Everything you listed describes religious tradition, symbolic memory, and modern national identity. None of that establishes indigeneity. Indigeneity is about continuous ancestral presence in a land the people who actually lived there generation after generation. Palestinians have that. A diaspora community whose ancestors lived in Europe, North Africa, or the Middle East for centuries has a religious connection to “Israel”, not an indigenous one.

And just to be clear: no one is denying that Jews lived in Palestine. Jewish communities existed there continuously. That’s not the debate. The debate is whether someone whose ancestors lived in Poland, Ukraine, Germany, Morocco, Iraq, etc., for hundreds of years becomes ‘indigenous’ to Palestine because their religion references it. Religious longing isn’t the same thing as ancestral geography.

If prayer direction, liturgy, and longing made people indigenous, then Irish Catholics would be indigenous to Rome and Indonesian Muslims would be indigenous to Mecca. You don’t believe that, because it’s obviously not how indigeneity works.

Leftists are so obsessed with the idea of being a good person that anyone who threatens their internal view of themselves is considered a cognitohazard. See how this one claims I didnt copy-paste anything they said? It's ugly to see your words and realize how hateful they are, so instead they dodge responsibility. It's a favorite part of their playbook, as a matter of fact! Make a claim, then cry foul when anyone contests it. They like to say you arent really engaging with the argument, you arent playing toys the way they want, because accepting your argument would mean that they did something bad. And if they did something bad, they're a bad person! Since they arent a bad person, they did nothing wrong.

Another neat little thing I noticed with this specimen in particular is that pattern they got, where you shoot down their points and they stop engaging. They like to say things to prove they arent scared or upset. "Im having fun, this is amusing, you didn't actually touch on my points, you're paraphrasing so it doesn't count." They want you to forget what the argument was about because then you would notice that you already won, so they start talking about the conversation itself rather than the contents of the conversation. See what I mean? They know I won. I know I won. But they wanna save face in front of their yes-men. On the off-chance they reblog this part, it'll be to tell everyone to point and laugh at me. They might tell me I gotta defend my points, they might say I didn't do that yet. They might pretend to roll their eyes, call me dramatic, try insinuating that I'm no big deal. It's all about putting up a front, yeah?

Not to overuse a quote, but there's something I like to keep in mind when interacting with leftists like these ones:

People claiming "conflating Jews with Israel is the real antisemitism" always bothered me because I just innately had this knowledge that it was stupid, without really realising why. Then it hit me.

It's because I speak french.

When Robespierre demanded French Jews be protected whilst in foreign countries he referred to them as Israélites. Books that document Jewish history and culture in france and francophone areas refer to them as Israélites. When Napoleon removed French Jews' rights, he referred to them as Israélites. Old bible story cartoons I watched referred to Jews as Israélites.

In the dictionary, "Israélites" is literally a synonym of Jew.

In french, Israélite referrs to all ethnic Jews (of Israël, Ashkenazi, from Maghreb, etc) regardless of religion. The word "Juif/Juive" (= Jew/Jewish) specifically referred to people who practice Judaism, regardless of ethnicity (so converts were more often referred to as Juif, rather than Israélite, if they were not ethnically Jewish). "Israéliens" was used to refer to people of Israeli nationality, regardless of ethnicity or religion.

Over time the usage of "Israélite" kinda got replaced with Juif/Juive, as languages change, but it's still not entirely uncommon in literature and research papers.

So it bothered me because I grew up speaking a language that acknowledges Jews' ethnic origins being from the kingdom of Israel, so all I was reading was basically "it's violently hateful towards french people to conflate the french with france"
