This, this right here. How many times have you seen men’s captains hug before the match? Offer a hand to someone they’ve just tackled? Encourage the opposing players after a crushing defeat? This is what you don’t get in men’s football: sportspeopleship, a sense of unity, real respect for each other. The women get it, take pride in the fact that they know that at the end of the day they’re all here for the same thing and with the same passion and love residing in their hearts. And you don’t know how happy it makes me to watch this and finally have truly positive footballing role models.
The difference between the men’s world cup and women’s is when the men get a small tap on the leg they fall over crying and act like they’re dying to the point they need to be carried off the field. Whereas in the women’s you see actual trips and kicks which look really painful but instead of falling on the floor for 10 min they shake it off get back up so they can take penalty kick.
If any of you even try to deny this just rewatch like any of the past games and you’ll see how many players have fallen over and they were barely even touched. It’s hilarious.

I look around at us and you know what I see? Losers… I mean like, folks who have lost stuff. And we have, man, we have, all of us. Homes, and our families, normal lives. And you think life takes more than it gives, but not today. Today it’s giving us something. It is giving us a chance.
