The reason I find this scene adorable is that Gladstone’s excitement over having an ‘adventure’ is real, and he feels he came out victorious from it, despite us knowing he did literally nothing to earn that feeling. 

Of course, this is also the reason he comes across to everyone as arrogant.

Plus Gladstone is the only Duck who’d look so excited about almost being robbed/murdered.

A Stormy Night

I really wanted to do more fluff for these precious birbs.

Taylor has a lot of adjusting to do; dragons are more common in China than America, so a storm has a fifty/fifty chance of being a grumpy dragon blowing off steam. Gladstone has to reassure him that no, there’s no dragon, and even if there were, his luck would keep them safe. But the best cure for such fears is just a good old fashioned cuddle pile.

Lookit my idiot son using his brain for once and figuring out Scrooge’s plan. :)

A bit of a look into how the ending differs from the episode; Taylor interferes with the challenge to help them win (Donald still wins due to Gladstone getting distracted). Liu Hai calls Scrooge’s bluff and decides to keep both of them, and try a quick taste of Donald’s luck to figure out where best to send him. I’m sure it ends well….

this happenes every other month i KNOW THAT BUT LIKE. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF IT. WHY DID THE SETUP HAPPEN (they could have just been like ‘lena’s magic is wonk bc blot is fucking around nearby’ or something idk but they just have it weird for no reason so that they can do the rest of the episode and the “lesson” again). why would webby and violet suggest using magic against the guy that IS IMMUNE/CAN ABSORB MAGIC. why would lena’s bff and adopted sister suggest that lena learn magic from a person they hate and KNOW HAS ABUSED LENA I DONT GETT ITTTTTT. and why did lena leave the staff in the swamp????????????? like even if she can handle magica other people cant. girl . think about this pleaseee i dont. i dont get it.

afterwards she just becomes a plot device her+huey’s section literally doesnt make any sense or work if you think about it for just a second because why couldnt lena…. just fucking. magicblast steelbeak. i dont get it. like. it genuinely feels like they kept up with the huey thing first (i think they could have done it better but whatever. like basically a 4th of the episode dedicated to them so i get it but that is another thing) and then were like “yeah, lena can do this now, just cuz! but she cant do the way more practical thing!”

also. we dont even need to talk abt magica and gladstone. they could have made him relevant but we dont need to talk about that because ive said it so many times already. sorry i really hate this episode. heart
