Stripe was born within a community of monks, living a normal life till she was kidnapped by a fae of The Wilds at the age of 10 (the specific creature is TBD, tho initially it was a satyr)
With the creature being a monk themselves, they had kidnapped Stripe and forced her to become their apprentice due to the potential they saw in her. And so for 15 years she trained under them, learning about the Feywilds and becoming one with it
Throughout the years though, she never stopped dreaming of returning home-- So for all 15 years of her training she carefully learned how to escape despite the watchful eye of her master
Upon returning to the Material Plane, Stripe found herself lost in a place unknown to her. So now, she constantly travels-- Trying to find her way home while also remaining wary that her master may be looking for her
Extra bit: Unbeknownst to her, months later after her disappearance would she have gained a brother. This brother, Spark of Life, would train himself for 15 years and leave the monastery-- Traveling the world in search for any information or location for the sister he's heard so much praise about

"Do you think there's a world out there where we're humans?"
Haruka lowered the bottle she was sipping from, eyebrow raised in confusion towards An from the random question.
The two were resting on a bench underneath the summer sun, sweat trailing down their cheeks while an empty basketball court stood before them. The surrounding area was relatively quiet, aside from the distant noise of cars.
Despite it only being the two of them, Haruka always chose to hide her selkie traits-- Opting to blend in more whenever in public, as compared to An. Only rarely has she seen her kitsune friend hide away her ears and tails, never seeming bothered by any weird stares.
And yet, An wasn't looking at Haruka. Instead, her eyes focused on the solely on the ball as she rotated it in her hands.
"Like, just born as regular people. No animalistic features, or types of magics and powers-- Or anything that sets us apart from humans."
Haruka didn't reply right away, capping her bottle only to tap it against her chin in thought.
Every monster is sure to have a thought like this before; Wishing to be human, to yearn to exist equally than to be seen as a freak. It never came to her to consider An having these sort of thoughts, though.
"Is something on your mind?" She decides to ask An, moving the bottle to sit in her lap as the kitsune stops rotating the ball. Haruka noticed the blur of An's tails slowly swishing back and forth at the edge of her vision, but she never took her eyes off her friend's face. "You can tell me if it's bothering you."
An placed the ball on the ground between her feet before sitting up, pierced ear flicking as her eyes finally met Haruka's. The look on the curious kitsune's face dispelled the concern the selkie had, mentally sighing in slight relief.
"Nah, it's nothing serious. But like, think about it-- Me not being able to cast my magic, or run around as a little fox?" A more playful air came from An now, knowing she was just amusing lighter thoughts. "I can't really imagine being unable to do these things, y'know?"
"Hmm, yeah I suppose so." Haruka hummed as she set her bottle aside, airing out her shirt a little. The moment she thought about being unable to swim around in her other form, she felt her body itch to put her seal skin on.
Shaking the thought from her head, Haruka's brow raised again with a smirk to her face. "I do think though that you'd have a harder time pranking people if you were a human though." She watched An's ears turn and flatten on her head, her tails' wag slowing down. "No more nabbing people's stuff, or tricking people's eyes. I bet you couldn't even fool me anymore."
One could say the kitsune almost looked offended, but the way she comically furrowed her brows and pouted said otherwise. "I bet I still could, I'd just have to be even stealthier..." Haruka couldn't help but to lightly chuckle when An grumbled with slight annoyance, knowing her friend's tendency to fumble at times.
The wind kicked up a little as a breeze came by, the selkie closing her eyes and tilting her head up to the sky to appreciate it. She doubted anything else would change were they both human, which Haruka didn't mind at all. Being able to spend time with An, chatting and hanging out like this amidst their busy schedules-- Was something she felt would always remain constant, no matter what kind of world they were in.
A moment passes when the wind dies back down as Haruka sighs, already missing the cool air.
"But hey, I mean if I was human then least I can't take up all your bedspace as a seal anym--" When she turned her head to look back at the kitsune, her words cut off as she saw the fox taking the last sip of water from her bottle. Haruka's expression deadpanned as she stared at An, who kept eye contact while capping the now empty water bottle and placed it back by the selkie's side.
Not only that, but she had the audacity to pick up her own bottle which sat on the side Haruka couldn't see. This little thief!
As if An already knew this was going to happen, the kitsune leapt up from her seat as the selkie lunged an arm out for her bottle. In a moment of playfulness, the two started chasing each other around the basketball court-- Yips of exclamation and friendly banter filling the air.
Yeah, whether they were monster, human, or anything else-- Nothing could change that would affect fun moments like this.
