Ninlil looked over the king as she smiled and took a seat next to him.

Lucifer inhaled, running a hand through his hair under his hat.

He was.. not.. okay…

“ It’s been.. a tad stressful… “

Ninlil looks over the king and agrees… he doesn’t look well. She holds out her arms, inviting him in for a hug but not initiating the first contact.

“What can I do to help mi Ojon? How can I make it less stressful…”

He silently walked into her arms, wrapping his own around her and slowly calming.

“ ..Nothing.. you don’t have to do anything. We’re all stressed enough as is, nobody needs to take or give more stress to others.. “

Ninlil wraps her arms and wings around the shorter man, holding him and protecting him.

“You know my loyalty is yours Ojon, but my heart belongs to Adam… I would never offer to help if I thought I’d be inconveniencing myself. I need to keep myself safe for him… that being said, I offer because I love you too… so please don’t worry about that with me okay? I help only because I want to.”

Then she smiles

“How about I tell you some funny stories I have seen around here. Take your mind off the situation for a bit, we can share tea and spend time like we used to.”

He felt an immediate pant of comfort and warmth, safety and security, being in the arms of someone so familiar.

Another pang of something else hit him closer to his heart, it was familiar, but he couldn’t put his finger on it. He could have sworn he felt this pang before, but..

He sighed, slowly pulling away from the hug, despite all he wanted to do was being to stay like that forever.

“ That sounds like a good idea.. I could use some catching up, eh? “

He chuckled quietly, brushing off his sleeves and giving her a warm smile.
