I write fanfic. I joined Tumblr thanks to Glee, which still pops up now and then. Otherwise my interests are Avengers (science!), Sherlock (Lestrade!), and writing original stories for hopeful someday publication. Links to my fanfic below.

I tried to read a Kurtbastian fic and was reminded of why I never got into Kurtbastian. Do all those stories actively hate Sebastian's character, or is it just most of them? Like the stories I've started have 100% all been either 'thank God Sebastian grew up and is nothing like he used to be' or 'here's Sebastian's horrifying backstory as to why he developed into such a loathsome person'. 

Like. Stop.

Can I be really lame and admit that watching The Flash and writing stupid fanfics is what made the last few months bearable for me?

Meantime, I'm not sure what I was expecting when I posted asking for help, but I'm pretty overwhelmed by the response. Thank you, everyone. I'll try to write something more profound at some point, but. Thanks. I'm okay, I'm all good. I'm not sure what I can do to pay anyone back but feel free to send ideas.

By tomorrow I'll know about the apartment and I'll know whether my little crap job is going to go full time or not. So, cross fingers for me, please. That one last favor's all I ask.

Side note: I had a talk once with Rinn about what it was like to go through life without having any kind of safety net. I've spent the last few months thinking, well, this is what it's like not having people to turn to when I need help the most. But that was stupid, because I had friends all along, I just didn't think to say anything. So. Thanks, internets, for being the safety net I forgot I had for a while there.

Hi, guys. So I got a few messages from people asking how they could help me after my last post, but I didn't really have any solutions so there was nothing to ask for. I think it's safe to say I've been pretty hard-core depressed and I couldn't even come up with a place to start finding solutions. 

But. That's changed a little now. 

I found an apartment here, near my little part-time job, and the rent is only $290 a month. I mean it's tiny, with shared bathrooms and nothing like a real kitchen, but whatever. It is the step forward I couldn't even think about a week ago. 

Anyway. I have a couple of weeks left at the shelter until my time there is up, and I'm hoping that in that time I can raise the money to get into that apartment. It's $290 for first month's rent, and $250 security deposit, and that's what I need. I'll get some of it through work, but I don't get my next check until two days after I've got to be out of the shelter. 

So. Um. Yeah. That's where I am. I guess I'm asking for help? But mostly I'm just wanting you guys to know that I am trying to find a way out of this situation.

Full Disclosure

Because it's been brought to my attention that people have been wondering about me. :)

I'm homeless. I guess that's the big thing. I was headed that way for a while, staying with friends and things, but like three months ago my life took a kind of huge blow and here I am. I'm staying in a shelter in Reno. Why Reno? Because that's where the county I was in at the time bussed me out to when they decided I couldn't stay there. 

So. Yeah. I'm at a shelter, so that's a yay. I have a part time job, which is something. I still have my laptop so far, which is a miracle, and that's about it. I guess I've hit kind of a depressed patch because I have no idea what to do or how to claw out of this. And I'm super embarrassed to admit any of this to the outer world, but then I guess I don't have all that much pride left anyway. 

And that's it. That's where I am.
