do you know what the polycule's first date was?

The first official date for both couples, and so the whole polycule I assume, was dinner at a restaurant then a movie, The Birds, at the cinema. Watching that movie made my Grandpa nervous about birds for the rest of his life 😂

do you actually know all your family members? there's like a hundred grandchildren and great grandchildren of the polycule

Yep! I've met everyone at least once and we try to have massive family get togethers once a year where everyone puts in the effort to all be in one place at the same time in person, it's absolute mayhem and completely chaotic but lots of fun

with the polycule's kids, is anyone upset about the polycule or upset about having the other guy/Uncle as their father?

There's definitely been lots of big feelings about all of it, I wouldn't say anyone's angry but there's frustration and annoyance and some sadness. Finding out your dad isn't your biological dad in adulthood brings a lot of challenges and a lot of questions so there's people upset that those questions may never be answered and some challenges might not ever be able to be dealt with and finding out your parents are actually dating their best friends as a big poly couple is a shock no matter what suspicions were had before knowing

Do you think your Grandpa leaned more towards guys then gals? You mentioned that burned note/letter where he said he was interested in your Uncle and looking at the family tree he's got fewer kids then your Uncle

It's definitely a possibility, we don't want to label him or speculate too much because it's not possible for him to be part of the discussion but we've recently confirmed he had a boyfriend outside of the polycule in his thirties and he was privately apart of a queer mens support and activism group so I think it's fair to say he identified as some flavour of queer

So when it came to children in the polycule did they try to make sure that each m/f couple in the polycule conceived at least one child together or were conceptions more a free for all? Sorry if it is weird to ask about your grandparent's sex life like this.

It's ok, I just try not to think about the details and asking about children isn't as weird as other sex life related questions I've gotten in my inbox

We don't know for sure but I guess it was a free for all situation. We know they didn't do any family planning, Auntie and Grandma was in a discussion with some of my at the time newly wed cousins and they said once they were married and moved into their homes they didn't prevent pregnancy and would have as many children as they were blessed with so from that and what we know from DNA testing I think it was a free for all, no planning situation

Nope. A couple of my cousins are also on tumblr so there's a chance they could see but I don't think anyone would be upset about it, one of my other cousins is thinking about documenting our poly grandparents somehow and she has a lot of support from the family so I think I'd be fine

Where I've been...

I took a much needed break from literally everything for about a month then I was pretty happy to just let this blog sit and collect dust because I kinda lost interest in Smosh and being creative and being perceived but then 99+ notifications and probably close to a hundred emails happened since about January so I logged back in to see what's up now that the notifications have chilled out a bit

For all my Smosh only followers, you might want to block my poly grandparents tag because I'll be spending the next few days clearing out my inbox and it's all about my grandparents/family

Your grandmother's deathbed post is making the rounds on Twitter but the screenshot was slightly yellow from like. Filters so someone was like "is this AI?" And I said I remembered seeing that post in the wild on tumblr.

Anyway I was wondering if that post is still up or if it's been since deleted. It's cool either way I was just curious.

I'm not really good with the tumblr and I don't want to flood everyone with answering every single ask relevant to this so I'm just making a post to say thanks for checking in and Luci's going to be ok

I don't know how much he'd want me to say so I'll keep it simple and say he's stressed out and taking a very needed break literally out in the mountains and connecting with nature

The video has hit me like a truck and I'm currently not able to say anything beyond I'm so amazed, proud, and emotional that DnP feel brave, safe, respected, and understood enough that they're comfortable sharing so much with fans and the entire world. I became a fan of theirs in 2014 so I've been around for a while and seen some shit and I can't believe they're so forgiving and still comfortable on the internet in any capacity

The video has caused a reunion of our high school friend group and we've been chatting in a group chat all day. One of them was actually given a day off work because the owner of their workplace is a massive DnP fan so the owner sent a text out saying "due to recent events I'm not emotionally stable enough to run a business so today is a paid day off" which is so wild to me 😂
