But damn their confrontation would really be amazing because Lawless too used to hate Kuro for the exact same reason. It'd also be such a growth for Lawless as a character to tell Tsubaki "I understand you." and just... reason with him. Bring him on the right path and show him that healing is possible when he himself used to be lost and miserable and hurt and angry. Because he lost someone he loved.

Damn now I need this. I don't want anything else, I want this.

I am a HUGE fan of this concept. I think that Hyde could be a VERY good influence on Tsubaki if they ever got the opportunity to just…. talk things out. Seeing how much loss Hyde has experienced, how much growth he’s had, and his ever so growing role as an older brother over time, Hyde could honestly be REALLY understanding toward Tsubaki, and maybe even try to take Tsubaki under his wing.

Hyde’s been through a lot…. his human family ended his life, the Count seems like he saw Hyde as a toy or science project (and Hyde was basically told about the Count’s planned murder), the servamps for the most part shot down any recognition of being family, and Ophelia, who we don’t even know the extension of her treatment of Hyde, was killed right in front of him. Seeing Tsubaki, a brother he never even knew that he had, still grieving over the Count, probably sees a lot of himself in him. He knows what it’s like to grieve over family. And he probably doesn’t want his younger brother to fall into the trap of how he used to process his grief, and hurt everybody else in the world for it.

Tsubaki has a lot of similar values to Hyde when it comes to family. He cares just as much as Hyde about family. Granted, he’s not a big fan of his servamp siblings, but that’s understandable. They were the only ones that could even kill off the Count, who happened his father figure, and Kuro almost succeeded. But that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t want to be in a happy family. I mean, look at the amount of subclass he has, saving most of not all of them based on the assumption that they didn’t exactly have great lives or families and he wanted to give them a second chance. He’s loyal to each and every one of his subclass and they may even be the only reason Tsubaki has ever cried. As he grieves over his lost family he tries to protect the one he’s made and let them thrive.

Hyde and Tsubaki probably have a lot to talk out. Tsubaki and Hyde both had PLENTY of aggressions toward each other, and both did plenty of damage, but if there’s anybody that might be willing to give Tsubaki another chance, or at least talk things out, Hyde is probably pretty high on that list. Once he figures out why Tsubaki has been rampaging I think it’d be nice to see Hyde willing to reach out a helping hand to Tsubaki because he can probably recognize that Tsubaki isn’t a monster and doing it just because he was never known, but because Tsubaki’s missed out on a happy, healthy family, losing them again and again, just like he did.
