Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-
This anime is so underrated that I've been unconsciously rewatching it. It didn't occur to me that 'lit' or 'cool' this anime is; I just unconsciously searched for it and watched it all over again. Sometimes, I even skipped to parts where he's so cool or being funny with his servants.
First and foremost, the story is not that exciting, in my opinion, but some parts always make sense:
The goddess didn't find Makoto attractive, but she was able to summon him to come to the other world. Amongst the 3 otherworldly humans, only Makoto became so powerful that Tomoe described his power as matching the Goddess. He possessed an unexplainable power that could not be measured by mere scrolls, and would always show that he was level 1.
Hibiki's hesitation to kill. Among other 'otherworldly' humans, Hibiki shows how very much a human she is by showing her hesitation to kill, not just monsters, but demons as well. She was summoned by the goddess with the ability to summon a guardian, which in this case, was the wolf. Despite the fact that she has the power to do so, she is hesitant to take it. I can't say she is a coward, she's human. Before being summoned, she didn't expect to kill anyone, even monsters, as a living. She lives as a normal human girl in a normal school. She is human in a way that she doesn't want to interfere the circle of life set in a normal circumstances. She can still kill, if her judgment allows it.
Tomoki is a coward, and the goddess is just biased. In my opinion, there is nothing attractive about Tomoki. It's shown in the anime how biased the goddess is toward Tomoki. She blessed him with power, even 'charm eye' to make other people be charmed by him. Good thing Tomoe wasn't easily charmed by Tomoki and humiliated him in his own arrogance.
Tomoe, Mio and Shiki are Makoto's loyal servants. They chose to stay at Makoto's side as they are attracted to him because of his extraordinary power. They feel powerful when they are with him. They feel free as they can choose what they want for themselves, the same goes for Makoto. He feels included when he is with them. He becomes powerful when he needs to protect, the same goes for his loyal servants.
This anime is not your typical popular shounen or shoujo anime, but it is charming like the main character, Misumi Makoto.
