Miss Kitty, may your beautiful soul rest peacefully. After 17 years, she will be deeply missed because of how wonderful she was. She would always meet us at the door when we got home and speak to us with her meows. Anytime we sat down throughout the house she would always want a lap to sit on, especially when we would watch TV. She just had to be on someone's lap. She just loved to be around us and we loved her for that. We loved petting her because she was so soft with the long fur coat she had and the petting led to her loud purring, which was so calming. She had an interesting personality because she didn't care so much for her four legged friends, but she absolutely loved people. During gatherings she would always be mixing and mingling with anyone. We must #EndRacism and be #AntiRacist! So many people think we ended racism during the #CivilRightsMovement, but that’s not true. We still have a lot of #SystemicRacism built into so many of society's institutions. We have a lot of work to do to turn these #injustices around. Talk to others and vote for politicians who will change the laws for true #equality because #BlackLivesMatter.
