Waiting for it to get dark before we start the next scene. There are fireworks going to be shown the following night so they use these lights to replicate that for these scenes.

My detachable collar on a model
I used paper bubble wrap for my collar. I shaped it on the mannequin and cut it out. I took a photo of the results. I really like the texture of this material
For my collar project I decided to work with wire and wool to create my collar. I chose wire as I had some to hand and having never used the material before I wanted to experiment with it. I chose to use wool for this. I decided to use the color red instead of white as a homage to the scarlet woman trope. The color red has been associated negatively with regards to women in the past. I think we should use the color red to symbolise power and strength and I want to show that in my design. I made the pyramid structure first in two pieces on my mannequin. I wrapped the red wool around the wire structure. I photographed the process throughout. Next I connected the two pieces with a little bit of wire at the front. At the back I made circle shape with the wire and connected it to the two pieces. I covered the structure with the red wool. I will follow up on this post with the collar on a model
For this sample I embroidered a statement to the piece titled 'FEMINIST'. I like how this sample came out and enjoyed doing a bit of embroidary in the sun. I used black embroidary thread and white cotton for my collar
I took inspiration from disney villians as they are a great example of the use of collars in film and television. I grew up watching disney as many people do and I always wanted a collar like the villians. There is always this kind of opulance in regards to collars and it shows in disneys animations.
I did a sample as homage to the evil step mother in Snow White but unfortunately it didn't work out as I couldn't figure out a way to get the sample to sit on the neck
I used paper bubble wrap for my collar. I cut out circular shapes, halved them, got my desired shape on the mannequin and took photographs of the results. I like how this sample turned out. I like the shape of the pieces. I really like the texture of this material and will be looking to use it further in my designs
