It’s been . . .
The words hung in the air, the Water Pillar forced to marinate in their vague presence as she fought to process the time. It didn’t bode well that it took her several seconds to recall the last time she’d physically seen her relative and while her voice had remained optimistic up until this point, Giyuu understood the underlying hardship had shook her to her core. Loss had a way of shattering any resolve, the feeling was unlike any other and it left you feeling empty, hopeless, without a purpose. Up until now she had found her purpose, to search for her brother; though even Giyuu knew that as weeks turned to months and months to years it would only grow increasingly hard to locate him.
〝 Six years, 〞 his lips mutter as his gaze shifts away for the briefest of moments, Giyuu forcing himself to be optimistic in the face of overwhelming odds. Six years without seeing someone you were actively looking for was insane, it had to pain her to continue; though as she put it— what else had she to lose?
〝 I understand. 〞
His gaze retracted back to her, cerulean orbs peerless in their depth and intensity. His visage was calm, though determined as he offered her a gentle, reassuring smile.
〝 I’ll help you find your brother. I’m Giyuu by the way.. I don’t think I properly introduced myself. 〞
