The gifted always had to pay a price...and hers was a lovely mixed bag of debilitating headaches, a bleeding eye, convulsions and the cherry on top of an ancient malevolent being following her every move. The same malevolent being she was now sleeping against. Maybe if things had been different, if they'd both been normal and met like normal people....who knows... When he touched her cheek she stirred, eyelids twitching, threatening to awaken before she settled back down. She'd be enraged, perhaps, when she woke up that he'd gotten to her, found her at her most vulnerable, but for now she slept on...
