Anime North outfits this year (sat/sun). Kept things toned down since I was working the con (then again I keep a lot of stuff otome styling...). Couldn’t wear like 90% of my jewellery especially in the humidity and stuff like that due to sensativities :( boo~
Outfit rundowns:
LEFT: Metamorphose (jsk, bolero), Bodyline (sandals), handmade (purse) , offbrand everything else
RIGHT: Metamorphose (skirt), Milk (cardigan), Bodyline (shoes), handmade (purse), offbrand everything else
I thought I would restyle the dress from way back for the ‘then vs now’ photo. It’s the epitome of “granny curtains” but it still had a charm to it. Haha oh boy... I think we’ve all been there.
Outfit rundown:
OP|Rose Crown (JP indie), bolero|Metamorphose, OTK|Innocent World, everything else|offbrand or handmade
Thank you warm winter weather and I can still wear this dress! I hope I keep getting lots of opportunities to wear otome out in 2019.
The snow dots on this dress keeps making me want to wear it during the winter months even if it’s not quite suited for winters here...
Catching up on nails over the last month!
I love the art style of this game but the gameplay and stories just didn’t jive with me to continue on playing. BUT! So excited that they’re doing a collab with Earth, Music & Ecology! I really want to go to Japan again to shop there again!!!
Happy Halloween! Throwback to outfit shot I wore to a Halloween tea time with friends 💕 I hope you enjoy my little pops of red🍎! I didn’t dress up today unless you want to count field gear...

It’s beret season! Having cold weather sweep through makes me want to squeeze in a bit more skirts for some reason... there’s snow on my car today D: I don’t feel it fully fits otome styling because it’s way too dark and not much patterns but not sure what else to call it (oh well).
Sideways dot nails. Nothing like adding a lil’ sparkle ✨
Laughter at myself going head-on with cougar nails XD ahahaha. Ok, this is good to know how it turns out; might become useful one day... maybe.
It’s been a rainy week I am not sure what to make of it. I really should catch up on my outfits again!
Outfit rundown: dress: Axes femme, boater straw hat: h&m, socks: japanese offbrand
Backlogging my finds from the CaftCad sale this spring. Made out like a bandit! I think the $10 fur stole was my best find yet! I couldn’t believe it that I checked with the lady if she had misplaced the item but nope! Just another steal of a deal!
Off to see the ballet! I saw Frame by frame by the National Ballet of Canada. First time watching modern ballet and it was really interesting with effects and use of perspectives. Outfit: Dress - Jane Marple socks: AatP purse: Coach jacket: vintage (oh i love the fur on this!)
Spring nails even though there’s still snow on the ground right now.
I absolutely love this size gradient design of pokadot nails! I dreaded doing just full nail dot designs since there’s something a bit off for me. Perfect to go see the Yayoi Kusama exhibit at the same time!
Subtle almost french tip criss cross nails with pops of colour. I think it balances my need of fun nails while being conservative enough for work. Plus it’s a wonderful design no matter how long your nails are!
I’m back! Been terribly busy with work but it’s changing now so I got a bit more time to breathe and get back to my blogs. I recently purchased the Be Classy from Jujube in the Hello Sanrio print (I initially was eyeing for something with a Tokidoki print but this one just jumped at me and on sale too! Plus, GUDETAMA. *cough*). Initially the aim for me in this purchase is that it was a fix to all the things that are not working for me with the Tokidoki Creativa bag (it’s in the Eco Mondo print and retailed almost double the price as the Jujube Be Classy) which I probably used for a couple of years between university and work. Other caveat is I had someone point out to me to keep my Tokidoki messanger bag to be used as a diaper bag in the future but heya look where I am now... So here are my thoughts with that in mind (rather than using it as a diaper bag).:
1. Size - The size between the two are really close and both have very similar features in some way: there’s a front side pouches for smaller items, a big interior with some mesh pockets, bottle holder space on the sides and another compartment on the back. In terms of the spacing, it sounds like the same but one of the things that the Be Classy was changed from the old design (Better Be).
2. Front Flap - What stopped me from all those years until the Be Classy came out is that front flap. Yup, it’s miserably in the way for me but I guess it’s nice to cover things with an easy flap in some people’s opinions. I think the Creativa was the worst since it even had heavy claps (sturdy but a bad mix because the rest of the bag material is so light weight) and it just ruined the shape at times (or when it’s a bit on the stuffed side).
3. Structure - As much as I love the Tokidoki/LeSportsac/Jujube bags because of being light weight, one of the issues that are important to me is that despite being light weight, there’s some designs that really need to consider that - does the bag stay in shape or look like a wrangle mess depending what you put in it? You might be able to see that my Tokidoki one in the above photo is sadly a bit floppy and makes it horrible when I don’t have anything stiff to keep it’s shape. I am so so so relieved to see that the Be Classy is holding up it’s shape even when it’s completely empty. Time will tell if some of that piping and pads will keep it that way over time though).
4. Cleaning - Both are good for a good scrub down with soap and a wet cloth however I’ve been told you can pretty much toss anything Jujube into a washing machine (super plus for us busy people) and I can’t say the same for my Creativa due to the leather straps bits on it.
5. Zippers - Oh how I miss those nice rainbow metal zippers! They feel so sturdy and as much as I’m okay with the plastic zippers that Jujube has (I have a few other of their bags, no problems for years thus far) they just con’t compare. I guess it might of helped the bag to stay light but I really like the sturdiness since I have a tenancy to over pack at times.
6. Straps - One of the big things for me on the Be Classy are the tote straps that you can wear it under-arm and it looks GOOD! I’m giddy with the extra details they did for this Sanrio collab because instead of D-rings, it’s Hello Kitty’s bow and I love extra little touches like these. The messanger strap on the Be Classy is removable and is really well padded versus my old Tokidoki is not removable (which is fine considering there’s no other option to wear the bag) but the straps are not so comfortable walking around a lot with it when it’s got a stack of books/notes in them.
7. Findings - Another minor downside is that this Jujube bag has a patch for the logo rather than the usual metal plate. Perhaps this was forgone so they could do Kitty’s bows on the sides to keep costs the same?
8. Extra: Stickers - If you didn’t know yet, a lot of both Tokidoki and Jujube tags will feel a little werid because they actually double up as an extra sticker! Mine came off-set but nothing a little trim can fix and now I’ll be looking for the perfect place to stick this!
Hope this review has been helpful!
