Introduction
Hello! My name is Lucy, I am 16 years old and in 2021 I will travelling to Nepal as part of a World Challenge Expedition.
World Challenge have been giving students the opportunity to have unique travel experiences for over 30 years now, travelling to places like Tanzania, Nepal, Iceland and Nicaragua, to name a few. Their aim is to make students better global citizens. World Challenge also make sure they are doing the most they can to not have a bad impact on the environment by carbon offsetting flights, not using single-use plastics and much more. As part of the expeditions, teams are asked to take part in a project to help one of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. So, why am I telling you this?
I am writing this because I am lucky enough to have the chance to be a part of this amazing scheme in 2021 when 50 of my classmates and I will be travelling to Kathmandu, Nepal, for a life changing experience. To be able to go on this, we must be able to fundraise for our trip. I will be selling cakes, doing sponsored events, and much more and would love to share my journey with you.
