@lukedgarroway
so if i wash my eyebrows with lavender, they'll be as pretty as yours?
"Yes, they will be. Maybe shinier, too."
then how come your eyebrows aren't purple?
"I don't know," Luke replied, shrugging. "But I can assure you, they smell great."
what is the secret to your eyebrows?
"The secret to my eyebrows is lavender shampoo."
pun master
"Yes. All hail the king of puns!"
do you wax your eyebrows?
"No, I don't. A long time ago, though, my daughter decided to wax them in my sleep."
how are your eyebrows?
"My eyebrows are intact and majestically beautiful."
How's the marriage, Lucian?
"The marriage is going great."
what would you feel if someone called you a sexay beast?
Luke chuckled at the question. It was amusing, and he never thought anyone would ask him such a query.
"I would laugh and agree. I am quite sexy, or so my wife tells me.”
Are you married with Jocelyn?
"Yes, I am."
Callista heard the sigh and looked at her father slightly confused. Had she done something wrong? She was never sure with things like this especially when it came to physical affection. She loved her dad and didn’t mind him knowing it, but the actual expression of it was difficult. Hugs were always slightly awkward even if she did enjoy them, hug too short and people think somethings wrong, hug too long and it gets extra awkward. There was no winning.
She crossed her arms and waited. He was lying. He had to be, or else there would certainly be less sighing. Right?
"Yes, I um… suppose we could do that. I think I could figure it out even if I don’t remember everything at once. I’ve made them probably enough times it won’t be a problem. If I can memorize the plethora of ways to kill a demon cookies ought to be a piece of cake."
Luke looked at his daughter's perplexed expression after she let go. He knew that expression all too well. She was over-analyzing things again, but this time, he had no idea what she was thinking of.
Her crossed arms gave it all away. He ruffled her hair and pressed his lips to her forehead.Â
"There's nothing wrong, kiddo." he said.Â
If he was in his wolf form, his ears would have perked up at her answer regarding the cookies.
"On we march to the kitchen, then!"
Here's a question...
Zuko? Who’s that?
He's this guy in this old cartoon show I used to watch with Clary and Simon when they were younger.Â
Frankly, he was quite good looking.Â
He nodded at the man before fishing out the lighter, which he never forgets to bring, from his back pocket and ignited the cigarette butt in between his lips. He took one long drag before looking up at the lycanthrope who addressed him something he didn’t want to be called as and exhaled a puff of smoke in front of Luke’s face. “Never call me that again.”
He chuckled and shook his head, following the man into the street as he hailed a cab for them to ride. “You know, I have a car.”
But it was too late. Luke had already instructed the Asian taxi driver to their destination. He rolled his eyes and settled into the passenger’s side of that automobile. He smirked mischievously and lowered the pitch of his voice as if he spoke to his pet dog. “Before you, boy.”
Luke didn't mean to be rude, but he coughed at the puff of smoke the old man exhaled at him. He waved his hand at the puff of smoke until it turned to tendrils and dissipated into the night.Â
"Well, I have one, too, but it's nice to explore New York in a taxi."
He didn't miss the derogatory tone Derreck spoke in. A feral growl escaped him as he sat down in the back seat. He was about to reply to him when the cabby spoke in a heavy Chinese accent.
"Are you two having lovers' quarrel?"
Somehow this was funny but on the other hand that meant she had to touch that thing. “Yeah, yeah,..I’ll help you.” Carefully she knelt down, trying to grab the duck, but Luke was wiggling his tail to strong. “Pa, you need to stay still, I can’t grab this little monster.” She told him.
Katerina finally got it of his tail, after minutes of trying and thinking of how to get it of him. The duckling was actually quite cute and fluffy but that changed quickly as it bit her. “Fucking little shit.." the young girl swore and dropped the duckling. She hold her hand, rubbing it so it wouldn’t hurt so bad. "I swear if I’ll find out who that was, they’re going straight to hell, even if I have to go with them." She said, looking at Luke.
"Are you okay?" Kat asked him, smiling slightly now that her room was duck-free again. "But honestly that was actually funny..how the duck was tangling on you tail.." The ginger grinned a little, hugging him, pressing herself to him, still in his wolf form. "Thank you, Pa." She told Luke, his fur was actually wonderful. "You’re fluffy. —-" Katerina mumbled.
Luke waited impatiently, displaying his loathing for the devious little duckling by wagging his tail back and forth with great force. It wasn't until Kat told him to stay still did he halt his futile attempt to get the duckling off his tail.
He watched her as she slowly reached for the little horrid creature. He saw a look adoration on Kat's face as she momentarily observed it, most probably contemplating on how cute it looked, but whatever thought of considering the animal good disappeared as she cussed at the little waddling fluff of yellow.Â
The famous Herondale fear of ducks was an extraordinary thing, and he couldn't help but let out a throaty, wolfy chuckle at the fine display of the family's phobia right in front of him.Â
The wolf nodded his okay and stuck his tongue out the way dogs did to show her that he, too, found the whole thing funny. This would be a great story to tell if she decides to bring a boy over in the future.
Her hug surprised him but he quickly responded by raising his head and licking her cheek.
He let out a wolfy laugh again at the comment of his fur.Â
As nice as the hug was, Luke had to pull away from her because her tight embrace was suffocating him.
He took a few steps back, looked at her, and pointed his muzzle to his back and looked back at Kat, motioning for her to climb on him.
Here's a question...
If you had ten strands of hair left in your head, how would you prefer it? Scattered all over your scalp or piled up in one space?
What an interesting query!
I would say piled up in one space so I would look like that Zuko guy.
"It tastes perpetually…Â
… distasteful.”Â
Luke -- although only about five feet away from the warlock -- raised the binoculars he found earlier in the day to his eyes to inspect whatever it was the high warlock bit into.
"It doesn't look distasteful."
"Is there a permanent rain cloud stationed right above New York City or what?"
"Nah, you just happen to be bad luck." Luke replied playfully with a soft chuckle towards the end.Â
