what does your muse smell like?
🚬 when they’re having a bad day and emotions are overwhelming – like cigarette smoke and weed ( uses it to damp the emotions and echoes she perceives as an empath - when they all too much to process ; it helps with anxiety and emotions intensity. ) ember uses gentle, mostly fragrance-free cosmetics or children’s cosmetics - when it comes to perfumes, ember likes herbal and fruity scents – a subtle scent of jasmine or orange blossom – just a hint of fragrance.
what do your muse’s hands feel like?
🧤 ember keeps their hands protected and hidden almost all the time — hidden in gloves, a pocket, or tucked away in long sleeves; physical barriers preventing the world from leaking in. on the rare occasions when skin-to-skin contact occurs (almost never), their hands are pale, surprisingly soft, yet cool to the touch, and often trembling or shaking slightly due to emotional overload. taking off their gloves or allowing someone to touch them is a sign of the utmost trust. ember usually only removes their gloves when they are with someone they trust or whose ‘vibes’ they are familiar with — energy that does not cause emotional shock to their overburdened nervous system or body. ember uses their hands as tools – psychometry – during paranormal investigations or research for more accurate ‘readings’. stripping away their gloves to touch an object allows them to absorb its history, emotions, and residual energy, though the process often leaves them physically drained and shaken.
does your muse have a good singing voice?
🎙️ low, raspy, and surprisingly warm, but good luck getting them to sing in front of an audience. ember has a soft, lower-register alto/tenor vocal range with a natural husky edge (partly from the occasional cigarette, partly just their speaking voice).
does your muse have any bad habits or nervous tics?
🌿 smoking as a way of coping with stress and cannabis as self-medication for anxiety and the suppression of perceived emotions. when ember is stressed, tired or overwhelmed compulsively spins the old silver ring on their finger (their childhood object of power) or clutches and tugs their black tourmaline pendant as a physical anchor to ground themselves in the present.
what does your muse usually look like/wear?
💅🏻you’ll most often find ember by looking for clothes in second-hand shops, at garage sales or at flea markets. you can find some unique pieces there - not only in terms of the quality of the material but also its history and vibes – for ember, every item of clothing has its own story; it is steeped in the moments and memories of its previous owner’s life. plus the price is good and you can save a few dollars – so it’s win win. ember style is a mix of grunge fashion and "rock chick" layers! lots of layers! base - a faded band T-shirt (ember is a huge fan of rock and metal bands from the 90s and 2000s) or a plain dark-coloured (black, grey, navy blue or forest green/dark brown) T-shirt. the next layer - oversized flannel shirts, chunky knit thrifted cardigans or definitely too big zip up hoodie. and when it’s cold – scuffed leather biker jacket / canvas utility jacket. bottoms ; ripped black skinny jeans / black-and-white checkered trousers / stripe pants or denim shorts during summer. you’ll see ember wearing just two types of shoes – maybe three when it’s warm ; heavy-duty combat boots / dr martens or sneakers (preferably vans or converse) and when it’s really hot – classy birkenstock sandals or even crocs (comfort above all else!) ember make up - heavy often messy black eyeshadow (don't call them emo, just don't) and a dark, matt lipstick or a sheer gloss. ember’s hair is a mess – literally – messy layers (shag or wolf cut) of bleached-platinum blonde shoulder-length strands. and dark roots. an “inseparable part” of their outfit is an old silver ring – an object of power – bonded with them since childchood and source of their empathic abilities. ember wears a lot of silver jewellery vintage rings and pendants – they always wear a silver pendant with a black tourmaline for protection and grounding (energetic shield).
is your muse affectionate? how much? how so?
💔 no. ember is very withdrawn and emotionally detached - while studying; journalism and art ; trying to keep contact to a minimum, purely professional, without attachment. ember is an outsider ; loner - any human connection means more burden more emotions memories secrets to ... process. when touch is raw and burns skin and neurons - the stronger the connection and the deeper the bond more to feel… more to hurt. in a world where touch burns and love cuts deep they must be distant not connected which isn’t easy when they’re always feeling. they feel everything whilst trying not to feel anything. trying to cut themselves off from the storm raging all around them, the storm within them. it is a defence mechanism that ember has developed over the years (do they yearn for closeness? yes, but does loneliness hurt more, or the emotions that would consume them whole if they opened up to someone?)
what position does your muse sleep in?
💤 ember is sleeping wrapped in a duvet and a blanket, as if in a soft, protective cocoon. they curl up into a ball or sleep in fetal position, knees pulled close to their chest, hands tucked safely under their pillow or clutched against their sternum.
could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room?
🌑 rarely their voice, but you’ll almost always hear their footwear - heavy boots or the squeaking of trainers on the floor. you can hear a subtle jingling of their silver rings and vintage pendants clinking against each other when they’re walking quickly or running their hands nervously through their hair.
