GUIDE TO HELP LUIGI MANGIONE BY WASTING JOEL SEIDEMANN'S TIME, ALL BY DOING WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO - i.e. by complaining.
Luigi Mangione's defense told NY state judge it won't be ready for the Jun 8 trial, while prosecutor Joel Seidemann said he'll be ready and prepared for it. Here's a secret Joel doesn't want you to know-a recently opened NY commission where YOU, a member of the public, can report him and waste his time.
About Commission on Prosecutorial Conduct (CPC)
CPC has been slowly getting established over last 2-3years&only opened an online complaint portal in Oct 2024. However, CPC "has not yet done outreach to notify the public" that they're accepting complaints and that's why you're hearing it here first. You don't have to be lawyer to complain. It's not a lawsuit, public only needs to submit some evidence that shows Joel's (professional/personal) misconduct & CPC will do the investigations. CPC can make Joel respond to complaints, attend a hearing, etc.. all that can annoy him and waste his time in general - which we love to see đ
As an example, Oct-Dec, 2024, after launching its online portal, CPC received 142 complaints - 14 came from "citizens" - people unrelated to any of the prosecutor's case. Again, this is after no outreach to let the public know about it was done!
What can the public complain about?
Luckily, these complaints aren't limited to prosecutorial misconduct. Prosecutors are public servants - they have to be on their best behavior at all times, otherwise any off-duty illegal or unethical acts can erode public trust in the justice system and to restore this trust in justice system, CPC starts an investigation and take disciplinary action. "No one is above the law", etc... E.g. ADA was caught speeding & paid her ticket-CPC still investigated & disciplined her, because she was rude & acting like she's above the law (see below for the summary of her case)
What can you report Joel for?
Releasing pics of Luigi's alleged diary to prejudice him, allowing legal call incident to happen, fake subpoena, refusing to explain himself.. But also his personals failings, e.g. his sexist statements. Honestly, use your AI bots if you really have to I dont f*cking care anymore, this is more important
CPC website lists all relevant laws & rules of behavior for prosecutorial misconduct complaints. On pdf complaint form there are only 7 lines (though, you can submit an attachments) to write your complaint. So, it doesn't have to be very long - just one long paragraph, at minimum, and then just attach articles / case files that mention the misconduct in your complaint. E.g. if you complaint about how Joel handled the medical records incident, attach case files & new articles that talk about it to be used as evidence. Check CPC website for more info.
You can't use a complaint template, as such mass-complaints would get automatically rejected, but we can complain about same issues, just in our own words. I attached a quick draft (source) of complaint (done in ~15-20min), it's not edit it so it's not very good, but just to give you some idea what it could look like
Y'all spend so much time on the internet complaining into the void. And the government spends so many resources to try to make you feel like you can't complain about them, especially, via their official complaints/grievance channels - that you have to have special knowledge/experience to do so. Which is not the case. It's within your rights to do this, so make your complaints actually potentially be of some use.

The reporters that were in the courtroom have live tweeted most of this conversation. I admire Luigiâs courage and him having the last word. Most powerful statement in this transcript.
