Maybe it was a long time to get back to writing on Tumblr, but I think I finally have some time to describe my trip to Brazil, one of the first by plane and with a unique experience.
All of this dates back to the following dates:
March and April 2022: "The beginning of the journey"
On these dates, conversations began about a work trip to Brazil, with a Communication Meeting of the South American Division "Connecting Universes: Mission without borders", an event that took place in Brasilia, inaugurated as the capital of Brazil in 1960, is a planned city distinguished by its white modern architecture, whose design was in charge of Oscar Niemeyer. It was designed in the shape of an airplane and its "fuselage" is the Monumental Axis, two wide avenues surrounding a huge park. In the "cockpit" is the Plaza de los Tres Poderes, named for the three branches of government that surround it.
"The journey and its arrival"
On May 15, 2022, the trip from Santiago to Buenos Aires began, and then followed the trip from Buenos Aires to Brasilia (how exhausting that sounds).
I was able to travel by plane for the first time, and well, I felt a lot of nerves at the moment I started the trip, not even at the moment I started flying on the plane, but rather, it started the moment I was already at the airport.
When I was already on the plane to Buenos Aires, it was when I felt the best: how I was glued to the seat at take-off time and how I saw the city of Santiago as if it were small. Arriving in Buenos Aires, we were stuck for about 3 to 4 hours at the airport, easy, because the stopover was later, and when we got back on the plane, the emotion was much better, because I could see the most beautiful thing in my life: an unparalleled sunset from the plane window … it was beautiful.
And finally, after making friends and more on the plane, the journey to the hotel where we would stay with my work colleagues began. On it, Jorge, Natacha, Coto, Colato and I started to leave the airport with too much heat (because of the damn humidity in Brasilia), and after almost 20 to 30 minutes, we arrived at the hotel.
Before we continue, I want to apologize to Colato…. I'm sorry :c (Context later)
"Getting to know Brasilia with heat"
We arrived in Brasilia, spent the first night in the hotel (and with air conditioning on all night) and started our first day in the city. We visited many places such as the Cathedral of Brasilia, its Government buildings, its Chamber of Deputies and Senators (it is worth mentioning that these last two buildings looked like a giant cereal boul) and other extra places that were close to the area.
It was a good time to capture funny moments and things in that part of the trip, since I didn't know anyone else apart from my colleagues, I was able to do a lot of stupid things in a free way (like running like Naruto).
Finally, it was hours of walking, hours of fun, recording, knowledge, food and of course, many stupid things that were done in a single day, which I can perfectly summarize in this video that I edited weeks after the trip to Brasilia:
Do you think I'm going to comment on what was done on that trip? Well, yes, but only the fun part, since it is known that I went for work. Anyway, we went to coffee shops, restaurants in the area, and of course, we went to a strange pizza place. It turns out that the pizzeria, you could pay only once, and you could eat the pizzas you wanted (obviously the waiter was telling you which pizza he had). Let me explain.
If you wanted to eat mushroom pizza, and the waiter had a mushroom pizza, all you had to do was raise your hand and they would give you a piece of that pizza. Then the waiter would show up with another pizza with other flavors, and you wanted a slice of that pizza, you raised your hand and ate. Practically, you had all the pizza you wanted to eat.
Speaking of unlimited pizzas, Colato and I came up with a fucking awesome idea: to kill the whole trip drinking "Guaraná", a very popular drink in Brazil. And for the best, everything was very cheap, so we ended up acquiring about 40 guaranás in the whole trip.
Also, a couple of paragraphs ago, I mentioned many people, and among them was Natacha (here I leave you a brief gif so you know who she is).
She is a full-fledged graphic designer (get the idea that just mentioning the word Canva gives her a mental seizure). At the conference we went to, the first day was not much to her liking, let alone mine.
It turns out that I have a lot of esteem for her because (even though we argue and our relationship between colleagues is a bit weird), we can both learn a lot from each other.
In the event, I have realized that it is not easy to have this kind of problem, since in order for me to understand, it must be by sign language or lip reading when interacting with her. Even though she didn't want me to worry about it, I still did, since she dared to fly miles to be part of this trip. It is important to see this type of situation, as we all need to be part of the inclusion of those who really need it.
The good thing is that this problem was solved and I could see how Natacha could also enjoy both the trip and the event.
Finally, about Colato. I am publicly writing that I am very good at snoring when I am very tired. Therefore, I had to sleep with Colato in the same room.
While, on the first night we didn't have much of a problem because we were obviously both tired from the trip, there was no problem. But when the second night onwards started, I couldn't let Colato sleep.
So, this will be the last time I will apologize to him: "sorry xd".
I even made an effort not to snore, putting the sleeve of my sweatshirt in my mouth, but it was useless, because after a few seconds, I was out of it and three doritos later, he went to sleep in Jorge's room.
"The farewell"
It was my first trip out of the country, which had me pretty excited from start to finish. I got to enjoy and learn about new cultures. If I ever have the opportunity to travel again, "I don't think about it and I'll shoot," said Kid Lucilfer.
Thanks for reading this tumblr post, I had to post it.
One down, now there are other stories to tell.
Hhello tumblr. Before starting, I want to clarify that this is from the month of February 2022 (so you don't think that we are on summer vacation in Chile, because we are now in Autumn).
To put in context, my working life began when I was 16 years old, leaving aside a lot of time from my personal life, sacrificing friends and family.
With this, I was so affected that when the pandemic arrived in our country, it was the worst thing that could happen to me. So many days locked up by an agency that consumed me all the time caused me headaches, anxiety and falls to the hospital due to lack of rest.
Currently, I work quietly in another place and, well, in February they gave me summer vacations (and yes, it is strange to say it and that they give me vacations since I have been working there for 7 months since they usually give you vacations when you have been there for 1 year).
When I got this vacation, I was excited. It was 2 and a half weeks, and well... I was able to do a lot. Go out with my father, my partner and get together with my friends (yep, with the same ones from my early birthday party).
He was so happy, he didn't know what to do. I went camping in my favorite place, I went out to restaurants, I traveled to many places and most importantly (and as you can see in the photo), I went to a beautiful waterfall.
Unfortunately I won't leave any more photos since I lost them and I only have the ones from Instagram (and I won't upload those photos because they look a bit pixelated, hopefully I'll accept the one I leave here on tumblr).
That, I wanted to leave as a record that after many years, I had my summer vacations, and it was a great respite for me.
The break of 2 and a half weeks was so great that I finished a goal of work that should be ready for May or June, I finished it in 2 weeks.
Before we start, I want to clarify that I love vintage (and it was mentioned in my bio). Everything related to Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista and 7 I love it. And today, I still love many things that to this day are at the top of my pure classic fanaticism.
It's funny to see my wallpaper a bit with something classic in the middle.
First you have a "WinMac" wallpaper, then in the middle a weird but wonderful little combination.
Something happens here.
A conversation between Colato Films and me caused a little discomfort inside me. "Will I be able to combine Spotify and Winamp so that I can listen to the best of my playlist with the classic interface?"
And so, if you can.
It turns out that years ago there was a little program called "Spotiamp" and I promise you that I had never heard of it (because in those years I was still using the famous .mp3 files and I didn't use streaming platforms because it was rare to see something like that). This software took it upon itself to combine the best of both worlds today, especially if you're a computer geek who loves the old with the new.
That is why I decided to venture into this program and give it a go. I installed this program and it scared me a bit, because as soon as I opened this, I got a tab asking for my credentials.
I entered them and said to myself "what can I lose with this?".
I logged in, verified credentials, and the adventure began. And now, I can't stop listening to my favorite songs with classic Winamp.
I promise you that this post is not an advertisement or anything like that, it's just that I find it interesting and wonderful to see that vintage is still alive with the most up-to-date technology.
Post update [04/07/2022 @ 21:10 GMT -4]: I have installed Spotiamp on my personal notebook and it still looks amazing, especially with the same background as my Tumblr. This is fucking amazing!
Before you wish me a happy birthday, I'll give you the heads up that today is not my birthday. The date is March 21 of each year.
I want to post this drawing here to leave it as a nice memory of an Argentine friend that I have on my social networks (and I have known her since the years of Skype).
Brenda (or Sasu, Brendiwi, @ladycreepy14 or whatever you want to call her) has been a colleague who has heard me laugh, cry and scream a lot when I'm chilling in Grand Theft Auto V.
This drawing was delivered on March 21, 2020 and I want to leave it here for posterity. I feel like it deserves a special space in this little life diary or leisure tumblr that is trying to become a personal blog or old-fashioned instagram.
Honestly, I don't remember when this photo was taken but I remember 100% its context. This was in "Party Hard Chillán". According to my Facebook log, this was June 26, 2015 (although I feel like it was a couple of weeks earlier).
In the photo and a bit of background (just to the left), you can see a woman smiling, because she is Yesenia (or Yesy, Yesybumps, or whatever they want to call her). She has accompanied me in this story for a long time and I am happy to continue by her side.
I remember that it was one of our first parties in a disco when she was "younger" than she is now (and I emphasize this because I am 24 years old today).
I am very happy to continue going out with her to different places (like Osorno, Valdivia or even Puerto Montt).
This photo has something special, because two memories come together: one of them is what I mentioned in the previous paragraphs, and the second is that it was used by Radio Absolut as a promotion for a program called "The weekend party".
What great memories those.
I hope that one day, we can continue to write more memories like that.
PS: And yes, we still go out to parties, although not much because of Yesy's studies and my work.
Yelling is something I'm good at, especially since I don't do it every day. With this I can release tension, bad times or simply express myself in a slightly different way and perhaps bring out my aggressive side.
I don't usually create situations to be able to do this, but when the opportunity to yell comes up, I just do it.
For the same reason, I "censored myself" with the Parental Advisory seal, because normally when I scream, I usually free myself with Chilean profanities... you know... *screams in Chilean*.
But hey, I think I'll leave a record of what could once be an album cover (and if someone uses it and it appears on Spotify or Apple Music, please let me know and I'll make it part of my story).
