blocked if you try to start shit with the host or any participants over shipping AceNico. You do not have to like the ship, but nothing gives you any right to go and harass others over a fictional ship that is hurting nobody in real life. We are hosting this event as a means of allowing people who happen to enjoy the dynamic a place to express that enjoyment comfortably and freely, block and move on if it bothers you that badly.

My birthday's actually during the ship week, so this doubles as a birthday gift to myself! Seven days of art dedicated to my favorite DRDT ship! ...Honestly I'd say that was on purpose, but also I was more focused on setting it to end on Ace's birthday/Halloween. So a funny coincidence more than anything!
I fully expect to be possibly the only one making stuff for the week (at least for the FULL week), with everyone else who participates being a delightful surprise. I don't mind, I just really enjoy Ace and Nico as a dynamic and wanted yet another excuse to make more art of them!
How excited am I for AceNico week? ...I already have one picture done before the announcement post is even public, if that tells you anything.
