Lucy shook her head, smiling. ‘ I never forget who you are. “ She could recount the many times she could remember him in her restless hours. She reaches her hand up over his, leaning her head into his hand. “I know and you know the same goes to any of your enemies. Especially if they come after your family.” She kept her eyes on him, smiling softly. “I know I’m such a fool to worry but after so many years of being alone and losing you…I know my heart is worrisome. “
he nods his head, reaching his hand out to gently cup the side of her face. she looks upset or perhaps just somewhat burdened by whatever past circumstances have weighed on her. he feels badly for her, for having not been beside her. but they’re here now and that’s what matters at the end of everything isn’t it? “ it won’t happen again. ” he tells her. “ we won’t be apart again. ”
Lucy only wished she could have showed him what exactly she went through. She didn’t blame him for any of it. Not at all. She did feel a tranquil feeling when his hand cupped the side of her face. But she wanted to be focused on the fact the past was the past and they were together. But there was that darkness. “I know I shouldn’t be looking back on it..you’re very much right. But there is that darkness..all I want to is flush it out. “
