“i was watching the rerun of the masterchef and i got super inspired. — turns out, baking macarons is harder than it looks. after ruining kitchen, spending solid two hours, i remembered one critical problem: i don’t even like macaron. at the end of the day, i settled for dinosaur shaped nuggets. thank you for listening the summary of my disappointing day, you are the best.”
“what a waste. should’ve just started with the nuggets.”
“so, i accidentaly acquired a sugar daddy a few days ago and he keeps leaving money at the hospital for me. not sure if i should report it or enjoy the cash.”
“how do you accidentally get a sugar daddy? and why the fuck would you say no to a guy giving you money?”

description → luke invites rachel over before she leaves on her trip so he can talk to her about some issues they were having. they end up in a screaming match, but luke stops it by kissing her. they both leave more confused than they were going into the argument.
rachel brushed her hair out of her eyes as she made her way into the apartment after luke let her in. her bag was dropped onto the couch in the living room and she took her jacket off, the cold air hitting her, causing her to immediately shudder. "jesus, every time i'm over here it's like visiting the god damn north pole," the brunette muttered irritably, tossing her jacket to rest on top of her purse. her arms came around to hold herself and she was reminded of when luke held her in bed. he had held her tight to his chest and kissed her neck, keeping her warm and oddly enough, making her feel safe in his arms. it was nice and despite expecting the opposite, she remembered every second of it. things like that made her consider being nicer to him, the way he had been to her that night, but rachel knew she wouldn't. it felt too weird and that'd mean admitting she liked him, which also set her off.
luke needed to talk to rachel before she left for a week. he knew that he should've just hooked up with her last night and then stop talking to her like he had planned, but when she mentioned hooking up with lyon right after him, he couldn't help himself from becoming angry. maybe it was because she fucked his best friend, maybe it was because he didn't like that she was hooking up with more guys than just him in one night, or maybe it was because he didn't like that she was hooking up with other guys in general - either way, he was gonna try to make this as painless as possible. for him, at least. when she finally got to his apartment, he waited until she was inside and settled to start talking. after shutting the door, he looked her over and then let out a deep breath. "so did you two fuck last night?" he asked, his tone already hostile even though that wasn't really his intention.
rachel immediately knew 'him' was lyon, luke's best friend. she could sense the hostility in his voice and didn't know what to think of it. on one hand, she was a little annoyed that he was being hostile at all - her body was her body, she was going to do what she wanted with it and he wasn't her boyfriend to be getting mad over that in the first place. on the other, it was shady, even for her, to have slept with both him and his best friend in the same night and to have told him right before. it was rude and if she had found out he had done the same thing with sierra, she would probably be a little hostile as well. still, a part of her reveled in the fact that he was upset about it at all, because that meant he was thinking of her. annoyed with herself for even enjoying that thought, rachel's arms dropped to her side. "yeah, i told you we were gonna," the brunette said nonchalantly, looking at luke by the door. "is there a problem?"
luke shook his head, shutting his eyes for a second before reopening them and locking them on rachel. he took a few steps towards her and said, "y'know, this was good for a while," he began, "but now that you're out running your mouth, almost telling people about us, and hooking up with me and my best friend in the same night, i'm not so sure anymore." furrowing his eyebrows, he took another step closer to her so that they were at arms length apart from each other, "i mean, what the fuck rachel? i'm not gonna be some fucking sucker you do whatever you want to. you can go find some loser that wants your love and affection and you can fuck him over, not me," he said, raising his voice a bit.
rachel felt her heart sink deeper and deeper with each word he said, and her blood began to boil by the time he was halfway through his little speech. she didn't know what to say at first, thinking about what would happen if they really stopped hooking up. it seemed like nothing, considering they hated each other and would probably just keep ignoring each other but rachel didn't want that. she didn't want to stop showing up at crazy hours just to spend some time with him and then immediately push him away after, even if she sometimes just wanted to pull him closer. "would you get over it? it's sex. just because i slept with him once doesn't mean i plan on marrying him or doing it again. although, now that i think of it, i should just to piss you off," she spat bitterly, her voice beginning to raise in the same way he did. her eyebrows furrowed and rachel shook her head. "i didn't tell rosalind, and if you'd let me finish, you would have heard that i wasn't going to in the firstplace. what the fuck is wrong with you? why are you being such a bitch?"
luke raised an eyebrow, "you want me to get over it? i'll just fuck you and sierra in the same night and see how you fucking like it," he replied, becoming angrier after she spoke. "i'll remember that we're for some fucking reason going out of our way to piss each other off now. i don't remember agreeing to that being a part of our arrangement, but whatever rachel wants, rachel gets, right? fucking brat," he growled, shaking his head. he then chuckled bitterly, "why am i being such a bitch? why are you being such a bitch, huh? y'know, i might bicker with you or say some semi-rude shit to you, but you're just going out of your way to make me mad. and i'm telling you i'm not gonna have it. i don't need this shit, i got tons of girls that would ask to suck my dick with a please and thank you. i don't need the fucked up shit that comes with hooking up with you."
rachel glanced away from him when he called her a brat, swallowing the lump in her throat. "i said i should, you stupid fuck, i didn't say i was actually gonna do it. god, you even listen when i speak to you? do you ever listen to a fucking word i say or do you only listen when it's convenient? 'cause i'm getting real sick and tired of this shit, it's like talking to a fucking wall," rachel argued with him, glaring up at him. she mimicked his chuckle before rudely rolling her eyes at him. hearing him talk about all the girls that would gladly sleep with him, her hands were balled up into fists so tight that her knuckles turned white and she didn't even realize it. "you don't need it? then fuck off, back out of it," she raised her voice a bit louder, trying not to show even an inkling of the hurt she felt. "if you wanna stop fucking with me and you're that fed up, then do it already. just fucking delete my number and block me and stop telling me to come over in the middle of the night, since it's that god damn important to you!"
luke "you should, you will, what's the fucking difference? i don't know why you even have to ponder the idea of intentionally trying to piss me the fuck off!" luke yelled, "do i really deserve that? no. i don't." he answered his own question. he then clenched his jaw, anger boiling over in him as she told him to drop her. he really, really wanted to, but he knew deep down that there was no way he could really do it. there was something about rachel and their relationship that kept him coming back for more, and he knew he was gonna miss her while she was away - but knowing that only pissed him off more. he wished he could stop feeling that way, but he didn't know how. "okay, i will," he shouted back, taking his phone out of his pocket, "as soon as you get outta my sight i'm gonna erase all your shit from my phone. this is fucking done."
rachel flinched a bit when he yelled. they'd argued before, but never like this. they had never yelled at each other like this, she had never seen him this angry and especially not with her. it scared her - not because she thought he might do anything to her, but because she didn't know how they would come back from this. they usually had small fights that ended in her ignoring him for a few hours or a day at most, but she didn't know how either one of them would approach each other after him. her gaze softened for a split second when he took his phone out, but she caught herself and looked away from him almost instantly. she collected herself before looking back at him, angrier and more hurt than ever. "fuck you, luke," she muttered bitterly before beginning to shout the same way he had. "fuck you. as soon as shit doesn't go your way, as soon as i do one little thing you act like i'm the god damn devil. it's like you just sit around looking for some sort of fucking excuse to get rid of me!" her voice cracked near the end with hurt and she prayed to god he didn't hear it.
luke looked her over as she yelled, and he could tell she was furious. this was more angry than he had ever seen her be before, and he knew what he had said hurt her. he probably - no, definitely was blowing this whole situation out of proportion and creating a bigger problem than there needed to be. there was some truth in what she said - a part of him was scared of how much rachel was beginning to mean to him. it wasn't like he was in love with her or anything, but he knew she wasn't just a hook up - she was more than that. when she stopped yelling, he opened his mouth to shout back at her but he couldn't find any words. instead, he didn't really know why, but he stepped closer to her, erasing the gap in between their bodies, and pressed his lips against hers, bringing a hand up to cup her cheek.
rachel waited for him to yell at her, or finally kick her out of his apartment. she waited and waited but neither one came. instead, rachel watched him come closer to her and knew what would be happening instead. she wanted to back away, to push him or yell some more because she didn't want this - rachel knew kissing him would just make all these feelings that she spent a long time pushing away just come flooding right back. kissing him would mean having to deal with whatever unspoken thing had been going on between the two of them for a while now, the same thing thing that led to her asking him to hold her in his arms and him getting angry when she mentioned sleeping with someone else. instead of doing anything to stop it, she eagerly leaned up to kiss him, her hands relaxing and coming up to rest on his chest. she kissed him for a moment before slowly pulling her face back, her body's position remaining as she looked up at him. her gaze was no longer hard and angry, and she knew there was no point in continuing to be angry with him. "luke..." she trailed off, unable to think of anything to say to him that wouldn't result in her spilling everything she felt.
luke enjoyed the moment as they kissed. he knew this kiss was going to be the only seconds of bliss he'd be getting for the night. as she pulled away, he let out a soft sigh and his eyes met hers again. he shouldn't have kissed her, it took all his anger out of him and replaced it with a feeling of emptiness and confusion. everything was so fucked up with them, but he wished she could just spend the night and they could worry about their problems later. instead, he knew what he had to do. he shouldn't make things even more complicated for them. allowing his eyes to examine every detail of her face in silence, he took the moment in before speaking. "you should probably go..." he mumbled, putting his eyes on the ground.
rachel thought she couldn't have felt worse than how she did while they were in a screaming match, that that had been it for the night. that proved to not be the case at all once she heard him say those four words. there was a stunned silence afterwards, and rachel looked at him before slowly backing out of his touch. she felt an ache in her heart, an ache that he had caused but she knew only he would be able to fix. she completely avoided looking at him as she leaned over to pick up her jacket, silently putting it back on. her eyes remained on her purse as she did this, not wanting to look at him or even know if he was watching her. she had wanted him to apologize and tell her things weren't really over, or ask her to stay with him regardless of their whole fight. instead, she was being kicked out after he had just kissed her. rachel began to feel angry once more, angry that he had confused her all over again and angry that she had never really stopped being confused. picking up her purse, she walked past him and towards the door, making sure to roughly and 'accidentally' bump her shoulder with his.
luke watched as she pulled away from him, and he really wanted nothing more than to just pull her in again and not let her go. as he watched her get her things together, he wanted to tell her to stop and to stay with him, but he kept on reminding himself that he had already confused things enough. it'd be a lot easier if she'd just hate him for this and they never spoke again. when she bumped into him, he took a step back and shook his head. he fucked up. he made the bad call. this wasn't what he really wanted. but he had to deal with that on his own because this was his fault. taking a seat down on the couch, he watched as rachel left the room and then he put his head in his hands.
