This was my first proper look into violence through video art. I got the idea from my experiments with Ellen’s spike sculptures, as well as my knowledge and experiences with horror films and slashers. I was inspired by Bill Viola to play with speed, and I like the effect it has however I think the video would have to loop for a long time for it be genuinely impactful on the viewer.
