well, i was there on the day they sold  the cause for the queen, and when the lights all went out we watched our lives on the screen. i hate the ending myself, but it started with an all right scene.

i’m not sure if any of you have heard about the accusations against bob morley ( lukas’ faceclaim ), but on this account we 100% support and believe arryn, the victim. as a result, i don’t feel comfortable using bob as lukas’ faceclaim anymore. 

that being said, that in its self brings up a plethora of problems, especially since i based a lot of lukas’ back story on his roots, having to do with ethnicity, and where he’s come from and his struggles. i would love if POC would give me their suggestions on where to go from here. if there are any other male faceclaims that are filipino, or if i should go a completely different route and change around his story. truly, i don’t want to offend anyone, and i’m ignorant as to the correct direction to go in. until that’s all sorted out, i won’t be trying to bring him back. 

as someone who has been a victim of verbal and emotional abuse, i don’t want someone who has caused this to be a present face on this blog to trigger anyone who has also gone through it. and going along with that, i want to be sensitive to the fact that he is of color ( correct me if i’m wrong ), and i don’t want to change his face in a way that is offensive or wrong.

MATTHEW DOES NOT WANT to let go of him,  but he knows at some point he will have to.    even though they were in an INCREDIBLY secluded area,  it was still not smart to be out in the open.    but he’s still crying,  his hands are still SHAKING and his arms are so tight around luke he’s sure that it’s causing the man a bit of pain.    the artist is not listening to him either,  still a little bit worn over the idea that he was here to begin with.    he had resigned himself to a life living in this house,  perhaps taking a trip into the woods ever so often…     but this changes everything.

❝  you don’t know that.    perhaps i would have gotten you out of there all on my own.    i would have been USEFUL.      hands shake as he signs the words, but he knows that he should not worry about that now,  it would be something that kept him up at night,  something that would nag at the artist until he could not breathe.    how could he have RESTED so easily,  knowing luke was out there somewhere?     possibly alive?    how could he have been that WEAK?   

 he ignores the comment,  simply because how could luke know?    matthew was sure that he loved him,  he was sure the second he laid eyes on the boy…  but LUKE?    he was still learning.    he was still growing to trust someone again.    had separation changed him?    and in what way?

so instead he does something that no one expects, he shoves luke away from him.    head tilting to the side and eyes narrowing into slits.    ❝  stay still.    i want to look at you.       still as beautiful and as scary as when they first laid eyes on each other.    although he looked more worn,  there were a few more scars he had that he did not the last time they were together.    his hand reaches up,  touches his cheek.    ❝  c’mon.    let’s get you inside.    we only have two beds,  so you can take mine.    i’ll sleep on the bed roll.

his head shakes the  second  matthew begins to sign.  ❛  we’re not arguing that. you did the right thing.  ❜   had he gone after luke, he could have ended up dead, and  this  moment? this could have been a reunion solely between himself and willow. a reunion he would have been  thankful  for, but one that would have left a large  hole  somewhere in the scheme of, well..  everything. matthew was meant to be with them. 

      --   but that  shove.

everything he’s said goes out the window. this  joy  he felt, this... this almost  peace  --  the second he’s shoved away it changes everything. he takes it as rejection, even if it’s anything  but.  stay still. i want to look at you.  he’s already frozen from the previous gesture of the man before him, but now his eyes drift away, look anywhere but into the eyes of the person he said he just  loved.  that’s something that’s become  hard  for him to express since ariel left. it was seldom he even said it to  willow throughout all these years.

    maybe things have changed.   --  maybe matthew’s  mind  has changed. rejection is something lukas has never taken well, but he’s always been able to dish it out. maybe this is just  fair.  fair for the way he used to tip-toe around matthew. it’s just that he was so  scared.

a hand to his cheek grabs his attention, and he  makes  himself look at him  (  god, he hasn’t looked at another  living  person in  months ; not like  this ).   ❛  no,  ❜   (  firm, very matter-of-fact  )  it’s spoken, initially, but he switches to sign,  ❛  i’m not taking your bed. a bedroll is fine. better than i’ve been getting.  ❜  but willow is giving him this  look ; it seems like they’ve picked up right where they left off. that connection hasn’t ceased.  (  her look tells him to give a little more,  say  something more. don’t shut down.  )   ❛  -- i need scissors, or-- can you trim my hair? i can barely see.  ❜
