“Ah– You should be careful. This city is quite dangerous.”
Being an elder sister herself, she can’t help but worry about those who appear younger than her. It’s bad enough these scientists have to throw kids into this mess without some kind of parent or guardian, so she figures she would just have to look out for them herself.
“But isn’t that what makes things fun sometimes? It’s boring to know you’ll certainly win, so danger’s great! Nothing makes a game more fun that trying harder through tension ahaha~”
‘Danger’ was not exactly a familiar word to Tet anymore, even though he had seen a more destructive war than likely any in this city. It was simply a long ago concept that hadn’t existed for quite some time.
PLAYTIME KITAAA - Gentarou/Tet
ludieus
Gentarou had been feeling a little strung up lately. Getting the Kamen Rider Club back in order was tough on him, and trying to make cash as of late was tugging at his collar as well. He needed a break or something, to chill out and just mess around. Some more time for fun would be pretty nice too. Gentarou was spread out on a bench in the park, head tilted back and eyes shut tight. He lifted his head to observe the park around him, and noticed a funky looking kid skipping rocks across a pretty close by pond. Ah, rock skipping. A true Olympic sport. Gentarou decided to join in. He rose from his bench, gave a small stretch, and walked over to the kid.
“Aye kid! Betcha I can skip one farther!”, Gentarou initiated a challenge, not too serious of one, but a challenge at that. This kid couldn’t be all that good anyway, right?
Skipping rocks over water. Truly only a game a human would come up with, and obviously one only the lowest ranked race did. Yet despite all that he could do, despite it being literally 16 levels below him, the One True God stood at the basis of a pond, doing this lowly act. It turned out it was quite fun. While he was certain a Warbeast could simply reach the other side with little effort, an Elf would enchant the stone to go farther, and a Dhampir would simply trick you into thinking it had, doing it the natural, human way had its own level of entertainment.
And as an even greater bonus, it seemed he had attracted a challenger!
“Aha, so you wanna try to challenge me? Sure, sure, go ahead and try! A game’s always more fun with two players~” with a quick gesture to show his opponent could go first, he then raised his hand, and spoke what would be gibberish to the stranger, but necessary to those of his own world. “Let’s play aha~ Aschente!”
bewitchedblade:
“They’re not, actually – though, that might just be the fact that I seem to win every time…”
The perks of easily spacing out.
“Then you’ve never played against anyone good at it! The Flugel are really tough to beat since they can go days without blinking! And Elementals don’t even have eyes if they don’t want to so that’s a real challenge ahaha!”
bewitchedblade:
“I don’t stare. That’s terribly rude.”
“I observe, rather.”
“But staring can be fun! You can figure out a bunch of games doing so! Staring contests are fun too~”

[ Ω ]—— His strength might not be at full gauge yet, but he can get creative with it while transformed. Although he’s had very little time to think while trying to save a boy from the large metal frame that is inexplicably falling from the sky… only a few seconds to become Agito and catch the frame in both his hands, knocking it away from its target.
After that, there’s only pain.
“Ow ow ow ow!” Shouichi shakes his hands, crouching down and whimpering. “Scoring a hit like that shouldn’t hurt so much! At least I don’t think I broke my fingers– owwww!”
“Oooh, is this a new game? Aha, it looks interesting!” said the child looking god to his ‘savior’.
Of course, as the One True God, there was really no such thing as ‘danger’. Especially since in his world, he had made it so all murder, war, and theft was impossible. Therefor, while he comprehended the situation, he also brushed it aside as nothing but a game. After all, to him, that was all anything in life was.
“Ahaha, this seems like a game the Warbeasts would come up with! Hey hey, tell me how to play! What are the rules, it looks fun so I wanna try it!”
ludieus
“Ah? It’s not every day you see a little kid wondering around this place alone. But you look so cute that you might attract all kids of people! Good choice in timing to go out.’”
“Ahaha, you think so? Cool, cool, maybe I could start a big game for all of them then aha!” the tiny god said, not mentioning that he was actually older than most dirt.

“Kuraha, are you sure about this?…”
A wary glance was given at her lion that stood several feet away from her while she sat on a bench and watched him. With the war over, he felt the need to entertain his master to ease her tension from the aftermath of it. In her opinion, there was no need to do such a grandeur to please her. What she preferred was a nice, soothing bath and perhaps rest to regain full health.
Yet, she didn’t wish to be rude to her ally and was left with no choice but to accept his sincerity. Despite the goodness of the cause though, the set-up only managed to distress her further. As if a circus came to town, an inflaming hoop was prepared across from the beast for him to jump through- and if memory served correct the last time he did it, it didn’t go exactly as planned.
“Yes, Oujo-sama! This time, I’ve practiced so there’s no need for you to worry!”
With a confident huff coming from him, he immediately dashed across it, making a great leap through the obstacle. It was almost promising that he succeeded this time… that is if not his tail was engulfed by flames, again. A frantic yell coming from the Shinki, the goddess stood from her seat with a horrified expression grimacing over him.
“Kuraha!”
Water, she needed water right now! But where could she find some at this moment?
"Ahaha, that was impressive!"
The small god had watched as the display was set up. He had watched as the lion had prepared to jump. He had watched it complete. And he had watched it catch fire. And there he stood, simply watching.
Tet was an observer, he rarely entered onto the board himself. The rules of the game were his to make, but he preferred to watch as opposed to play. But, he couldn't simply sit and watch as a player was put in harms way. After all, it would be boring if a piece had to be removed from the board.
So, with a snap of his fingers, a large blob of water appeared over the lion, then proceeded to fall onto him. Normally he would have just created water, but he'd only been able to teleport it from a nearby fountain this time.
"You should try it again aha! Maybe you'll be able to get it this time! It'll be fun to see!"
His face held an expression of laughter, one that had not changed from the tail being set ablaze to the soaking of the animal. Though the animal was now likely several times heavier with the water seeped into its fur, he edged it to try again. Not out of spite or malice, but simply out of a wish to see him be able to succeed the next time and give himself, the one he wished to entertain, and Tet, a fun 'game' to play.
A HEART WAS on this person’s face. Was it a tattoo? If it was, that probably hurt when he got it. Overall, this boy’s style was very odd, and not what Cinque was actually used to. Bright, very colourful. Like a moth to a light, the cadet drew closer to him. And rather than speak up, what’s the first thing she does?
❝Boop!❞
Poke his cheek, the one with the heart on it. Directly on the heart. Maybe she was expecting it to do something.
That certainly was not something he was used to. Most of those he spoke to took no corporeal for to be able to touch him, and those that did usually had other things to react to. Such as falling from the sky.
He didn’t mind, in fact his demeanor didn’t change in the least. The only thing he felt was curiosity. Perhaps this was some kind of game? He just had to know! so with the finger still touching the outside of his mouth, he spoke.
“Hey hey, what’re you doin? Ahaha, it seems like your having fun, so I wanna know! Is it a new kind of tag? Aha, that can be really fun you know!”

Ventus was unsure of how they got there. He was even unsure of how he got here. But there was no escaping it. He had to play, or else it was the end.
Within a silence creeping over him, Ventus had to choose, and quick. He needed help within this tournament. He needed to win in order to save Terra. But…he knew nothing of chess. Not even a single clue of how to move a piece. And yet, here he was, standing before an enlarged board with nothing but a raised eyebrow and a single message repeated to him just a second ago.
Be it alone as you might, yet two will get it right
Now, Ventus was never exactly good at reading rhymes but..he believed this meant he needed a partner for this game. And so his search began.
Hours configured with mindless running. So much to the point of him being able to scope the entire city until landing back within his original place, back at the board.
Ventus huffed lightly as he fell into a sitting position. He’d never find Terra like this.
Tet had seen the boy when he first arrived at the board. He'd watched as he contemplated the board in its entirety. And he watched as the boy ran across the city, apparently in a search. However, he went unnoticed.
For the moment, Tet simply acted as an observer, not a player nor a piece. He watched as the boy did all he could to meet his desire for a game, whatever the reason for it was.
But a game couldn't start with only one player. And it seemed, try as the boy might, he could not find another. Tet enjoyed the position of observer, watching in on the fun and challenge of others. But if there was nothing to watch, he'd have to enter the board himself.
"Need someone to play? You knooow, I know a lot about this game! It's really fun once you get started ahaha~ Soooo, you want to play a game?"
Eyes twinkled lightly at the god before her, a simple nod was given, though the tension hadn’t left her. It was difficult to adjust gravitation unusual to her, especially when this was something that was truly uncommon. If he instructed her to believe, then she may as well listen to the expertise.
Even above, however, the chaos hadn’t left before their sight. Brows knitting lightly at the commotion below them, the child looked up only to answer the other whose juvenile attitude glowed at her.
❝I still think you’re a witch… But I don’t know,❞ she stopped, a doubtful glance given at him.
❝It’s not as scary as it is down there. You’re not scared…?❞
"Ahaha, that's fine! If that's what you believe that's what I'll be then~ A witch isn't the worst thing I could be."
This sight was not one new to Tet. He watched Disboard from the towering chess piece he called a home. High above everyone, he watched their lives go on, observed as they lived how they chose. They played games, they argued, the had fun, experienced sadness. He watched as new players entered the game of life and others left it. And he'd done so for a long time.
Even before the peace he'd created started. When the landscape of his world looked even more desolate and destroyed than this. When the Flugal lit the sky with their bombardments, when the howls of the Warbeasts filled the air, when the clatter of the Dwarves work carried on into the night. The war of the other gods had been worse than anything this city could ever see.
So despite everything he saw here, he'd seen it before. And he knew that no matter what, it would stop eventually. Whether he had to be the reason or those in charge would be. And so, he looked at the girl filled with worry with nothing but a large smile of child-like happiness and joy.
"Of course not~ You can't have fun if you live in fear. Real games are for those that can grin on through anything, and keep having fun no matter type challenge. Win or lose, all that's important is that you had fun playing. Even through all this that's true."
She could reverse it, actually, but she doesn’t get to say so because he promptly–
“H-How did you…?!” Mary’s first thought is Saeru, of the Snake of Clearing Eyes, but this newcomer, he’s not..he’s not threatening, not predatory? So it’s just something he can do, maybe?
She’s in awe.
Mary watches the man run off, one hand over her mouth. She turns back to the boy, bewilderment written all over. Where to even start?
“…U-Um…Would people really want to…I mean..h-how?”
People playing with her power instead of being scared to look into her eyes. That’s impossible.
"Who know? Ahaha~"
In a very upbeat manner he completely avoided her question. Tet wasn't one to keep secrets, but he did enjoy keeping a bit of mystery on the table. Laying down every card at once could be really boring. So he decided to leave her wondering a bit. It was better to leave someone wanting more as they say.
He had to think for a moment however about her question. He was certain he could find a game that used her power, but it wasn't something simple to do. Her ability was interesting, but there wasn't much to it (or so he assumed from what he'd seen). For the moment, he was a bit stumped.
"Ahaha, I have no idea~ But I'm sure we can find something eventually! Everyone always wants something new to play, all we have to do is figure out how~ I've never seen a power like this, so anything that we could come up with would be new and super fun! So so, it's your power, do you have any ideas?"
This child is interesting. The script claims that he’s a God but really, he feels more like a Witch. He plays with people like they’re pieces on a board instead of sucking them dry of faith. She could understand and respect that. One of the most primal urges of a Witch is to manipulate, and those that are willing to do so can at least capture a Witch’s attention.
“Are you saying that this isn’t already a game?” She curls her lips up and shakes her head. “Neither of us are the ones moving the main pieces, but that doesn’t mean something isn’t already unfolding. This whole world is a game– and this is just a plotpoint.” A very intriguing plotpoint nonetheless, but regardless.
She swishes the end of her cane, and her familiar rocking chair returns to her. Taking a seat, she looks out into the city, at the smoke rising in the air. What a wonderful scene. It would put any oil painting to shame. “War is a game in itself. The match is decided before the fighting even begins. And all these charming Pieces, bickering with each other… it’s a wonderful scene.” A cold glint sparkles in her eye as she turns back to him. “Removing their abilities is a fine way of interfering. Sometimes, when Pieces overturn fate, it makes for something grand.”
"Life is a game aha! It's all a matter of how you play it! Even an observer can end up on the board if the right players are involved, and that's what makes it fun! Ahaha!"
Unlike many observers and players, the game Tet had set up had himself as one of the parts of the game, the final challenge to whoever would take on his game. Gather all the other people, then challenge the One True God. Could anyone ever do it? Tet had no idea. And that was what made it so fun. Not knowing what would happen, diving into the unexpected? That was the best.
And that was why he spoke to this women with little care. She felt similar to Phantasma, not exactly an Old Deus, yet also close to it. He didn't know what exactly she was, and that made him more curious. The more curious, the more he speculated. And the more he speculated, the more fun he'll have when he finds out. This was the thought process of the one once called God of Play.
"War's so boooring though. It's always the same. The players and pieces change but the board is exactly the same. That's why you have to make it more fun! People who find interesting ways to fight are fun, but those that can't, you have to either give a push, or put them on a new path."
“Either can be super interesting ahaha! Seeing what people do with new powers or having all powers taken is always fun! Some have fun with it and get creative, and some just give up. That's how you know which are going to be more fun to play around with ahaha~"
Tilting her head sideways, she looked at him with some anticipation lurking in her gaze. What could he possibly do that would make things interesting-
well, she may as well have asked that sooner before she felt an odd sensation taking over her.
With a change in gravity, for a moment she felt as if she was going to fall, but her back never touched the ground. Unable to balance the new law of physics applied to her, she couldn’t help but let out a squeak while holding closely to her doll. Eyes shut, once she took a peek both optics gradually opened up to see the boy in front of her, now in the level without having to lift her head up. The fear that once aroused her seemed to disintegrate, although she hadn’t adapted to it too soon.
❝I-I won’t fall- right?❞ That was only her concern, since she had to admit it wasn’t too terrifying if he promised to not make any sudden surprises to drop her heart.
"Aha, of course not~ As long as you believe you won't anyway~"
Of course she wouldn't regardless of her beliefs. Tet simply wanted to see how she would react, so he did so in a teasing manor. It was always fun to see people's reactions when put into situations they could never have expected.
The chaos below them was enormous, but up above it all, the fighting could barely be seen. The fires blazed, but they looked much nicer from here (and yet still, 'suddenly' rain clouds appeared to quench some of them). In the air, they didn't have to be worried about being trampled or attacked. It was just wind, light, and them.
"So Rosa, what do you think? What am I? It's fun to hear you guess~" he said, still as calm as he had been, as if sitting on the air. "Do you think it's more fun up here than down there? Aha, I never know how people are going to answer that~"
In reaction to the tapping, the man rocks alarmingly, as if he’ll fall over and shatter if pushed hard enough. Except he won’t. He’s not stone, she’s not able to do that. Her blood’s too diluted–too much human, not enough medusa, now.
He’s so…impressed? Mary blinks a few times, caught off-guard, and she’s not scared so much as confused.
“G-Games?” She repeats, the tendrils of her hair twitching back into place as she relaxes. Slightly. “I don’t think anyone would want to play…Ah! I-I’ve just, always been able to!”
"Aaaw, but this could be really fun! Ah, I get it, you can't reverse it can you? Here, let me~"
With a snap of his finger, he restricted any power from affecting the man in a harmful way, applying Rule 1 and Rule 2 to him. Within a second, he once again moved freely: although now he could not harm anyone, no one could they harm him. Another glance at the girl and the god, and of course he ran. Tet simply waved to him calmly as he ran in a panic.
"See, everything's fine! You can make anything into a game, it doesn't matter what! It's even more fun to take something you've always done and use it in or new way! Ahahaha! I'm sure we could come up with some fun ways to play with that!"
❀ – One day, but not today. Probably not tomorrow either. Or the day after. She’d seen her fair share of fighting, of course, but nothing like this; people didn’t get hurt this badly. The fact that there was no end to the fighting and violence in sight made Yellow’s shoulders slump forward, a dejected weight pulling them down - until his words snapped her out of it.
The only thing that gave away her slight surprise was the owlish way she blinked at him, mouth slightly agape. It wasn’t long before her expression lifted into something more cheerful, a smile blooming and erasing all earlier traces of sadness. Maybe he was right! Since when was she one to be down for long, any way?
“Let’s have fun together with everyone else soon then, okay?” the trainer grinned, holding a hand out for him to shake. “I’m Yellow! What’s your name?”
"Ahaha, there you go! With a smile like that no one'll be fighting for long! With spirit like that even the Old Deus might falter!"
He was exaggerating of course. He doubted she had the determination or ability to conquer gods, not like the Gamer Siblings. But that wasn't what mattered. After all, the point of the Ten Oaths was not to have the greatest players control all, the point was to bring everyone together, regardless of race, position, or power.
His goal had always been one thing: Bring everyone together so that they could just have fun, and not worry about anything else. She didn't have the hidden charisma of Imanity's kings, but she had something else. The NEETS that led that country couldn't match the radiating joy and kindness that came from the girl.
"I'm Tet! Formerly called the God of Play, now the One True God aha~ You'd fit in well in Disboard. Maybe I can bring you there one day, ahaha!"
//Just as a note, due to AP exams, I will not be doing any replies until Wednesday/maybe Thursday! However after this I am basically done with school for the year, so I should have much more energy when it comes to writing! Sorry for the slight delay, but we’ll be back up and running at full speed soon enough!
