i needed to get something off my chest because its really bugging me: so since the dear class of 2020 speech, swifties have been constantly complaining about it and i’m sick of it. i posted about it last night and so have others saying how it wasn’t okay that her own ‘fans’ are hating on her. stop saying that you are giving her ‘constructive criticism’ because it’s not, it’s hate. y’all are being brutal and literally finding anyway to bring her down. yes we can be disappointed in her at some things she does, everyone is human and makes mistakes, i’m not saying you’re not allowed to be disappointed, but she didn’t do anything wrong at all. stop just hating on her when she did nothing. she decided to make a video message to congratulate those who graduated, the video was pre-recorded a few weeks ago because it takes weeks to put something like this together. she would not have had the choice to re record and she shouldn’t have to anyway. this wasn’t about the blm movement, it was about people graduating so she didn’t need to talk about it; it was not the time or the place to spread awareness. yes we should spread as much awareness as possible and i fully support blm and am doing everything i can to help but that video was dedicated to those who missed their graduation. another thing is that she was trying to use her own personal experiences to make you feel better like you had something to relate to. she was saying that just because you didn’t graduate the normal way, it doesn’t mean that there isn’t a light for you at the end of the tunnel!! she isn’t trying to relate her situation to a global pandemic; she was trying to relate about how she didn’t graduate normally either!! i cant believe i’m having to explain this to those who are hating on her because it’s honestly ridiculous. this is the reason she isn’t as active on social media anymore, i don’t blame her. her own fans are attacking her so when she does come on here, she sees nothing but hate; why would anyone want that?! y’all need to take a step back and think about if you actually care about taylor because if you did, you wouldn’t criticise her ever move. i’m not american but it doesn’t mean i’m not going to stand up for what is right and i think everyone should feel that way.

i don’t understand what goes through some people’s minds to think that this is okay, it’s not. they are no different to us apart from the colour of their skin and that doesn’t affect anything, they are still human beings so deserve to be treated like one. i cant believe some people are still so uneducated that things like this are still happen, it’s like we are living in a twisted 1920s world and we haven’t learnt anything from our past mistakes 😔 and the fact that incidents like the george floyd issue have happened so many times before but people just forget about them after a few days really annoys me, it shouldn’t have to take a death to remember how badly they get treated. some people are disgusting.

i’m so glad taylor has spoken out and used her huge platform to raise awareness but it shouldn’t take a big influencer or a death to realise how little rights some black people still get. black lives matter everyday, not just on those days where someone dies.

Happy one year since ME! Behind the diverting beat and dance worthy lyrics once you pay close attention to the lyrics it has a whole other meaning. Since this song is about embracing your individuality and owning it almost anyone can relate to it. At some point in life your insecurities take over and you feel like your not good enough or don’t fit in. You will stare at yourself in the mirror and see each crack or blemish that you try to hide with a smile. But it’s ok and healthy to feel like that once or twice but it’s better to instead be able to look at yourself and feel irreplaceable. It’s good to have self-confidence and be able to look at yourself and see those same cracks and blemishes, but instead of letting that take you down it instead makes you stronger.
