This movie is so frustrating because it's...bad, but Jack gives possibly one of his best performances. His character goes through a LOT. He's trying to keep harmony amongst his crew but he also recently lost his wife and daughter and probably isn't emotionally equipped to handle such a dangerous mission.

Also, tell me you don't get slight modern AU James vibes with y/n helping him process his grief.
